Ithos Review

Ithos is a Legendary Attack Void affinity champion from the High Elves faction in Raid Shadow Legends. He carries around a shield that’s as useless as a screen door on a submarine. The poor guy’s a glass cannon, and that shield might as well be made of paper. But don’t let that fool you – Ithos is a force to be reckoned with. He’s got an AOE attack that hits harder than a hurricane, and he’s the fastest champion around when it comes to clearing out Nightmare campaign stage 12-6 as a high-experience food farmer.

When it comes to clearing waves leading up to a boss, Ithos is the man for the job. He’s especially handy in Ice Golem, but he can hold his own in Dragon and Fire Knight too. Some of the fastest dungeon times on record our thanks to Ithos and his knack for smashing his way through waves like a wrecking ball. The key to building this beast is to forget about accuracy and focus on speed, crit rate, and crit damage. Give him some Cruel or Savage gear if you can swing it.

Sure, Ithos has a weakness on his A2, but don’t waste your time trying to buff it up with accuracy. Just let him do what he does best – nuke the living daylights out of anything that crosses his path. All in all, Ithos is a champion among champions – a top-tier legend that’s worth every bit of investment.

Ithos Champion Lore

The lofty standards and exacting nature of the High Elves are their blessing and their curse. Justified pride so easily turns to arrogance, and a bruised Elven ego can be a fearsome thing indeed. Snubbed by those he most respected and denied the title that he was obsessed with, Ithos has become a degenerate example of the worst excesses of the High Elf mindset.

From his youngest days, Ithos wished to become the Royal Huntsman, one of the most prestigious titles available to servants of the Aravian monarchs. The Royal Huntsman is the hand of the crown at home and abroad, whose many-fold duties include hunting fugitives, executing dissidents, and spycraft and subterfuge. The Royal Huntsman acts with near-total impunity, answering only to the monarch. Ithos craved the glory of the title, and more so desired the absolute freedom to act as judge, jury, and executioner to the enemies of his people.

Though Ithos excelled at the various examinations and trials that would-be Royal Huntsmen are subjected to, when his mind was probed by skilled Aravian interrogators they found him to be too mentally unstable and self-absorbed to truly fit the role. They sensed his true desires: a license to hurt and kill without consequence, unquestionable status, and a shroud of fear to wear. With the blunt scorn that many say is typical of High Elves, they told him point-blank that his temperament was unsuitable and that he was permanently disqualified from the role of Royal Huntsman. Ithos did not take it well.

Ithos swore that his examiners were incompetent and that his talents were unmatched, conjuring conspiracies against him in his febrile imagination. When another, anonymous, candidate was raised to the status of Huntsman, Ithos vowed to show the Aravian bureaucrats that he, and no other, was the greatest hunter in the land and the most deserving of the role. Without seeking permission, Ithos embarked on a campaign of savage terror against those he perceived as the greatest threats and humiliations to the Kingdom of Aravia — some of whom were longstanding antagonists to the state, while others were simply those who got in lthos’ way.

A notable anti-Elf propagandist of Human stock living in Arnoc thought himself safe in his high tower, beyond the borders of Aravia. His lofty abode exploded in a tremendous flame that lit the night sky like the noonday sun, causing it to collapse and burn to ruin. A trading company run by recalcitrant Dwarves reneged on a deal with one of the Aravian merchant guilds, only to find the president of their enterprise torn to pieces, his limbs and organs scattered around his warehouse and his blood soaking and defiling their valuable inventory. An Orc warlord who dared launch raids against Aravian caravans was stalked and harried until he went mad, even as he fled across Peltas to try to escape Ithos’ reach. Witnessing his friends and companions murdered one by one by his seemingly all-powerful hunter, his mind cracked from the stress and grief, and the Orc fled gibbering into the desert and perished from exposure. More gruesome tales exist, too horrible to relate.

When the Aravian authorities heard of lthos’ mad quest to usurp the Royal Huntsman, they were largely appalled. A few in the Aravian ministries of justice tacitly or overtly offered approval of Ithos’ activities, however. They argued for the utility of an unofficial Huntsman, a deniable asset whose goals largely if incompletely overlapped with their own – even if Ithos and his methods lacked the expected restraint and subtlety of those of a true Huntsman. A spirited debate ensued, but in the end royal judgment fell against Ithos and his backers. Whatever use Ithos could be to the crown was deemed to not be worth the ignominy of his deeds, and the likelihood that eventually his twisted judgment would place innocents or even important personages at risk.

Those who had examined Ithos were held accountable for his rampage, since they were the ones who rejected and subsequently released him back into the general populace, when in retrospect they should have detained him and his dangerously troubled mind. With bitter irony, the true Royal Huntsman was assigned the task of finding and apprehending Ithos — the ‘impostor’ Huntsman. A deadly game is now quietly unfolding across Aravia, frequently spilling out beyond their borders as Ithos roams the breadth of Teleria in his delusional work. If nothing else, Ithos may soon get his chance to compare his skill to the person chosen instead of him.

I just pulled him and he looks fun, question about his A1 though. Can it work like Chevaliers and he can possibly just keep attacking with it over and over?

  2. IthosMastery

Savage gear is not a 2 set, but 4 are required for bonus stats. Is this a mistake, or did you put these on for grins?

  3. North of Death

I got Ithos in that new Instinct gear and savage gear the best of all my pieces of both. All 6 Star leggo stuff. Glyphed out. He’s got 6,230 attack, 100% CR, 270% CD, 229 speed, 235 acc, 1890 def and 35k hp.
To say that he is anything below S Tier is ridiculous. He outdamages my Hurndig, Seer and M Salad. On FW 21 he clears the first 2 waves in one shot every time. And it only takes a 2 rounds to finish off the Boss.
A1 85-90k, A2 35-40k x 3, A3 120-125k. (This is without any debuffs on the enemy, just the potential ignore 45% def between his gear and Helmsmasher)

  4. IthosKing

@mcwippitt If you haven’t already, you’ll do better by dropping your AP and investing in crit dmg with Savage gear. Savage will make a huge impact in how much damage Ithos can dish out. You’re probably able to clear until about 60-70 on DT normal with Ithos solo with those stats. Upping your crit dmg ands using Savage will bring that up to the 90s-100s.

  5. McWippit

Some Updates on Ithos: Currently my Ithos has 40K HP, 7K ATk, 1,800 DEF, 103% Crt Rate, 165 Crt Damage, decent speed, etc.
Ithos owns Nightmare campaigns, in Doom Tower I often use Ithos alone on a floor, as he easily destroys the waves, and is not so much of a glass cannon as described.
Ithos is also very good in Potion dungeons, Ice Golem, Minotaur and Fire Knight, (in FK mostly to quickly destroy the first 2 waves, but his A2 also counts as 3 hits on Boss).
Currently looking at lowering his ATK a bit….and raising Crt Damage to 260, to see how much difference it makes. I use Maneater (who has very high speed) with Ithos in Arena, and avoid Buff removing champs like Serris, etc. As long as Maneater goes first, which he usually does, it spells death for those speed teams. In Arena….you have to be a fool to use champs like Seeker to Provoke Ithos, as my Ithos will immediately hit their team 3 times in a row…destroying any such team. Ithos will hit once because of Provoke, again because of counterattack and then usually his normal turn…..and game over.

  6. Chayot Ha Kodesh

I think Ithos should have 5 stars on the Scarab King. He has a reduce max hp on his A1 and once the team whittles the scarab down to about 80% hp it accelerates so fast that Ithos alone can take the scarab out in a few rounds. I have his attack and crit dmg high so he’s a little squishy but with Duchess Lilitu to revive him and Klodd Beastfeeder to protect him with shields and healing, he does ridiculous damage.

  7. Dim

Why is this guy 4star in FW and Elhain in 5star bracket? I use him and Royal guard as DPS for 21 and is consistent 3 min farms with not insane gear, he honestly deserves 4 star in every dungeon besides spider too, simply cause he is excellent waveclear for the thrash waves and does good dmg on bosses. He and Hurding are the next best thing for people that do not own a seer.

  8. McWippit

My Ithos is a little over 41K power. He consistently does Nightmare Campaigns in 13 seconds. Due to Masteries, he’s not so much the glass cannon he could be. He is useful in Fire Knight as his A2 counts as 3 hits, and he constantly gets extra turns (I have him in 3 speed sets). With Coldheart on the team, they do heavy damage to FN boss quick. In Dungeons I have Ithos paired with Rector Drath (who is an excellent healer/reviver), Also paired in Arena. So if Ithos gets killed, no big deal, especially in Arena. In Arena this can actually be an advantage, because Rector Drath will instantly revive him, minus any Debuffs enemies put on him in their first wave. I’ve had Ithos take as many as 7 turns in a row. Not many champs can stand multi hits from Ithos, LOL.

  9. Daniel Leon

I forgot also in campaing, I am farming alone NM. 5 stars!!! thank you

  10. Daniel Leon

PLEASE! Update the stars of this champion in faction wars and dungeons is amazing.

    5 stars please

    thank you

  11. Gavin

I have ithos and he is amazing. I believe he should be 5 star in many of the sections. Take this information from a person who actually has him. I have mine equipped with all cruel and his gloves, chest plate, and boots all have attack%. And I have his masteries done from this website.

  12. HW3

He got me to 3 stars on nightmare on every stage but the very last (cannot get past 1 star for that one)

  13. Dave F.

Ithos is the best speed farmer / pure damage dealer in the game. Any dungeon, anywhere. He should at the very least be 5* in campaign farming, he can do nightmare solo in 10 seconds. And he really should be 4* or 5* everywhere except clan boss and spider.

  14. JohanQIrenicus

Love your page but in this case Ithos is never, ever B-Tier!!

He’s the BEST nuker in the game, beast in arena, dungeons, tower and factions.. he erradicates waves so easy!

Cheers! keep on and thanks for the web

  15. Rhageal

You really moved him all the way from S tier to B, so slyly lmao

  16. Totolas Ticot

I don’t get why he is only 3 stars in so much places.

    Without him I couldnt do
    – Minotaur 20 : sub 1′
    – Dragon 20 : sub 2′
    – Golem 20 : helps a lot, but still 3’30
    – Spider up to stage 17 : he is a monster if played with an aoe decrease def

Campain : I do 6-10s on 12.3 and I got the 3 stars easily on half the nm campain with him

It is true that you need to have specific stats.
I had him for arena with 5.4K ATK, 180 speed, 40% Crit rate, 270% Crit damage… Of course I did not use him in campain like that. But changing crit rate to 70% and speed to 220 (I lost 0.7K ATK and 20 Crit Damage) and I realised he was farming campain insanely fast. And in dungeon using him even if he is not recommended made me gain 1min everywhere.

Rq: If you have not him booked, you NEED cycle of violence at least to play him efficiently out of arena.

  17. Juergen

Ithos was one of the 1st legos I pulled and I am now mid-game where he is part of my Arena Offense (Gold IV) and my Speedfarmer avg 12-3 in abou 8-12secs with his record being 6secs. Sure there are also other champs that can do it, but why gear a 2nd if he does a great job? … and he still has one of my 1st gears and let’s say is at 75-80% of his potential.

He helped me early in the game through all the trash mobs in Dungeons up to level 16 and does hit the dungeon boss hard. In Arena his A3 nukes 70% of the teams – however my team is also setup for this and his A2 gives it most of the times the rest. Watch Kizzle’s video: “his A3 hits like a truck” – and it does.

When you get to late game you seem him far less in Arena teams and he becomes significantly less useful in dungeons still very helpful in some – btw, I never used him in Clan Boss where I went for poison right from the start (Outlaw Monk ftw)

So if you pull him early to mid game he is S tier – the more you progress he becomes A tier

Here is a ss as a campaign farmer: https://prnt.sc/rzdihx

  18. InFlames7189

I noticed that you have Ithos listed a 4* for campaign here on his page but in the campaign rankings he is 5*.

  19. Raayna

    @Stephen

Unfortunately I was the same. Got him to 6*, maxed out his masteries and used a couple of books on his A3. Now he’s sitting gear-less until I figure out how to fit him in my arena team.

The “S” tier was very misleading for me as well, but go through the previous comments and you’ll see why he’s suited at a B/A tier.

He is still (factually) one of the best nukers in the game, with his A3 being the highest damage dealing skills in the whole game.

He excels in arena and faction wars and is very glass cannon.

Still a great champ to have and to use, you just need to build him with very high crit damage and ATK.

  20. Stephen

Great, just maxed him out using all my resources, as you had him S tier yesterday. I just logged back in and now he’s B!?

  21. Ayumilove Post author

@Deacs2017: I have re-updated Ithos’s ratings based on utility he provides to the team in Campaign, Dungeon, Clan Boss, Arena and Faction Wars.

  22. Raayna

    @Deacs2017

Ithos usability is literally stated as “Late Game”, so these ratings can’t be based of early game, logically…

I built my Ithos with 280% crit damage and 4500 ATK (with maxed masteries) and he is extremely squishy and will die in the first trash mob wave in any dungeon. I wasn’t able to use him in dungeons, and most definitely not for NM/UNM Clan Boss.

I agree these ratings are extremely confusing and very misleading to be honest. Should be 3 stars for most of the dungeons, along with 2/3 for CB.

And yes I do agree he is an S tier for Arena (Faction Wars too), but that’s it. Him excelling in only one or two aspects of the game shouldn’t put him to S tier overall. Because with that logic, Vizier being one of the best champs for CB, he should be an S tier champ as well then, and not a B tier champ, no?

Exact same for Mountain King, if we follow the same logic as AyumiLove used for Ithos, Mountain King being amazing in Arena should put him in S tier too, and not C. Since Ithos is great in Arena too, and is in S tier.

  23. Deacs2017

@Raayna Yeah I think it’s based on early game for dungeons. I do agree he’s an SS tier for arena offense but he ain’t even a 2 even a 3 in spider 20. He’s probably more like a 4 in dragon 20 and in fire knight, especially later stages he bring nothing to the table other than his hard hitter A3 AoE which gets shrugged off by the adds with 400k+ base health and high defense. There’s a multitude of other champions that bring more to the table like provoke, stun, freeze, revive, speed etc. Take Trunda for example, she’s a bad affinity for FK20 but she will control the waves much better than Ithos despite her being the weak affinity, yet Trunda is a 3* in FK and Ithos is 5? I just don’t understand the reasoning behind these ratings and I truly believe most of these ratings are based on early game where Ithos very well could put out solid numbers on clan boss until you get to brutal. After brutal any rare poisoner, hp burner, defense based champion will put out at least twice the damage of Ithos because they will live longer and can actually contribute something like decrease attack, increase def etc.

  24. Raayna

What? Be isn’t an S rank champ. Sure maybe B or A but “S”, no. Nor is he 5 stars in every aspect in the game, especially not Clan Boss. I’m very confused with these ratings, they’re very misleading

  25. Deacs2017

lol he’s good but he ain’t a 5* in clan boss with no defense base. He ain’t a 5* in spider, ice golem or dragon either. He’s solid in most dungeons but early on but is rarely used in lvl 20 content. Dragon is the only place he’s viable and that’s pretty generous. Arena defense he’s a 4. Offense wise he’s god tier for sure. He is an arena champ not a spider, ice golem, let alone clan boss specialist lolz

  26. Ayumilove Post author

@John: Thanks for highlighting the issue. I have updated Ithos skill description “Outburst” Weaken 25% to Weakn 15%.

  27. John

He sadly only has 15% weaken on A2 instead of 25% 🙁 Everywhere its showing 25% even on plariums wiki but in game its 15%

  28. Ayumilove Post author

@SnydeWytch: Thanks for your input! I have updated Ithos’s equipment recommendation.

  29. Ayumilove Post author

@Mark: Thanks for highlighting the rankings for Ithos. I have updated his Rank to A after evaluating his performance in battle.

  30. SnydeWytch

Straight up best arena nuke in the game. This rank is super low. Gauntlets should also be crit dam, not crit rate. He has guaranteed crit on his A3 which is your nuke attack.

  31. Mark

This guy should rank A or B atleast.

He is 5 star across the board and I have seen several other sites rank him god tier or epic tier.

  32. Will

How does this have 5 stars across the board, but rank as a C class legendary?
