Lazerath—My Duedan has 75K HP and 565 RES (2 sets Righteous, 1 set Resistance). Because he self-buffs, he usually has the most buffs on the team. As a result, the Head of Mischief targets him. Because of his high RES the HOM fails to steal the buffs, but Duedan counterattacks if his counterattack buff is up. Every time he counterattacks, he has a 60% chance of cleansing debuffs from his teammates. A lot of Hydra attacks are AOE, so the counterattack/cleanse occurs quite often. He’d be great in a Cursed set if you can hit the RES numbers for the Hydra level you are using him on.
How is he as a buff/resist tank for Hydra? Any suggestions on build for specifically hydra buff tank? Was wondering if should put in hex/curse armor.
I would argue that Duedan is at least a 4 star for Hydra. He is a natural high RES choice given his self buffs, and every time he uses his A1 (which is frequently given his counterattack buff) he has a 60% chance (fully booked) to remove a debuff from each of his teammates. His buff extension and shield are also quite useful, and since Taunt doesn’t require ACC, he can be a real HP/RES tank.
I like him. I too put him in guardian gear. I’ve put him in a counterattack team with martyr, Knut, that epic I can never remember the name of. Battles take a while as they constantly counterattack but it’s fun to watch.
He is the first champ I have with taunt. Haven’t tested it everywhere yet but so far so good.
Him, martyr and michinaki can clear floors pretty quick for defence champs, still no match for my attackers though.
Most definitely worth doing up, if only for faction wars.
My Sylvan Watchers FW team was stumped by the 2nd boss. I swapped this guy in, made him team leader, and immediately 3-starred my way through the next three levels. He was only a level 50 wearing plus-12 gear. I have him in Bolster and Resilience. I’m keeping him.
Does he need ACC for his A1 to remove debuffs?
First comment. I’m just building him now, but I think he will make a nice addition to my Sylvan Watchers Faction. He hits harder than I expected and has needed abilities to keep his allies alive. I built him in guardian gear.
