Bayek Champion Lore Synopsis
Bayek of Siwa is introduced as a fierce warrior and devoted Medjay, sworn to protect the weak from those who exploit and oppress them. His life has been shaped by loss and hardship, turning his sense of duty into an unyielding pursuit of justice. Through suffering and sacrifice, Bayek becomes a symbol of resistance, helping ignite the ideals that will later grow into the Hidden Ones and, in time, the Assassin Brotherhood. His purpose is clear and steady, rooted in defending freedom and standing against cruelty wherever it appears.
Bayek’s story in this tale begins when he finds himself cast into an unfamiliar desert, far from his homeland. Though the land resembles Egypt, subtle differences tell him he is somewhere else entirely. The air feels heavier, the ground rougher, and the sun more unforgiving. Unsure whether this is the will of the gods or some cruel twist of fate, Bayek relies on instinct and experience to survive. He studies the sky and the wind, choosing to travel west so he can follow the setting sun and keep his bearings.
After days of exhausting travel, Bayek reaches an oasis where a group of Nomads have made camp. Among them, he meets Basim, a warrior who carries the same concealed Hidden Blade. This shared symbol creates an instant bond between them. Bayek begins to believe that his arrival in this strange land may not be meaningless after all. The presence of another Assassin suggests purpose, not punishment, and offers the first sense of hope since his ordeal began.
Once they speak with the Nomads, Bayek and Basim decide to journey south to the city of Velyzar, said to be a centre of knowledge and supplies. When they arrive, Bayek is deeply troubled by the misery he sees in its streets, where poverty and suffering are impossible to ignore. Although his instinct is to help, Basim urges him to stay focused on finding a path home. Over several days, they gather information and follow rumours that lead them towards a powerful figure.
Their search draws them to Pontiff Augustin, a mysterious man who walks among the poor dressed in rich robes of purple, black, and gold. He performs what appear to be miracles, blessing the desperate with a strange three fingered sign, aided by a glowing flask at his side. Both Bayek and Basim sense something familiar and dangerous in him. Recognising his influence, Basim suggests that confronting the Pontiff may be the key to helping the people of Velyzar and uncovering a way back home.
Second request for recommendations on gear and stats, thank you.
Can we have recommendations on gear and on stats, please.
I think his Prayer of the Medjay goes from 6 turn cooldown to 4 turn cooldown, not from 5 to 3.
