Gnarox Blackhorn Overview

Gnarox Blackhorn, once a brash and arrogant farmhand whose violent tendencies earned him both infamy and rejection, found his true calling in the gladiator city of Velyzar. After being abandoned by his family following his transformation into a Skinwalker, he embraced a life of conflict, mastering the art of psychological warfare and raw brutality. Now a master of control and protection, Gnarox thrives in battle by luring enemies to attack him before turning their strength against them with devastating Reflect Damage and crowd-control mechanics. As an Epic rarity champion and the only AOE Provoker in the Skinwalkers faction, Gnarox excels in scenarios requiring precise teamwork and tactical finesse, making him indispensable in Faction Wars and beyond. With the release of Patch 10.50 and the ongoing Chaos Awakes event, players can now summon champions like Gnarox Blackhorn by fusing four Rare Glensage Cithrel champions. These Rare champions are obtainable through tournaments and events tied to the Thoulin Foulbeard Champion Fusion Event. Should you acquire an extra copy of Gnarox Blackhorn beyond the four required Epics, you can fuse those Epics to summon Tholin Foulbeard, further bolstering your roster with another formidable champion. This guide delves into Gnarox’s mechanics, exploring how his abilities synergize with team compositions and elevate performance across various game modes in Raid Shadow Legends.

Gnarox’s dominance becomes evident when examining his role in Faction Wars, where his skills align perfectly with the demands of Hard stages. His Bullish Fighter ability not only places a guaranteed Provoke debuff on enemies if his Defense stat is lower than theirs but also grants the entire team a 30% Reflect Damage buff. This dual functionality makes him a linchpin in stages like Faction Wars Stage 13, where players must defeat enemies using Counterattack or Ally Attack mechanics. By leveraging his Reflect Damage alongside self-counterattacks, Gnarox ensures that enemies attacking under these conditions are swiftly neutralized. Additionally, his Means To An End skill provides a 50% Ally Protection buff, further solidifying his role as a defensive anchor. This protective effect not only absorbs incoming damage but also triggers his passive, Loathed Pariah, which has a chance to apply Provoke debuffs on enemies targeting protected allies. Such mechanics make him exceptionally effective against bosses like the Iron Twins, where his ability to decrease enemy speed through Knee-Smasher can turn the tide of battle.

Beyond Faction Wars, Gnarox’s utility extends to challenging PvE encounters, such as the Kuldrath the Magma Dragon boss raid, where his protective and control abilities shine. The synergy between his Ally Protection buff and Reflect Damage mechanic ensures that teams can withstand punishing waves of attacks while maintaining consistent pressure on enemies. His Aura, which grants a 30% Defense boost to allies during Faction Wars, further amplifies his value by enhancing overall team durability. When paired with champions who benefit from debuffed enemies or rely on sustained damage, Gnarox’s kit creates a feedback loop of control and resilience. His design mirrors that of higher-rarity champions like Sniktraak, offering similar utility at a more accessible rarity level. Whether shielding teammates, controlling enemy movements, or reflecting damage back at foes, Gnarox Blackhorn embodies versatility and strategic depth, making him a cornerstone of any well-rounded roster.

Gnarox Blackhorn Champion Lore Synopsis

Gnarox Blackhorn has always used his aggression and arrogance to get ahead. Even as a child on his family’s farm, he was a bully who thrived on conflict. A turning point came during his teenage years when he was nearly gored while trying to castrate a wild bull. With only a small blade, he barely escaped and managed to kill the animal. That act triggered his transformation into a Skinwalker, a moment that changed his life forever. Rejected by his family after the shift, he set out into the world alone.

He bounced from one violent job to another, working as a mercenary, bodyguard, bandit, and pirate. Each role ended the same way: with Gnarox being thrown out because of his loudmouth bravado, constant taunts, and complete disregard for authority. Though he was a strong fighter, his behaviour made it impossible to keep allies. Eventually, his pirate crew left him behind in the gladiator city of Velyzar, a place known for its wealth, vice, and endless bloodsport. There, Gnarox found his true calling.

At a gladiator trial, he brutally defeated his opponent using only his fists. The recruiters were impressed not only by his strength but also by his brash and arrogant style, perfect for the dramatic showmanship of the arena. Gnarox quickly became infamous, a villain the crowds loved to hate. He used every trick in the book to win, from fake surrenders to throwing dirt in his opponent’s eyes. The audience booed and heckled, but they kept coming back, eager to see him fall or, secretly, to watch him win again.

His fame grew when he narrowly defeated Samson the Masher, a fellow Skinwalker known for his heroic image. The upset thrilled the crowds and sparked a bitter rivalry. Unlike the staged feuds common in the arena, Samson’s hatred for Gnarox was real. Their ongoing battles, each trading wins, captivated the public and cemented Gnarox’s place as a star of Velyzar’s blood-soaked spectacle.

Now, Gnarox has caught the eye of Diamant Coppercoin, the wealthiest man in the city and a powerful figure in the gladiator world. Behind the mockery and spectacle, Gnarox is undeniably talented. He plays with his opponents’ minds, using insults and taunts to throw them off balance before delivering the final blow. Though his tactics are dirty and his personality abrasive, there is no denying his skill in the arena. Gnarox Blackhorn is a fighter who turns every jeer into fuel and every fight into a performance.
