Infernal Baroness Overview

Meet the fiery mistress of battle from the Demonspawn legion, known as the Infernal Baroness, who is a Force affinity Defense champion in Raid Shadow Legends. This epic warrior excels in unleashing havoc across enemy lines with her powerful second ability. This fearsome attack not only damages all foes but also weakens their offense, proving her a formidable adversary in the heat of combat.

Her arsenal includes a unique trick up her sleeve – the ability to cloak one of your attacking champions under a veil of invisibility, ensuring their protection while she bravely confronts the enemy head-on. This tactic is not just about playing hide and seek; it’s a strategic move that allows her to absorb the brunt of the attacks, showcasing her as a clever guardian on the battlefield. Whether it’s navigating the treacherous paths of Faction Wars or facing the horrors of the Spider and its minions, her combination of offensive prowess and protective magic makes her a valuable ally.

While some might argue that investing in her skills through books might not revolutionize your game, it’s hardly a deal-breaker. The Infernal Baroness stands her ground as a versatile mid-tier epic, bringing a mix of utility and firepower to the table. It’s said that in the world of combat, books are the weapons of the wise; for the Infernal Baroness, they’re just another tool in her arsenal. So, while she might not be the librarian’s favorite patron, her ability to make enemies hit the books – quite literally – is unmatched.

Dungeons (Spider’s Den)

This mastery setup specializes for Spider’s Den dungeon where Infernal Baroness will be the tank/bait champion to auto provoke the Spiderlings in a weak affinity stage (e.g. Spider’s Den Stage 20 – Spirit Affinity). Infernal Baroness is required to be equipped with Retaliation Set or Lifesteal Set to heal from each of her AoE attacks. If you have a champion who could apply AoE Leech debuff to the spiderling’s (e.g. Ma’Shalled), then Retaliation Set would be much more beneficial as she can counterattack each time the Spiderling attacks her from either the trigger from Retaliation Set or Retribution mastery. The Spiderling will have a higher chance of activating a Critical Hit against champions who are weaker than them. Hence, its appropriate to have Improved Parry and Delay Death mastery to reduce the incoming damage. Life Drinker and Rejuvenation will increase the amount of healing that Infernal Baroness gets when she attacks and heals. Warmaster mastery is crucial as it will deal the damage based on Enemy MAX HP, which will convert into a large chunk of healing for Infernal Baroness to enable her to survive longer in battle! Do take note that you need to have your tank bait with high resist stat to resist the Spiderling’s poison debuff. For every Dungeon Level, multiply the Resist by 15 for a successful debuff resist! (Example: Stage 20 * 15 = 300 Resist). In addition, Bloodthirst and Blood Shield mastery does not proc against killing Spiderling, so these masteries would not benefit Infernal Baroness to increase her survivability in Spider’s Den.

Infernal Baroness Storyline

For all their vile nature and often bestial ferocity in battle, Demonspawn legions are far from being an uncontrollable horde. Indeed, their discipline and organization are among the prime reasons why the servants of Siroth are so dangerous. Their twisted commanders bear many of the same titles of nobility that the Lords of Teleria are used to, and often direct their lesser kin with guile and ruthless intent. The Infernal Baroness prefers to let her minions – and, of course, a majestic being like her can only have minions, not allies – to do most of the fighting, while she directs them. One should not mistake that for inability to fight, however. This demoness is more than capable of dispatching foes in person, should the need arise, and she does strike out frequently, allowing those at her side to be strengthened by the blood she spills while her foes wither and turn frail. She is even capable of bending the shadows to her will and wrapping them around her chosen Champion, letting them move and make battle unseen.

@Joseph Garrison: Yes, you can take advantage of Infernal Baroness AoE attack abilities by equipping her in Stun Set to crowd control difficult enemies, especially for the new Cursed City content.

  2. Joseph Garrison

JUST pulled her… Stun set for the new content, correct?

  3. courageouslio

in the list it shows baroness as 5* but here she is listed as 4* for spiders den

  4. Zorg Ratsbane

Great in Faction with a Stun Set.

  5. 20Twenty

Thanks Ayumi – the write-up and mastery suggestions you’ve added for Spider strategy are brilliant! It all makes sense now, that the previous suggestion in the Mastery Guide was for general dungeon strategy but dungeons other than Spider.

  6. Ayumilove Post author

@20Twenty and @Qilon: I have included the Offense Tree Mastery and Defense Tree Mastery that I used on my AoE Nuker (e.g. Sinesha) as a tank bait for Spider’s Den 20 for your references. It allows me to auto it comfortably provided you have sufficient Resist to prevent the Spiderling from poisoning your tanker. For every Dungeon Level, multiply the Resist by 15 for a successful debuff resist! (Example: Stage 20 * 15 = 300 Resist).

  7. 20Twenty

@Qilon, It’s strange that you ask your question independently of mine, rather than joining in the same conversation, since what’s being suggested (when tanking spiders) is that you shouldn’t use the Support tree for that at all . . . use the Defense tree . . . or don’t you agree so you just ignored this? The main point being that Ayumilove already suggested the Retribution mastery in his answer to Art Griswold.

  8. Qilon

Mastery question: if Im mainly using her for tanking spiders utilizing the a1 heal wouldn’t I be better off using healing savior and merciful aid, rather than single out and evil eye? Thanks in advance!

  9. 20Twenty

@Ayumilove: You recommend the Retribution mastery in a comment below regarding the use of Infernal Baroness as tank bait in Spider 20, which I think is excellent advice indeed due to her A1 AOE. But that’s using the defense mastery tree yet the guide above suggests offense & support trees for everything, including dungeons. I think the Retribution advice supersedes the general dungeon strategy so that for Spider at least (even if perhaps not for other dungeons) we’d build her in a similar fashion as for Battlesage but with Warmaster in the offense tree instead of Helmsmasher, and in the defense tree that would be Tough Skin, Blastproof, Shadow Heal, Delay Death, Retribution: agreed?

  10. Ayumilove Post author

@Ken: She has definitely has usages since her A1 skill is an AoE attack. I use similar champion (e.g. Sinesha) who is also Force affinity to tank the Spiderling attack, while the rest of the champions kill the Spider boss. This strategy is very popular when you do not have a Shield champion like Miscreated Monster, Counter Attack champion nor HP Burn champion. I use this strategy to auto Spider Den 20 run to pass the Progress Mission to get Arbiter.

@Art Griswold: I would just build 1 of Infernal Baroness Level 60 and use her as a tank bait for Spider’s Den 20 (250 Resist, 26K HP, 2K Defense, 200 Speed) + Retribution Mastery for Counterattack + Warmaster Mastery to deal high amount of damage to high MAX HP enemies to recover using Lifesteal Set. Keep another copy of Infernal Baroness for Champion Fusion. She can also be use for Faction Wars as a Crowd Control with Stun Set. Many possibilitles can be done by tweaking her equipment since she has an AoE attack on her default A1 skill.

  12. Art Griswold

How would you approach having 5 of this champ?
1 built and 4 books, or build more than one?

I’ve been “lucky” enough to pull 5, and am curious

  13. Ken

I am disappointed with this champ. It always view the leader and waste the turn. It cannot be booked and not doing enough damage. I can barely pass spider 15.

  14. Ayumilove Post author

@Tom Chapman Barros-Wing: Avenging Set can be use similarly to Retaliation Set as it has a higher chances to proc. However, it will proc at the rate when getting hit by a Critical Hit from the enemy. Should the enemy not perform any Critical Damage on your champion, the gear effect is useless. Retaliation Set is much better since it will trigger on any hits (Strong Hit, Weak Hit, Normal Hit and Critical Hit). If you have very good stats on Avenging Set (Broken Set), then you can use it along with other broken sets for its substats. Once you have collected sufficient pieces of gear, then you can form them into a Set for the added benefits. Personally, I don’t use Avenging Set on any of my champions except for Broken Sets. However, I do mix with other better sets. For example, Retaliation Set (4 equipment pieces) and 2 broken Avenging Sets (example: Speed Boots with good substats or Critical Rate Gloves with good substats). The only place I see Avenging Set is useful is in Arena, where most Nuking Champions are geared with full Critical Rate and Critical Damage, as oppose to PvE champions in Campaign, Dungeons and Faction Wars.

  15. Tom Chapman Barros-Wing

Fice’s video shows him using the Avenging set (which I’ve never used), but Ayumilove recommends Retaliation. I’m curious about the logic here. Is Avenging worse? I systematically sell mine, but I’ve seen a lot of awesome pieces go by in my grinding. Should I be using them?

  16. BeefimusPrime

How well does infernal baroness synergize with excruciator for PvE content?

  17. Perico

Hi Aerandir. My advice is to keep an extra copy of an epic, if you have dupes. You never know when you may need it for a fusion. I personally ate my Basher and my Bonekeeper, and now I regret it!!
You can take it to level 50 if you have the time too. I would love to have one more copy of it for Tag Team Arena.

  18. Aerandir

Greetings! One question. If I get one extra Infernal Baroness besides the one I have lvl 50, what should I do with here?

  19. Perico

If you have Skullcrusher, It’s great to use in arenas the perfect veil on it, so they target her and get the counter for all their team.
Build her tanky and with lots of DEF and HP. She will destroy faster teams with her counterattack easily.

  20. Faction Wars?

    Faction Wars?

  21. Seeferkel

I can also suggest her with Retaliation Set and completely full on resist. That way she tanks the spiderlings until spider 17 quite well.
Masteries I use Offense as above and Defense to increase resistance.
That way you need someone doing Aoe decrease attack, but that should be in every spider team.

  22. androgamer

she is great is all dungeons (fire knight included) as she hits all enemies/has heal on a1 (making her one of the best options for stun set) and has aoe decrease attack which is great against bosses and waves

  23. matthias schuster

Why this how rating on ice golem and dragon?

@CharmingPig: The mastery for Infernal Baroness remains the same since her skill mechanics did not change much apart from using DEF stats instead of ATK stats for her base damage.

  26. DeclaredSnow

Wondering about the same thing as CharmingPiggie-

  27. CharmingPig

Was that mastery build updated since the change from ATK to DEF? Wanting to use her for spider, but I am wondering if shes best down the def tree now.
