High Khatun Review

Raid Shadow Legends – High Khatun is an Epic Support Spirit champion from the Barbarians faction where she is obtainable from Daily Login Rewards (30 Days), Ancient Shards and Sacred Shards.

High Khatun Champion Lore

The Nomads of the Krokhan Desert are infamous for their ferocity in battle, as well as their independent, if cantankerous, nature. Only rarely can they come to agreement, and disagreements are often settled by battle. There are grudges between clans that stretch back centuries. Were it not for these enmities, the clans might have forged a realm to rival that of Aravia or Kaerok.

Yet on those rare occasions when grudges are put aside in favor of unity, a warlord known as a High Khatun is chosen to lead the unified tribes to war. This individual must exemplify those traits that the Nomads hold in high esteem: ferocity in battle, courageous in the face of opposition, wisdom to know when not to attack, charisma, and of indomitable will. While many Nomad Chieftains can claim some of these traits, few have them all. It is a rare warrior who can rise to the position of High Khatun, and an even rarer one who can hold it for any length of time before they are toppled by defeat, betrayal, or simple circumstance. Over the centuries, several have joined the Arbiter and entered a Shard before such an event can occur.

The rise of a High Khatun is never predictable. Some individuals have given themselves the title when they led their people in wars of conquest upon neighboring clans of Nomads. Others were sent on quests into the deepest quarters of the desert, to return with the heads of deadly beasts as proof of their right to be named High Khatun. Still others had the title bestowed upon them by their fellow Chieftains when the tribes were faced with an existential threat.

Perasha the Falcon, the High Khatun who led the Nomads when the corrupted academy city of lreth attempted one of its periodic expansions into their territory, was one such warrior. The armies of lreth had slain hundreds of Nomads and captured more in a matter of days. A conclave of chieftains was called, for every Nomad recognized that no clan could stand against the horrific might of the dark academy city alone.

The chieftains knew that they had to choose one from among their number to act as the leader of the horde. After some debate, they chose the youngest, Perasha. No fool, Perasha knew that she had not been chosen for her reputation or charm, but because her clan was among the least influential. The other chieftains had no wish to bow to her for longer than it took to defeat lreth, and intended that she be a figurehead only. Perasha, however, was determined to show that though her people lacked the power of some of the other clans, they were no less worthy of respect

To that end, Perasha led a series of daring raids on the lrethi encampments, drawing the enemy forces into the desert where the other clans picked them apart at their convenience. So successful was Perasha’s strategy that the chieftains who had elevated her grew nervous even as they cheered her victories, fearing that she might attempt to unify the clans under her banner for good. They resolved that once the war was done, so too would the High Khatun’s life end.

To this day, the circumstances of Perasha’s death are a matter of some debate among the clans. Some claim she was slain on the eve of lreth’s defeat by a sorcerous assassin who attacked from the shadows. Others insist she was felled by an arrow in the back. Whatever the reason given, all agree that it was for the best. A High Khatun is a fine thing to have, but only when absolutely necessary.

@Belinda: Check out the Raid Shadow Legends homepage as it has some basic guide on how to progress your account quickly. The key takeaway is to build your 4 core heroes that can help you in multiple areas. Then once you get them to Level 60, slowly branch out in leveling up specialize heroes for different areas that you need help with to progress faster in that area.

  3. Belinda

First thank you for all your info on champions. I’ve been playing for a lil over a month.. this is my very first rpg game. There’s a lot to learn. Any advice for me? Some of my champions are Kael, which I have three, Artak, Cillian Jizoh. Jurojin, Tallia, Pathfinder Cait, and many others. I just got Seducer.
Also what are the different positions of the team? I thought it didn’t matter where they were placed.
    Please help @tigerlily453

  4. tanto

Hab mal ne frage bezüglich des Segens, der am besten geeignet wäre für Khatun, hab die Möglichkeit, aber keine Information darüber gefunden.
Wäre nett, wenn man mir hier helfen kann.

(Suggestion/Opinion) There would be a page to indicate the best team formations for the heroes. It would help to show what strategies can be done.

  6. maurizio

    quali sono armi nucleari

  7. JJ

I was lucky and pulled Gohak the bloodied who also slows speed. Would using High Kathun in a team with Gohak be pointless?

  8. Roger

I wonder if there is a place I could use my 6 star Deacon Armstong, and 5 star Apothecary and High Khatan with my 6 star fully booked Elhain to fly my nukes in.

  9. Acentropic

I’m wondering if her aura applies to herself as well or just her other allies?

  10. Vicki Hodges

I have resistance & deflection armor on her and her stats are much higher than with the armor suggested here – am I missing something? New to this site & so I’ve been comparing & upgrading based on what you have here, but I’ve now had 3 or 4 champions whose armor is higher with what I randomly assigned to them.

  11. Ayumilove Post author

@Ralph hey: You can obtain High Khatun by summoning her from Ancient Shards or Daily Login Rewards!

  12. Ayumilove Post author

@dasdos: Both High Khatun and Apothecary can be use in together as a double speed booster in case your attacker or crowd controller champions are too slow to catch up with the enemies in Arena due to lack of decent speed gears on them.

  13. Ayumilove Post author

@WhiskersDave: I would recommend just focusing on getting as much Speed stats on High Khatun and not to worry about the primary stats of the equipment. It’s recommended to gear her in full Speed Sets (6 Speed Artifacts) and look out for Speed substats on each equipment. For the boots, go with a Speed primary stat (there is no speed substat on a primary speed stat). The other important stats you can also get for High Khatun would be Accuracy, so she can land her Decrease Speed debuff and Decrease Turn Meter on the enemies. If you are able to achieve both of them easily, the other stats you can strive for are Health and Defense to raise her survivability in battle. Having these stats build in this sequence makes her viable outside of Arena.

  14. WhiskersDave

Ayumilove if you put defense on the gloves, would you also put defense on the chest plate too, or would you go defense on one, and he on the other? That’s something I’m always left wondering about! Also I want to say thank you, your site has helped me out so tremendously much! It’s helped my second account catch up closer to my first account!

  15. dasdos

    High Khatun for Arena.

    Apothecary for other places.

Would that be a good idea?

  16. Ralph hey

    Hi i want high katun.
    How i can get her?
    Thanks
    Dawedda lb

  17. ROXIE

love the info i have found here…really helping my game

  18. TheDrone

She’s very good. Mostly F2P here and I had gotten and will get some more mileage out of her until I get Arbiter.

She holds together my spider 20 team and Doom Tower teams.

  19. Ben Jammin

I just saw this and have really put a lot into this champ now. I used her to beat fire knight 13 (ftp) and she was very helpful in doing so.

I honestly have no idea why you went for the red damage tree with her though. Without speed / accuracy she is essentially useless.

She really isn’t a top tier damage character and better suited to middle green and blue trees.

  20. doro626

I came to see her attack multipliers. Pretty decent. Using flat stat speed pieces I have my HK speed at 269. I could get her faster, but would lose stats and I need her for dungeons and CB. For early FTP she is definitely worth it. I dont have Apothecary yet. His heal is nice, but her AOE shamantic lightning is good as well.

  21. GonzoAkuma

I believe personally believe “br fin” and to others reading this comment you could have both of the apocathcary tuned different with one being rather center on mid 2 high atk power and the other a strong def support healer. All in all it boils down to the gear you can get your hands on to achieve your dream. One last thing the great hall plays a major role in getting your much needed fluff to fill in the stats you miss.

Higher base number on stats more benefit from percentages. Gonzo out…

  22. RadSpin

I feel like the High Khatun is an amazing champion for a F2P player, with a speed buff and turn meter boost for one ability, and an aoe attack that reduces the enemy’s turn meter. I will say, though, I pulled the apothecary a few days ago and he’s been really useful, his speed boost is basically the same as the High Khatun, but the Apothecary also has an amazing heal and aoe basic attack. Now my apothecary has replaced both my turn meter hero and my healer, which lets me get more attacking heroes in my team. So, overall, the High Khatun is a good hero, but there are other heroes with just better abilities.

  23. Luis

I just built her to be my speed lead in arena, and I use Diabolist as my speed tune for dungeons as I have Diabolist fully booked and invested more time before getting Kathun.

I dont think she is worth booking, but I have her on my best speed sets and I can only get 204 speed, which seems ok for low silver arena.

I think you will have to aim for 220 or more speed for gold, and have your next champion with at least 15% less spd than her so the other team wont jump into your rotation.

F2P player, and I probably would save my books for a worthy champion than her.

  24. br fin

    Thank you for ansering.
I have both hero even i pulled a spare apothecary resently.
Should i develop 2 apothecaries differently in progress?
Are the eamples of 2 complementairy the same heros ?
    Regards
    WhatFffr

  25. Carcer

Is it worth spending epic tomes on her?

  26. Ayumilove Post author

@whatfrrrr: There are 2 champions that can help you if you do not have High Khatun.

For F2P, the next best option would be Diabolist who could be farmed from the Campaign “Brimstone Path”.
    https://ayumilove.net/raid-shadow-legends-diabolist-skill-mastery-equip-guide/

If you are lucky, you may get Apothecary from Mystery Shard, and he is an excellent alternative for High Khatun.
    https://ayumilove.net/raid-shadow-legends-apothecary-skill-mastery-equip-guide/

  27. Telenil

@Strawberry Awesome xD I had been wondering.

  28. whatfrrrr

I lost highkatun during the begin of my raid sl by mistake.:(
Any shance to get her back again in campain farming f.i. ??

Or what is the best f2p champ
alternative for hk in arena campain?

  29. Jareel

Why bother with the offense tree for her? She’s not doing much damage no matter how you spec her. Her primary role is in the speed aura, speed buff and speed decrease.

Her A1 does OKish damage, but the primary utility is in the slow, and it’s still a low attack comparing to many other A1s. Her A2 is a buff. And A3 is an AOE with the worst damage I have seen among my champions.

Today I chose to re-spec her purely for speed, accuracy and survivability. So in terms of Masteries – Defence and Support.

@Trick menthe – 2 of her skills are single-strike only, and the third one doesn’t strike at all. Clocking those strikes is ESSENTIAL to get the shield down and damage up. There are better speed-buffers for Fire Knight than the High Khatun. Not to mention that you can win top-level FK without speed buffer at all.

  30. Trick menthe

I don’t understand why HK has such a poor rating for Fire Knight’s Castle (I just hit 30 days today). All the skills affect SPD or turn meters; with the aura and A2 that’s + 49% speed for 2 turns – that would seem hugely helpful.

  31. Strawberry369

Sorry I made an error and forgot to apply the speed buff to a portion of the equation I used. So the actual best speed is 649.19608.

  32. Strawberry369

High khatun´s skills got me thinking and made me think how fast can a champion go? so I figured it out and the fastest a champion can go is the equivalent to 638.90008 speed. The only way to obtain this unholy speed stat is to get a champion with a base speed stat of 104 speed, equip 3 speed sets, have max level six star boots with a speed main stat equipped, have the maximized speed substat on all gear with each of the random substat boosts land on the speed substat, fully glyph all 7 speed substats, have the arbiter riding point in the ARENA with her speed aura active, use masteries lore of steel, spirit haste, oppressor, and whirlwind of death all activated fully, and have a 30% speed boost buff applied.

  33. RaidSunken

    @Chris

Yes, it is worth leveling her up unless you have a better speed aura for the arena. She has a speed aura and a speed boast. So if there’s a team that barely out speeds you with just Apoth you can sub in High Khatan as the lead. I regularly run HK lead and Apoth with 2 nukers to beat the weak speed teams.

I think in early game you can keep her at level 40 or 50. Just give her all speed. When you get higher up you will want to level to 60 if you don’t have a better speed champ as her speed stats increase when she is 6 star.

  34. Chris

Does it make sense to level her up for people that already has Apothecary @50?

  35. KZamo

I noticed you switched her from defense to offense masteries. I understand suggesting the offense mastery tree as a technicality (because technically, her attacks are based on ATK), but is that really recommended over defense, considering she’ll never hit hard enough to really make a difference? I’d think that her primary function would be to speed boost, and to stay alive long enough to keep doing so. Is that no longer correct?

  36. Antemurale

    6-star ascension

  37. Matu

When does her speed Get to 104? She starts at 97.

  38. Aquadorian

@Zargblatt: all attempted debuffs on all enemy champions need ACC because your dice roll has to get past the enemy RES. That applies everywhere, except in rare cases where the text says “this cannot be resisted”.

  39. Zargblatt

Does her A1 or A3 rely on ACC?
Would be nice if we could tagg the skills with instant or ACC, jm2c.
    Thanks for nice page!

  40. Ayumilove Post author

@Maluco: Both of them would be excellent to ascend them to Level 60 (6 stars). I used both Gorgorab and Apothecary to carry me in Dungeon 20. If you are specializing in Arena Nuking, High Khatun paired with Gorgorab will be a good combo (double Turn Meter Boost) before sending in the Decrease Defense debuffer (Warmaiden) and AoE Nuker (e.g. Kael). Once you get Arbiter, she replaces Gorgorab position. Apothecary is a unique champion that you can use in all end-game dungeons and in all Clan Boss modes. For Nightmare Campaign (3 Star), I just use 1 Nuker and 1 Tanker (e.g. Vergis and Kael). For my High Khatun, I just use her for early Faction Wars but her position is replaced by mostly tankers (e.g. Scyl of the Drakes). Since you are still quite far from completing all the Progress Mission, I would go with Apothecary followed by Gorgorab. High Khatun can be used without books if you are planning to just use her in Arena.

  41. Maluco

Hi, first, thank you for your efforts and in-depth information.

Been playing for less than a month, and now I need to make a commitment:

Team currently is fully ranked 60 Kael, 60 Hordrin, 50 Gorgorab and 50 Apothecary. I have 5 5-rank units, to rank Gorbo or Apothecary to 6, but I am getting Khatun tomorrow as a daily reward, and so I am hesitant.

Gorbo is current team leader in Arena, with Speed aura. You wrote, that you suggest using Apothecary as AoE healer, if team has a better Speed buffer, so should I just not level Khatun? What would be consequences later on in the game? I have fully cleared 3 difficulties of Capmaign and now stuck on Nightmare.

  42. Frogderer

I would like to ask how the turn meter is calculated.
For example, I put Scullcrown with speed aura to my Arena team and a Doomsqueak with maxed as a turn meter booster. When round starts, it is obvious that my Scullcrown has more than 70% of a turn meter. My Doomsqueak starts with a boost, but somehow some enemies start before the Scullcrown (even when they had not a full turn meter at the beginning). I believe it migth be connected with a speed and a speed boost, but I don’t know how.

  43. Emmanuel Pun

@Drew To me, epic tomes are pretty valuable and you really have to consider the long term investment because it’s hard to get them and once you use them, you lose them. High Khatun doesn’t really benefit from booking up for Arena since she’s mainly there for speed aura and you use her speed boost right off the bat. That being said, she takes relatively few books to get her Rally the Horde cooldown-1 and that is all you need from her. Relickeeper and Lightsworn fall off or get replaced, so might want to consider whether it’s worth the investment. Golden Reaper and Zargala are both late game viable. Golden Reaper can likely benefit from just 6 books, while Zargala is a beast but will need many more books to start getting the benefits (debuff% and cooldowns). I finally booked up Zargala and it’s totally worth it.

  44. Drew

I forgot to add Zargala to my previous comment.

  45. Drew

I have 6 Epic tomes and want to know who I should use them on between High Khatun, Relickeeper, Lightsworn and Golden Reaper? I am looking for best results in the arena. After looking at your F2P arena list I was thinking High Khatun, but all of the others have higher arena stars.

  46. RaidWarrior

She is underrated in Arena. She should be 5 star due to her AOE Turn meter manipulation and helpful Turn Meter Manipulation

  47. Ayumilove Post author

@Tollen: High Khatun is obtainable from Ancient Shards and daily login too. I suggest you to keep her as she is useful as a Speed Buffer Champion in Faction Wars.

  48. Tollen

Is High Khatun only available by daily login or can you also get her from shards?

  49. Ayumilove Post author

@Jayjay: It’s recommended to get Tier 6 Offense Masteries as it allows High Khatun to deal more damage against high HP enemies especially bosses. The equipment allows her to survive long to provide support to her allies in battle.

  50. Jayjay

I’m curious as to why her suggested stats are hp, defense, speed and accuracy but she is being masteres for offense and not defense? I’m only 30 days in so I’m just trying to understand! Thank you for any insight you can provide.

  51. Martin

Im currently using Apthecary as my speed buffer and seducer to prevent debuffs. and using Kallia and Galek as the damage dealer since im still kinda new.

  52. Martin

Hi, just a question. is High Khatun and Infernal Baroness good together?

  53. Ayumilove Post author

@Felipe: I would go with High Khatun if the enemy is able to start their turn first if you are using Spirithost.

  54. Felipe

    Hey guys!

Great stuff on this website! I’m a new player, roughly 1 month in.
Would you recommend High K or Spirithost for arena, as the SPD/Buffer?

    Really torn between both atm

Thx again for the great content!

  55. Ayumilove Post author

@Olly: I would go with both since they are essential speed buffers for both Factions if you are planning to do Faction Wars. I would prioritize High Khatun since she can help boost your Arena win rate with her Lead Speed Aura along with Increase Speed and Increase Turn Meter.

  56. Olly

Fully booked High Khatun or Diabolist?

  57. Zackery Brinkley

Would you recommend Stag Knight or High Katun?

  58. Papi

If this champion is support, when put so much into the offence masteries?

  59. Ka.k

    Overrated hero, 3 star MOST

  60. Black Knight F2P

High Khatun is best champion that you will get for free, she is trustworthy companion who will accompany you through all dungeons,Arena,CB, etc… Especially if you play for free… Great Champion !!!

  61. Ayumilove Post author

@Natboy: You can use both High Khatun and Apothecary for double speed Arena team, with High Khatun as the lead for the Speed Aura. Use Apothecary if you have better Speed Aura Lead. Use High Khatun if you have a better AoE healer in your team such as Bad-el-Kazar.

  62. Ayumilove Post author

@Invinsibles: Thanks for your feedback! I have updated High Khatun stat priorities to be Defense and HP stat based.

  63. Invinsibles

I think the stat priorities for High Khatun are not correct. Whether you want to use her for clan boss, dungeons or the arena, her job is to support the team stay alive and be fast. More important than ATK/Crit%/CritDMG would thus be HP%, DEF%. Speed of course number 1 priority. Accuracy helps with both A1 and A3 debuff landing, of course, so not to be completely neglected either 🙂

  64. Exeonx

I don’t understand why Shield set with Attack % as main stat, isn’t shield based on the Champions Max HP?

  65. TwoZeroFoxtrot

@Natboy: Apothecary covers a lot of ground with his multihit A1 (huge against Fire Knight) and strong single target heal. High Khatun is all turn meter manipulation. So it really depends on what you are trying to do… but generally I would say Apothecary.

But if you have a dire need to speed up while slowing the enemy down, High Khatun might be better.

  66. Natboy

    Apothecary or High Khatun?

  67. Arkkinite

@Michael Shield set is a (4) four piece set, and therefore you cannot have 2 shield sets on a character. The shield set is the one that give all members of the team a shield based off of the wearer’s max. HP.

  68. Michael

Do you mean 2 shield sets and 1 speed set? It says only 1 shield, but you need 2 right?

  69. Gharnek

It is good idea to get her into 6 stars if i dont have any other aura speed champions or I need to wait for better champ, what u think

  70. Ayumilove Post author

@Doxster: Thanks for pointing out the missing basic mastery! I have re-updated High Khatun mastery above.

  71. Doxster

I think one of the basic masteries is missing?

  72. Ayumilove Post author

@fnōrd: If you select “English” in “RAID: Shadow Legends” language, you can see that the name for this champion is “High Khatun”. See the screenshot above taken in-game. The spelling is correct for English language.

  73. fnōrd

Slight misspelling here, should be High Katun, not Khatun. This is resulting in search misses for this champ.

  74. Julio

thank you sir for all you effort
