Flesh-Tearer Overview

Flesh-Tearer is an Epic Magic affinity champion belonging to the Skinwalkers faction in Raid Shadow Legends, is renowned for his prowess in strategic confrontations. He became a formidable force in specific areas like the Clan Boss and Ice Golem. His unique skill set, particularly adept at manipulating the duration of debuffs, made him a valuable asset in overcoming the challenging mobs of waves in the Ice Golem dungeon and maintaining buffs during the Clan boss encounters.

Flesh-Tearer’s standout prowess lies in his remarkable ability to masterfully extend ongoing debuffs and curtail the duration of enemy buffs, showcased in his powerful Lay Low (A3 ability). This skill mirrors the artistry of a chef expertly balancing flavors – a touch more here, a tad less there, resulting in the perfect culinary masterpiece. Such skillfulness elevates him to a strategist par excellence in combat, constantly catching adversaries off guard with his unexpected maneuvers. To unlock the full spectrum of his abilities, particularly minimizing the cooldown of his third ability to a mere four turns, investing in Epic skill tomes is crucial. Imagine fine-tuning a state-of-the-art racing car – every tweak is pivotal.

His primary attack, Multiply Misery (A1 ability), exhibits another facet of his versatility, allowing him to transfer debuffs from himself onto his foes. Furthermore, Flesh-Tearer isn’t just about offense; he plays a vital role in the welfare of his allies by utilizing his Warleader (A2 ability), adept at healing them and extending the duration of their buffs. This combination of offensive and supportive capabilities makes Flesh-Tearer an invaluable asset in any team, a true game-changer on the battlefield.

In essence, Flesh-Tearer wasn’t just a champion; he was a maestro of the battlefield, orchestrating debuffs like a conductor with a symphony. His role in any team venturing into the depths of the Ice Golem’s lair or facing the wrath of the Clan boss was akin to that of a secret weapon, always ready to turn the tides of battle. Remember, in the world of epic battles, having Flesh-Tearer on your side was like having a cheat code – powerful, unexpected, and always a game-changer!

Flesh-Tearer Storyline

It is a common assumption among Skinwalkers that the bigger one’s horns or antlers, the stronger one is. That is, of course, a vestige of their bestial nature, one that is often proven to be untrue. The Flesh-Tearer is a very good example of this. Despite his fear-inspiring name, he is no fearsome warrior but a wise healer who can keep others alive. The secrets of handling herbs were passed to Flesh-Tearer from his father, just like they were from his father’s father before that.

    More food!

  2. PouringRayn

@MrCupHolder Those debuffs are excluded from that skill altogether.

    https://ayumilove.net/raid-shadow-legends-increase-debuff-duration-skill-champions/

RAID: Shadow Legends – Increase Debuff Duration Skill allows a Champion to increase 1 or more debuffs duration on their enemy Champions. This allows the debuff to provide their disadvantages to the enemy Champion longer to decrease their survivability and efficiency in battle. Stun, Sleep, Freeze, Provoke are not affected by Increase Debuff Duration effects.

  3. MrCupHolder

Does his A3 not extend Freeze Debuffs?
I’m in Spider with Mordecai HP Burn 1st
Achack with Freeze (and some leech from mastery) 2nd
Flesh-Tearer 3rd with debuff extend and the Leeches and HP Burns extend but not the Freezes.
I’m now feeling robbed of having built him.
At least I’ve only take him to 50 to test with.

  4. How heal bonus works

Sorry I meant @Sorahn. Rapunzel has it right except for Curing is 20% not 10%. Unless that’s an old figure.

  5. How heal bonus works

@Rapunzel – that’s not how heal bonus works.

    The 30% modified by books (+5% * 4) is:

5% of 30% = 1.5% heal boost per book level

Total books * 1.5% = total heal boost

    4 books * 1.5% = 6%

    30% + 6% = 36%

Same thing with the Curing set.

    20% bonus to the 30%. So 20% of 30% = 6%

    30% + 6%(full books) + 6% (curing) = 42% heal

I’m 99% sure that’s how it works. That 1% doubt comes from the possibility that the Curing bonus would be modifying 36% instead of 30%. In which case the total would become 43.2%.

  6. Rapunzel

    @ Sorahn
Healing bonus ist multiplicative, not additive.
    So 10% Curing + 20% from books iamounts to 30% Healing x 1.3 = 39%.

  7. Sorahn

I’m using him in FW exclusively. I have him in curing/speed sets. When fully booked he should have a 60% AOE heal, no? That, plus buff management, makes him pretty good – at least for FW.

  8. vino

Yes his attack is so horribly low. If the A1 is not even scratching anyone at least make the default debuff swap change higher. Even the AOE dmg is just bad compare to everyone else. I kinda kept him in FW as the mass healer and deal with enemy buff. If I have a better nuker I would just replace him but seriously Skinwalker selection is horrible so far .. or my luck is real bad.

  9. Balthou

I ascend this guy to lvl 60, give him good gear (speed attack cruel), build his masteries as above.
I just have not book him and I won’t
I use him in Faction Wars.
The damage output is so low on A1… and at best average on A3.

So, the buff/debuff management and heal is ok. Not crazy, but ok.

Try to ascend attack, crit% and dmg is a waste of time for FW, I think a build with speed, def, Hp and acc, support and defense tree for masteries is best.

Hmm, Septimus vs Flesh-Tearer for clan boss. The difference is Septimus’s rebuff extend has a 30% chance of proc every *attack* (not turn), while flesh-tearer is guaranteed, but every 4 turns at best. Which is better?

Septimus will average 0.3×4 = 1.2 times every 4 turns, which is somewhat better. But wait, if you add Retribution to Septimus, he will get on the average 1.3 extra attack vs CB during 4 turns. So 0.3×5.3= Septimus will on the average proc 1.6 times every 4 turns vs once for flesh-tearer.

But wait, there’s more. Not sure if a bug or not, but Septimus also gets a chance to debuff extend when GS/WM procs following when the original debuff extend procs (but the original has to land). So the final probability is even higher.

    Net net, Septimus wins.

  11. Mirex

I just took septimus out and him in. Looks promising.

And master hexer will not work as it also doesn’t work for Septimus

  12. Aeolwind

    @dependentetóxico

His debuff and buff extension. There are a few other guides on Flesh-Tearer on YouTube that show the damage potential that it brings to the table. He also has a nice group heal that can extend counter-attack. And he can also transfer a poison buff laid by the clan boss back onto him. And he hits pretty dang hard as well. I’m not sure he is ultra-nightmare good, but at least through brutal in heavy speed comps he can shine. He isn’t Vizier either, but useful if you don’t have anything else.

  13. dependentetóxico

why is he rated 5 stars for the clan boss? is this an exaggeration?

  14. Brandt Wessels

I think master Hexer makes the debuff extender extend to +2 turns instead of the usual +1 turn.
