Gladewulf Overview

Gladewulf, the spectral warden of the Mistwood, is a rare champion who combines enemy control with team protection, making him a versatile pick for many areas of Raid Shadow Legends. His design reflects the duality of predator and protector, prowling with his phantom companion while shielding allies with his ancient spirit. He also plays a pivotal role in the ongoing Granyt Doorkeep Champion Fusion Event, where players must fuse four copies of Gladewulf to obtain Hilda Arnorndottr, and then fuse four Hildas to summon Granyt himself. This makes Gladewulf both a valuable rare for gameplay and an essential stepping stone in one of the most important fusion paths of the year.

His control shines through Ghostly Roots (A2), a DEF-based AoE that carries up to a 75% chance to place Provoke on all enemies. This makes him particularly effective in high-pressure encounters like Doom Tower waves or the Cursed City, where shutting down enemy skills can swing the fight in your favor. His Phantom Pack (A1) also provides consistent utility, hitting three times with each strike carrying up to a 45% chance to land Decrease Speed. This proves especially useful against bosses like the Fire Knight, where multi-hits break down the shield quickly, or against the Iron Twins, where slowing their turn cycle is critical.

On the defensive side, Arooo! (A3) is where Gladewulf truly shines as a protector. By placing Ally Protection on the entire team and granting himself Counterattack, he absorbs incoming damage while retaliating with his A1 to spread Decrease Speed. This self-sustaining loop keeps him relevant in prolonged fights, allowing him to protect fragile allies while disrupting enemies. His passive, Safety in Numbers, enhances this role by reducing incoming damage by up to 20% when his team is shielded by his protection, ensuring he remains a durable anchor even in content where survivability is key.

Overall, Gladewulf stands out as one of the stronger rares introduced in recent updates, offering a mix of control, debuffs, and protection that scales well across different stages of the game. While he won’t replace legendary champions in highly specialized roles, his versatility makes him a reliable workhorse in Doom Tower, Faction Wars, and various dungeons. Combined with his importance in the Granyt Doorkeep Fusion, players should strongly consider investing in him, both as a dependable rare for their roster and as a vital step toward unlocking one of RAID’s most powerful fusion rewards.

    @ayumilove,
    Flawless defense is not a good recommendation because he doesn’t place increased defense. Thanks for all you do for us 🙏💞

  3. King Qtip

    Why is Faultless Defense recommended blessing as he doesn’t place Increase Defense buff on allies?
