Jinglehunter Storyline

Once a modest mortal in the Elven kingdom of Aravia, the Jinglehunter led an honest life. He did others no wrong and sought nothing but to bring joy to one and all. Through his selfless dedication to others, many lives were improved, sometimes even saved. Never a true soldier at heart, he did nonetheless learn the art of the bow and would stand up to evil without fear in his heart. And it was this kindness that saved his own life and gave him a new purpose. Lost in the Mountains of Despair on the Winter Solstice, the hunter had almost abandoned all hope when the cheerful sound of jingling bells rose him from the frost-induced slumber. At first, he could scarcely believe his eyes, for tales of Sir Nicholas were well known to the High Elves, and the poor hunter thought it was all but a dream. But when Lumaya’s servant stepped onto the icy cliffs and the cold receded by his will alone, the Elf fell to his knees and gave praise to the Goddess. Yet this miraculous rescue was just the beginning. The hunter’s heart was pure and honest, thus Sir Nicholas gave him a chance to serve Lumaya’s law and bring hope to all those who would accept Her light. Without hesitation, the Merry Elf accepted. Known as Jinglehunter, he now rides into the night with Sir Nicholas on ever Winter Solstice.

Jinglehunter Review

Jinglehunter, an Epic Attack Spirit affinity champion from the High Elves faction in Raid Shadow Legends, has descended fresh from the sacred grounds of Santa’s workshop. Adorned in a festive garb of emerald green and crimson red, reminiscent of the jolly attire of Santa’s elves. The hero wields a golden bow and arrow, glinting in the sunlight like a beacon of hope in the dark of winter. A small shield with a vibrant maple icon is strapped to the hero’s other arm, a symbol of their unwavering loyalty and fierce determination. With each step, the hero’s presence fills the air with a sense of awe and wonder, promising to defend the realm with unmatched skill and valor.

Brimming with an Arena speed aura and a cunning kit tailor-made for dominating the competition, Jinglehunter boasts the power to freeze entire enemy armies with a flick of his wrist. His technique revolves around keeping enemies at bay and grinding down their turn meter, which demands he maintains his own speed and precision to guarantee that his attacks inflict the desired debuffs on his adversaries.

Moreover, Jinglehunter is no stranger to the Spider, where his ability to slash the Turn Meter of all opponents in his sights makes him an essential asset. While his utility in dungeon waves is commendable, the master elf is classified as a mid-tier epic in this regard.

(Funny enough, I have the same team than comment below for FW)

My usual epic drops for HE are Luthieas and Thenasils, so this merry guy was a good change (since neither of the other two are actually good).

Overall he’s pretty decent, and aside of Hyria (rare), you don’t have too many elf/green damage-dealing options (aside of legos).
He’s not particularly hard-hitting, so crit/ignore def/acc is really needed (I skipped speed: he’s better finishing off enemies rather than outright killing, so best leave him act after the others).

If you have the resources, might be ok to 6*, since he could benefit from reducing enemies turn and ignoring def, but is not really someone you’ll have around for long (or that can be used on more areas).

    Eh, people are jaded.

He’s not great, but if you pull him early on and lack many/good (or any, if your luck is that rotten) epics, you may want him to be your nuker. Granted, he’s no Lua-tier (hell, he’s not even a Coldheart-alternative), but he does bring some turn meter/crowd control, and if invested into, you can use him pretty much everywhere – just be aware, that if you *do* pull a Lua/Skullcrown/Enchantress, you’ll probably wish you had saved your books.

On the bright side, he’s useful in FW/FK even without booking, in the Arena you’ll probably want a better speed aura lead, but if that’s all you have at hand – you could do worse. Some AOE, some turn meter… It’s all ok-ish. He’s here, he looks weird, take it or leave it.

Mid tier, maybe upper-mid – not because he’s all that good, but because there’s a lot of actual trash epics.

    6-star him? I won’t.

    5 star him? I did.

    Book him? I didn’t.

Scroll him? I did up to rank 4, mainly for FW, as my High Elf team sucked (now it sucks a bit less) with Elhain, Apo, Vergis, Heiress and now Jingl-o

Arena? Not on your life, mate 😀

  3. zook

He’s garbage. spent time on him. Under whelming result. He’s not worth it. Hardly ever encounter him in arena as an opponent. And when I do, he’s dead in first round. Over rated in arena. No, no no no no.

  4. Svraka

great champion, better than katun in arena! speed boost isnt as important as turn meter boost (like seeker or apo, + they are both fast) and/or decrease turn meter (psylar, also fast). one of them goes 1st, insuring others on team go before enemy, and jingle goes 4th, increasing chances of him killing 1 and freezeing others.
not to mention, he gives 6% more speed boost

and i dont know why ppl bother keeping him alive for more than 1 or 2 turns. when he uses A2 and (maybe) A3, RIP!

  5. Svraka

@Kindred dont bother keeping him alive. make shure he goes last so theres higher chance of him killing enemy with A2..after that, if he survives to use A3, great, if not, no big deal. hes main purpose is speed increas

  6. Svraka

@Kindred let him die. his main use is to boost your other champs and hes great at it, better than high katun in arena. mine goes last so theres good chance his A2 freeze wil proc. and if he survives to use A3, his use is finished

  7. Kindred

I seem to be having a hard time with this champion, I have him at max level and fully ascended. 6-star gear and is fully upgraded and enchanted, but he still never survive more than 2 rounds in combat. Any advice would be helpful.

  8. Junonymous

Ahmmm.. I think you got the wrong information in building support…
You said on #2 EXALT IN DEATH…… but As i can see in the picture, it says that its “CHARGE FOCUS”

Which should i follow on the guide… No. 2 that is on the list or no. 2 on the picture??..

    Please do answer.. Thank you

  9. Zook

Maybe he works fully book somehow. But in arena he’s a joke. I tried to bring him up but there are a lot better options. I love beating his ass in arena. Don’t waste you time on him in my opinion.

  10. Rruffuss

Better use Jinglehunter or Spirithost in Arenateam?

  11. K

I’m seeing some discrepancies between the Jinglehunter Mastery Guide image and the lists below it. (Life Drinker vs Whirlwind of Death under Offense and Exalt in Death vs Charged Focus under Support) Which is correct?

Oh, and thank you for such an awesomely useful site! 🙂

  12. WileyMan

    @Flintstone; @Confusedone

The Sir Nicholas fusion was available for only a limited time in February of 2019. You are 18 months too late. Unfortunately, Fusions are a lot tougher now, mainly because the champions are much harder to get.

  13. Bahi

    FW – 4-5*

SPIDER – manualy works well, but for auto, he will not aim spiderlings. That mean, he will not freeze them if you use autoplay = not 5 *

  14. Goretaint

I would give him 5 stars in faction wars. His freeze and turn meter manipulation is huge there!

  15. WiredDPS

    How is he in Spider?
Will the AOE freeze work on the spiderlings or is 1 turn just to short?

  16. Shahram

This is a great champion to use on your arena speed nuke team

  17. Confusedone

Is the Sir Nicholas fusion a joke? I’m not seeing it.

  18. Flintstone

At 5* he can also be fused for Sir Nicholas, thanks for these guides 😉

  19. Marius Florin Nita

Is this champ worth ir to focus on for arena?
