@Jim: I have corrected the mastery title from Channeler to Chopper. Thanks!

@Herc $mash on a 6 turn CD it is not worth investing 5 books just get him down to 4. But if you have the books to waste, have at it… Especially if playing him brings you joy.

Is Chopper worth it simply for Faction Wars to remove 2 buffs from the FW Boss? I have
    Zargala & 4 Ironclads (red)
    two of Dhukk (blue),
    Sandlashed (green)

Dargentina has the gist of it. My baby account: early game Faction Wars, no Orcs worth mentioning except starter Galek; Chopper has 2x ATK (Divine & Cruel) / Perc gear, HP / SPD / RES stats, T2 masteries, good enough for 1st boss. He’s doing the job for which there’s nobody else, and we barely beat that boss, but he was worth building to 4*40. I don’t use him anywhere else. In early game I tend to keep several of these mediocre champs most people feed for FW, which I run as soon as I can as far as I can because those mats and glyphs make all the difference at the start. Once your campaign farmer is at 6*60 they mostly build themselves during the many champion training occasions, and when you have better champs to replace them, these temporary champs serve as 5* food, so it’s not a waste to have built them.

Chopper Mastery Chart is LABELED AS “Channeler Mastery Chart”

6.8ATK and 8.1ATK is kinda ridiculous multiplier though, what the heck. Imma try investing in this guy, worst case use him for Faction War

The only reason to keep this guy, it’s for his A3 on Faction Wars, and only if you don’t have another buff-eater (and I don’t remember Orcs having many of those).

His A1 spikes off speed, interesting.
But he tends to use A2 as often as possible, a skill that hardly benefits from speed:
If Chopper goes first, his opponents usually will have more HP, so the skill doesn’t triggers (since he’s focused more on attack).
If he goes after an ally’s attack, the opponent will have less HP, but stunning would be kinda pointless on a heavily hurt/ about to die opponent, so the skill is moot.
And, worst of all, he’s got long cooldowns (unless fully booked… not really worth)

I guess Ayumi’s idea of him being an HP hero makes sense, though HP heros do pathetic damage, so again he would be screwed.

Basically, the only way I see him work is by buffing up him to hell and back, so he’s stronger and thougher than his enemies… but the same can be done of any other actually good hero.

On the other hand, at basic 3 stars, he seems to do some decent decent damage (as a fill-in char), and has slightly above-average HP (I guess to make A2 work) and his A3 can get you out of a thight spot on certain battles (Faction Wars mostly).
So, maybe the trick is to stack him with attack items, with HP/SP stats (and later replace him for someone better)

    Basically:
Fodder, but it has some uses for those with awful luck (like me) for a lack of better heros.

@AliasOfMine: I have not tested how much Chopper damage scales with Speed. Basically is a fodder champion for me. His skills does bring much benefits for early-mid-end game. If Plarium Developers switch his role from Attack-type champion to a HP-type champion where his skills are based on HP, then his A2 may bring some benefits in stunning enemies. Otherwise, change the condition logic that it does not depend on target’s HP but a more common denomiator such as Turn Meter. Stun enemies for 1 turn if their Turn Meter is above 50% or inflict 30% Slow Speed for 2 turns if its below 50%.

  9. AliasOfMine

Any paticular reason some charecters do not have “early-mid-late” on them? or a an overall rating as fodder vs usable?

how does his a1 scale with speed, and is it noticable x.x

@Joe: Thanks for pointing out the missing rating on Chopper! I have added Chopper’s rating, equipment guide and mastery guide.

Hey love the site and the info. Just noticed that this character does not have any ratings for grinding, dungeons, or potions. I know the maintenance takes time, but do you have plans to update this?
