This guy had been sitting idly in my vaults forever, perhaps waiting for a use for him aside from playing chicken for another champion. I even got a soul for him I didn’t use or sell, also in the hopes Fortress Goon would be useful one day. Perhaps…
Interestingly, with the Cursed City awakening requirements for some battles, I levelled him up, ascended, and awakened him to fulfill this awakening “star filler” role. This Goon may yet prove himself reasonably useful.
A rank 5 chicken that might help you get a 3rd star in stage 6 of FW at 40. Or just feed him to another champ as soon as you get him.

I wouldn’t waste a dime on him since you can get heal reduction from uncommon like Saurus (who btw is much, much better in every way and so much cheaper to build being uncommon). This guy is simply saying free chicken (or not exactly free cause you gotta spend shard to get him, well you get the point).
Just got a perfect soul for this fool. Now I have to level him to 60… Such a waste of a soul.
He is good enough when you need to pull him off the bench to sub until you can get a better player to laydown a heal reduction. Great when you are starting out and are in a bind and since landing that A2 is his only purpose, I’m going with a straight ACC build. The other Champs can corpse drag him to the boss.

Apparently the answer is no one is willing to invest enough in him to work that out. Looks like food to me.
For me, to around level 40 he works very well in low to early mid-tier Faction Wars, as there are few good healers that I have managed to pull and the Increase Defense (while only 30%) has on more than one occasion meant the difference between a one star or three star stage in conjunction with the A3 Heal. Being on a minimum 4 turn cooldown, does mean that just about any other healer for Ogryns is better if that is all he is being used for though.
Works for Low lvl grinding IF you pull him Early ,, Wouldnt invest to greatly in him though ,, did the First 2 rows of Masteries and threw some Life Steal and Def armor on him and working him as the tank , BUT then again I dont have any 60s yet and NO Legos eirther ,, He fills the gap in tag Arena for NOW But JIZOH is Better and I wont invest much into that either ,,
BUT as early Pulls , Jizoh Free and Fortress goon as one of my First rare pulls
they both work for now AT A LOWER LVL
@John: Fortress Goon is not so useful in many areas. Hence, it’s safe to be used as fodder (3 star chicken).
Is this too new or is it food? Looking at the low initial hp’s, I’ll guess it’s rank up food
@Dc: Based from his skill kit, he does not work for Spider run. Could you please enlighten me why Fortress Goon would work for Spider run?

It’s because neither his A2 or A3 book down enough to be of any real use in any situation. The heal reduction is a crappy 50% reduction on a 50% chance. The healing is 10% which likely won’t acutally do anything to sustain your party even in Faction Wars, especially not at a 4 turn cooldown. Neither of these abilities even ascend!
Seems to be that he’s mostly another troll champ so you can think for the briefest of moments that Skullcrusher is running out to greet you in the portal when it’s just another one of his bastard recolors.
Just got this crappy champion today, quite disappointed at his extremely low ratings.
