@Anthony Hanham, the only thing I see as a potential issue with using him in that way is the long cooldown on that move, 4-5 is pretty high. Reflex could help that, but in my experience it has about the same proc chance as Relentless usually, and debatably it would be of greater use especially since CC’s A1 is a single hitter.

Sorry for taking so long to get you a reply, just was looking on here for suggestions on masteries for mine lol

  2. WayUpInYa

Misery is using a sacred shard and then having this chumpion shat upon me.

  3. Anthony Hanham

@all, do you believe that catacomb counselor is a great Magic affinity champion for the Fire Knight dungeon. On paper he looks good for FN. Am I missing anything that makes CC a poor choice for FN? Any help would be appreciated.

  4. Vincent

Thanks for all your hard work keeping this site going. This is the only place I go for information I need to make informed decisions on my character builds. So thank you again!

  5. Chris

I happen to pull councilor and Hyria one after the other. Hyria’s A3 attacks with 2 allies. Kinda interested to see if I can make a decent team with both using ally attackers.

  6. Elliot

@ayumilove. I can appreciate that you have an ever-increasing list of champs to address. I was just making a comment on a champ I’ve started using recently. His join-up is similar to Kreela’s. While hers is just one turn shorter, CC doesn’t require books to guarantee an actual team-up like she does. He doesn’t place a stun like Kreela does, but that’s not useful in Clan Boss fights anyway. If you have someone like Frozen Banshee (easy to build as a rare, you can set her up to go a3 first, then he ally attacks with her to plant the 5% poisons, then goes on her turn and plants two more. That’s just one example that’s worked for me in cb.

  7. RelativeNewbie

I can definitely find huge use for this guy in FK. Especially if you have Athel and/or Rhazin or others with multi-hit a1 skills. He’s useful in CB for the same reason. Not really sure why he’s rated so lowly in those areas.

    @Are You Serious
You are totally right about the information being “wildly incorrect/out of date.” If someone competent, like yourself, would like to take the 15 or so minutes to update 100s of character information daily, it would be awesome. What’s your site again?

    @ayumilove
You are awesome, most of the info is correct, and good job juggling all of this, gaming and testing the info, and work/family/life in general. Dont listen to naysayers

  9. Are you serious?

While no doubt an admirable amount of effort has been put into creating this site it seems nearly every single page has wildly incorrect/out of date information. I get that he is weak affinity on FK20, but his ascended A3 insta drops shield even in that scenario. Also I don’t think I’ve ever seen gearing information outside of “attack champ? Offense set/speed set,” “defense champ? Defense set/speed set,” “hp champ? Life set/speed set”, and “for all aforementioned Champs doing clan boss, life steal set!” (At least that one is fairly accurate until you’ve got proper supports)

The real information is always in the comments. I think it would be easier to just graciously appreciate the work that has been put into the site if Ayumi was less agro when replying to the innumerable comments attempting to correct misinformation. Legitimately “requested” (reminds me of voluntold) video of this champion in clan boss, dungeons, and arena in order to assess him. I.e. the current information is 100% speculation and guesswork yet that absurdity is how someone that actually has him is responded to when offering insight.

  10. David M Walsh

Partners well with self buffers like relic keeper! Sustain is so niice as well.

  11. Timbo 23

Would he be a good candidate for retaliation gear with his A1?

  12. Destroyer39

This champ is underrated, pair him with a speed lead and booster like high Khatun than put in some powerful AoE first skill champions, like Skullcrown and Sinesha, and Nuke the team with the ally attack.

  13. benjin

@SirPanda That sounds awesome I think I’m gonna give him a shot in a setup like that

  14. Kevin Wilson

I think you have him wrong for CB. Add him and 3 other hero’s with good 1 hitters, get them all going twice a round and you’ve got some big damage.

  15. newsun

@bebjin – Yes, that’s my kit. Speed + Relentless for lots of turns. Working so far, though I’m working on def/HP levels to extend my runs in CB. These ratings here are just wrong, he’s great in lots of content. Enables your whole team to get extra hits in, he’s a force multiplier.

  16. SirPanda

@benjin That’s what I am planning to do, relentless and speed set. He will be a temp member in my CB until I get Longbeard. I have no CA champs so my CB team is a speed team, kind of a grey area with CB vs other more established comps. But with Lanakis as well, I am running Lanakis in a relentless and speed set as well. As a speed team, I am trying to hammer in as much damage as possible in the least amount of time, vs other comps that need more time to do more damage. Speed teams and my two champs that use ally attack in relentless gear helps them go even faster.

  17. benjin

Has anyone tried him in relentless gear with as much speed as you can stack?

  18. pmackerel

A7X is correct. Watch the Hell Hades video before scrapping this champion. By itself it does nothing but does a lot of really awesome things when it has a strong team around it (i.e. Bellower with Stun gear or Poison champions)

  19. matthias schuster

    2 in fireknights castle?

  20. A7X

I think he has such a low ratings because he is dependant other champions to do better or even do anything. If you do not have any good champs to combo with, he is trash.

  21. Jackstill

Hi I noticed you have the wrong information on his A3 skill, it’s 4 turns also in-game alot of player rate this character highly, why is his rating so low here, he does well in fire Knight with his A2 and A3 skill and also in clan boss, if your team has good A1 skills his A3 skill will cause serious harm, you can put poison, decrease attack and weaken all on a boss in one turn, so why is he low rates here?

  22. Redbullracing

Not sure if true becaus I didn’t tested this guy yet. But wouldn’t he be great against Fire Knight? with his A3 the shield is down and your other champs can burst him down, just combo with coldheart/talliah/…
Again didn’t tested yet, but 2 stars is too low i think

@Elliot: Could you kindly show a video of Catacomb Councilor in Clan Boss, Dungeons and also some Arena battles where you use Catacomb Councilor? With that, I can evaluate his potential even better. Currently, his A3 has a long cooldown which is a 1 time used if you start the battle first, does not have any Weaken, Decrease Defense, nor Poison. It would be hard to believe he could deal that amount of damage as Kael at Level 60 (e.g. Brutal Clan Boss).

  24. Elliot

I’m not sure how you come to such low ratings on this champion, in arena I kill one of the opponents team mates with just his A3 skill before they even start, also in clan boss and most dungeons he does alot of damage nearly as much as my kael,he needs 2 speed and 1 crit set, I’m not sure how you do these ratings but they’re wrong.
