Hegemon Storyline

There are countless tales of valour and skill that the Champions of Lumaya have displayed over the millennia. Brave knights, whose skill with the sword is unmatched, wise mages, by whose word alone mountains crumble, daring rogues, and stalwart soldiers. Yet those who follow the dark path should not be underestimated either. The Hegemon is a commanding presence on any battlefield, his mastery of the blade only matched by his ability to direct his minions’ attacks. He is said to have been a noble Champion of his people once and the bane of evildoers. He had defeated many foes in that past life, brought victory to many a-battle. But such skill comes with pride more often than not, and with pride – the seed of arrogance that brought so many heroes low. Assured of his superiority and wisdom, the Champion had renounced his liege, casting aside his vows and loyalties. Henceforth, he was known as the Hegemon, the one deserving ruler whose right was won by blood and by sword. Many of the soldiers under his command, swayed by the Hegemon’s charisma, joined in his rebellion and marched upon the lands of his rivals. It took many months of bloody warfare and the joint efforts of Kaerok and Aravian border Lords, as well as a Mission of the Sacred Order to finally stop the Hegemon’s campaign and defeat his army. Though the rebellious Champion himself fled after single-handedly slaying the men-at-arms sent after him. His fall now complete, he swore bloody vengeance upon the people of Teleria and consigned his soul to Siroth and his mortal minions. One day, when his rivals among the renegade Knight Revenant are defeated, the Hegemon will gather a new army and march upon Kaerok. Their Champions shall fall to his blade, their people shall bow or face the consequences of denying his ambition.

Hegemon is better at Spider than you give him credit for. Decrease Attack (AoE) at the beginning of the battle is important. I also run him in a stun set. He isr great for control and always goes first. He should be at least 4 stars in my opinion using him as your control champ. Dont use him as a nuker(Or maybe that can work too if you have another good controller.. I have not tried him in a nuke build)

@John Inkpen: 2 Accuracy, 1 Offense Set (I have corrected it to 2 Accuracy Set, 1 Offense Set.)
    Those are options:
Option 1: 1 Taunt Set (4 piece of equipment) + 1 Accuracy Set (2 piece of equipment)
Option 2: 1 Stun Set (4 piece of equipment) + 1 Accuracy Set (2 piece of equipment)
Option 3: 1 Savage Set (4 piece of equipment) + 1 Speed Set (2 piece of equipment)
    and so forth..

The regular Accessories from Spider’s Den does not make a set, except for the one bought from the Bazaar.

Just found this site after playing RAID for 162 days. Looks great!! Have a question on the Equipment Guide Section – Equipment Set portion. Using Hegemon as an example the left side block. Not sure how to interpret this block. It shows:
2 Accuracy, 1 Off Set (assume Accuracy should read Accuracy Set??)
1 Taunt Set, 1 Accuracy Set
1 Stun Set, 1 Accuracy Set
1 Savage Set, 1 Speed Set
Savage, Taunting and Stun require 4 equip each to complete and the rest need 2.
I don’t think the Ring, Amulet,Banner will group to make a “set”.
    Thanks

@WileyMan: It’s quite simple to deal with Hegemon although you will need the right champions for it to handle. Get a champion equipped with Immunity Set to ignore their debuff (Skill Lock or Stun Set) or get a Debuff Cleanser Champion. You will need at least a champion with high HP and equipped with Shield Set to tank the first wave of attack in case the Hegemon is built for damage. Plarium introduced Hegemon to give a different build instead of building around the Speed Meta.

With his passive, it appears that it is impossible to beat him at the “speed game”, and that even if you have a faster champ, Hegemon will still go first in Arena battles. Is that corretc?

  6. Gil-more

Hello, just few remarks, looking at the grades you gave Hege… he seems an average LEGO where indeed he is one of the top 5 in the game!
And even if he is obviously an Arena animal (where he should have 6*…) he is a very good overall hero (other than CB actually).
I am telling this because I luckily have it and I use it everywhere (other than CB…).
I also own Kael and Zargala maxed out (including all tomes) but even if Hege is optimized for Arena (and 0 tomes) he overperform both Kael (optimized for Dungeons/Campaign) and Zargala in all fields, for example Hegemon record for brutal campaign 12-3/6 is 9″ while with Kael or Zargala I am well above 20″.
I also disagree with few choices for the attack mastery line… I think that Circle of Violence & Blood Shield are a Must, then for the last one… 50-50% Helm Smasher or Flawless Execution. I chose Helm Smasher because I already have more than 200% Crit. Dmg.

    @CocaCola: I have fixed Hegemon’s stats. Thanks!

  8. CocaCola

    His stats are wrong.

  9. Robin

He always goes first, so maybe 3 times crit damage? To kill as much as possible! Or?

  10. Corrupdid

No recommendation of stun/provoke and cruel as another option for arena mostly ? Also il have to try the 3 speed set now that immunity artifacts are a thing in the arena

  11. Yalthar

I don’t know how the passive works, but if he goes first before any turn meters start spinning then he might be able to attack twice before anyone else if he wins the speed battle too.

  12. Pinky

Hello, Why recommended the Equipment Set for Arena, Campaign, Faction Wars is 3 speed sers in first ?

  13. Xartheros

Any reason why the recommended gear set for arena is 3 speed sets? Would have thought cruel to be better.

@Roy Cooper: Sorry! It’s a mistake. I have corrected the value for Chestplate from “Critical Damage” to “Attack%”.

  15. Roy Cooper

Since when can you get crit damage as a main stat on chest plate and where do I find them?
