Holguk of the Hallowsights Overview
Holguk of the Hallowsights is a Legendary Spirit-affinity Support Champion from the Orcs, a grim seer whose mastery of the spirit world has made him both savior and exile. His towering frame is wrapped in battered, bone-laden armor, while a horned helm and skull-like face give him the appearance of an Orc who has walked too long among the dead. In his hands, a massive skull-topped staff crackles with violet energy, a fitting weapon for a warrior who can call the fallen back from beyond the grave. His kit reflects that unsettling connection to death: he can revive an entire team, protect allies with Shields and Revive on Death, and curse every enemy with Hex while stripping away their buffs. Holguk is therefore far more than a conventional reviver, he is a battlefield controller who turns death, enemy buffs, and Hex itself into weapons for his allies.
His Spirit-Speaker (A3) ability is the centerpiece of his kit, reviving all dead allies at 50% HP and Turn Meter while placing Revive on Death on the entire team and providing a team-wide Shield based on his MAX HP. This gives Holguk exceptional recovery potential in difficult PvE encounters and makes him especially valuable when a team can survive long enough to benefit from multiple layers of protection. His passive, Leader of Exiles, makes those Revive on Death revivals even more effective by filling the revived Champion’s Turn Meter by another 50%, allowing them to act far sooner than a typical revived ally. In Arena, his 28% Speed Aura is also highly valuable for teams built around winning the opening turn, while his resurrection tools can punish opponents who fail to finish a battle quickly.
Holguk’s offensive utility comes from Hallowhex (A2), an AoE attack that can reduce the duration of enemy buffs before applying Block Buffs and an unavoidable Hex debuff. This combination is particularly potent against teams that rely on powerful buffs, while Hex makes his other abilities more dangerous. His passive reduces the Critical Rate of Hexed enemies by 20%, and whenever a Hexed enemy dies, the Turn Meters of all remaining enemies are reduced by 25%. Meanwhile, Skull Staff Pummel (A1) can apply Decrease C.RATE and, against Hexed targets, Decrease C.DMG as well. Together, these effects allow Holguk to weaken enemy damage output while disrupting their turn order.
Holguk works best alongside Champions who can capitalize on the time his revives and protection create. He is an excellent partner for fragile damage dealers, slow but powerful teams, and Champions whose value increases when they are given a second chance to take a turn. In Hydra, his AoE Hex, Block Buffs, buff-duration reduction, and Turn Meter manipulation give him a broad range of utility, while in Arena his Speed Aura and oppressive revival mechanics can support aggressive or defensive strategies alike. Holguk is not simply a Champion who brings allies back from death; he makes death part of his team’s strategy, ensuring that fallen allies return faster, better protected, and ready to continue the fight.

Holguk of the Hallowsights Champion Lore Synopsis
Holguk of the Hallowsights was born into an Orc clan of the Lost Isles whose members believed they could see into the realm of their ancestors. This gift, called Hallowsight, ran strong in the clan, and Holguk was trained to use it from a young age. He learned to contact the dead, to summon them, and to let their voices speak through him, all under the watchful eye of his mentor, Tellok. Tellok was patient, exacting, and proud of his pupil.
The day came when Tellok decided Holguk was ready to work alone. He sent his student into the spirit world without supervision, confident the lad had the discipline to handle what he found. At first the trust seemed well-placed: Holguk grew bolder every week, ranging further through the unseen world and returning with useful knowledge. Then one day he stumbled upon a domain that felt nothing like the ancestors he knew. It was steeped in grief, rage, sorrow, regret, and longing, a place of pure suffering.
Hungry to understand the source of that pain, Holguk pushed his Hallowsight deeper into the sinister grounds than he had ever dared before. The backlash was instant. A wave of agony crashed through him so violently that he lost all sense of time and self. When he stumbled back out of the spirit world, his village was unrecognisable. The lanes were filled with corpses. Some were twisted by magic. Others had been beaten into a bloody mass by something stronger than any weapon he could name.
Holguk looked down at his own hands. They were soaked in blood, and his knuckles were swollen and bruised from a frenzy of striking. He had no memory of what he had done, but the proof stood around him in the silence. He fled in terror and sought out Tellok, desperate for guidance. Tellok’s response was not comfort. The old mentor excoriated Holguk for delving too deep and for losing control of a power he had never been fit to wield alone.
Holguk, for his part, blamed Tellok. His mentor had sent him into the spirit world unprepared, knowing full well that malign influences lurked beyond the safe paths, and had allowed him to practise in the middle of friends, family, and clan. The argument became a bitter falling-out, and Holguk declared his own exile. He soon gathered a following of outcast and dissident Orcs, especially those who carried the Hallowsight or who felt wronged by Tellok. Among them, he hoped, was Kreela Witch-Arm. He had resolved to find her.
