Arne the White Overview
Arne the White is a Magic affinity Mythical champion from the Barbarians faction, forged in frost and legend. Clad in a white bear pelt adorned with carved totems and gold plated armor, he carries a massive runed blade across his back, its edge glowing with icy resolve. Blue war paint cuts across his stern face, marking him as both warrior and guardian. Once cursed to live as a bear beside his twin, Arne now walks as a man who can still call upon the beast within. On the battlefield, he blends Attack and HP scaling into a relentless duelist and control specialist, shifting forms to pressure enemies from multiple angles.
In his Base Form, Arne revolves around the Deathbrand debuff, applied through Arctic Howl (A3). This skill fuels his team with Increase ATK and Increase ACC while marking every enemy for destruction, then grants him an Extra Turn to immediately capitalize. In Arena, pairing him with champions who thrive on accuracy-based debuffs such as decrease breakers or crowd control specialists allow the entire team to strike harder and land effects more reliably. His Accuracy Aura further amplifies this accuracy pressure, making him a natural leader for aggressive compositions.
White-Hot Rage (A2) is where his execution potential shines. Before striking, he places Block Passive Skills, then ignores half of the target’s DEF along with Block Damage and Unkillable. This makes him a direct answer to revival cores and defensive stall teams. When used after Arctic Howl, killing a Deathbrand target reduces its cooldown and can trigger a devastating chain attack against all enemies. Champions who soften targets first, such as AoE nukers or DEF breakers, enable Arne to secure that crucial first kill and swing momentum instantly.
Song of Steel (A1) and his passive Will of the Tundra deepen that pressure. Song of Steel adds extra hits against Deathbrand targets while permanently shaving off their HP and DEF, making drawn out fights increasingly one sided. Meanwhile, enemies under Deathbrand take more damage and deal less, turning every ally into a stronger threat. His built in immunity to Freeze, Stun, and Provoke ensures he cannot be easily controlled, and his self revive with Block Damage forces opponents to commit heavily to remove him for good. He thrives alongside revive blockers and turn meter boosters who keep the tempo in his favor.
When Arne shifts through Metamorph into his Alternate Form, his role pivots toward sustained control and HP based destruction. Tempest of Swords (A1) delivers two hits with a Stun that becomes irresistible against lower HP targets, encouraging builds that stack massive health. In compositions built around survivability and counter pressure, this allows him to lock down key threats repeatedly.
Goading Roar (A2) elevates his team presence. He provokes all enemies, extending to two turns against bosses, while granting Strengthen to allies and Counterattack to himself. Against bosses like the Magma Dragon or Hydra Clan Boss heads, this creates a loop of forced attacks into his Counterattack, opening more chances to Stun with his A1. Pairing him with healers or shield champions enhances this frontline anchor role, as he absorbs punishment while the team capitalizes.
Glacial Rupture (A3) completes the transformation. Before striking, he places Decrease DEF, then deals individual hits that ignore a large portion of DEF, with extra punishment against stunned or provoked enemies. Because each hit is treated separately, it bypasses many AoE damage reduction effects, making him potent in both PvP and PvE waves. His Bear Heart passive stacks HP and DEF with every death and instantly triggers Glacial Rupture when enemies attempt to control him, without putting it on cooldown. In this form, Arne becomes an unstoppable winter storm, scaling harder as battles rage on and rewarding teams that can sustain him long enough to unleash the full fury of the White Bear.

Arne the White Champion Lore Synopsis
Long ago, among the ice bound people of the Old Norr, there lived a clan unlike the rest. While many of the Norr were feared raiders who plundered distant shores, the folk of Gbalskogl chose peace and harmony with the land. Their greatest champions were twin brothers, Arne and Ulf, born of the same womb and bound by unbreakable loyalty. When a monstrous bear began ravaging their settlement, staining the snow with blood and leaving families vanished, the brothers set out to hunt it. After a fierce struggle, they killed the red muzzled beast. Yet their victory came at a cost. In a fate sung only in part by travelling bards, the brothers were transformed, taking on the shape of the very creature they had slain.
For nineteen years, Arne and Ulf lived as bears, guardians of Gbalskogl. Though fur covered their bodies and claws replaced their hands, their hearts remained human. They drove off wolves and worse threats, both beast and man, shielding their people from harm. In times of famine, they left their hunted prey beside village hearths, ensuring no child starved. The clan understood that these mighty creatures were their protectors. Though changed in form, the brothers’ goodness never wavered, and their quiet devotion became the unspoken strength of Gbalskogl.
One day, a radiant being appeared before them, a snow clad maiden with flame bright hair and white wings gleaming against the frost. Wise and commanding, yet gentle in bearing, she warned of a coming storm. Shadow and fire would soon descend upon the world. Raiders more cruel than the Norr, servants of a distant Doom Father, would sweep across the lands. Though she cared little for the fate of ruthless sea reavers, she would not see Gbalskogl destroyed. With a soft touch, she lifted the curse from Arne and Ulf, restoring them to human form. She granted them a gift: whenever danger rose, they could call upon the strength and endurance of the bear spirit once more.
Filled with awe, the brothers swore to protect their people. They vowed to lead Gbalskogl from the frozen north to safer lands beyond the sea. Returning home as men again, they were greeted with wonder and joy. Yet their hearts were troubled by the prophecy. They roused the clan, trained them for war, and steeled their spirits. When the foretold invaders arrived, twisted and merciless, Gbalskogl stood ready. Arne and Ulf fought with fierce resolve, calling upon their inner might as they battled towards the coast.
After long and bitter struggle, the survivors escaped by ship, leaving the Winterlands behind. They settled in greener lands where peace could take root once more. The radiant maiden, pleased by their courage and faithfulness, bestowed upon Arne and Ulf a final blessing. She granted them amber fragments that shielded them from age and sickness. Thus they became her eternal servants, undying guardians whose legend endured long after the snows of the north had faded from memory.

Skratch: I’M SPEECHLESS! Arne The White Is NEXT LEVEL | Raid: Shadow Legends
@Ronda fan: Thanks for sharing your experiences using Arne in Demon Lord clan boss. I’ll update Arne’s rating for that area.
Arne is triple S tier for early game demon lord, mainly because his deathbrand debuff decreases demon lord’s damage by 20% and increases your team’s damage by 20% because of Arne’s passive. I’m 4 months into a new alt account and my only leggo is Ezio (0 pulled from any shards) but I got lucky pulling Arne from like my 5th primal shard and I was 2-keying NM demon lord by day 78.
I just pullen him and with mediocre gear and no Blessing or masteries, I still one shot some teams in live arena
