Bloodhorn Storyline
Elven scholars have documented the sad truth that Skinwalkers have are becoming increasingly wild and feral with the march of time. Having lost almost all their magical abilities over the ages, more and more of this once glorious race have chosen the way of brute strength. Losing their human side, they are slowly becoming animals. Bloodhorn exemplifies this trend in the latest generation of Skinwalkers. He is ruthless and brutal. He often loses his weapon on battlefields. But it doesn’t bother him much – his raw animal strength carries the day, and he walks away from each battle with his enormous horns covered in fresh blood.
@idktho — you’ve probably long since moved on, but in case somebody else struggles similarly: No, Bloodhorn isn’t worth anything in the Skinwalker faction. You’d use Fleshmonger, Taurus, Windtalker, Gnarlhorn, and Grappler as your best comp. You can’t just look at the star rating here (which is only one person’s opinion, albeit an educated person’s), but you need to look at their kit to see what they bring to your team. That conditional 1-turn 15% heal isn’t worth enough — heck, the ally protection is worth more, but it’s randomly on only 2 allies, not even on the 2 who might need it most. I’d say *meh*. When even the in-game ratings pan a champion across the board (and they strongly tend towards overrating everything), then you know you’ve got a lemon. 35 reviews for a champ who’s been in the game for a long time? Everybody feeds him.
Skinwalkers aren’t all bad (you even have a few decent ones), but compared to other factions, this one is not rich with quality champs, yes.
Mad Hatter – only once
I posted on Huntress also, but hoping to see a reply on both for everyone. Does anyone know if we can get more then 1 of this guy from the bazar? so we can “farm broadmaw books” so to speak
Bloodhorn – what a piece of stinky fast food. A waste of a void shard.
@Moo: Bloodhorn mastery and equipment guide are now available!
@fnōrd: It’s basically 15% Critical Hit on most Faction Crypt PVE mobs, so I don’t count on it. For Arena, most attack champion team are build with close to 100% Critical Rate.
I’m using bloodhorn in faction crypts. Would love to see recommended masteries, well first 2 levels as those are cheap, I wouldn’t go any higher than that for this hero
Well, I was going to ask if being a 1★ rare in campaign (and therefore probably in the faction crypt) means you’re better than a 2★ common or uncommon, but fnōrd gives me some hope for Bloodhorn. But generally, a 1★ rare is probably better than a 2★ common and a 1★ uncommon? And not necessarily better than a 2★ uncommon? I know, hard to make vague generalizations.
I have Fleshmonger, Taurus, Windtalker, Gnarlhorn, Bloodhorn, Satyr, and Grappler. At this point, I’m guessing my best comp will include Fleshmonger, Taurus, Windtalker, Bloodhorn, and Grappler? I’m terrible with Skinwalkers, and I feel like all Skinwalkers are bad, which can’t be true, but that’s how poorly I understand them.
Well, based on reviews this guy looks like an unfortunate one to summon. But on the bright side, if you’re building up your Skinwalkers faction crypt team, Bloodhorn could play an important role. If you don’t have a true healer in the faction, at least his passive heal and Intervene could help.
Passive has typo in
