Androc the Glorious Champion Lore Synopsis
Androc the Glorious was one of the most celebrated commanders during the Second Great War, renowned for his bravery, charisma, and battle prowess. He ruled the Concord of Werinbur, a prosperous alliance of five cities in central Anhelt. His tale began with an act of kindness when he saved a young lion cub named Kitherus, abandoned and injured. As the two grew, Androc and Kitherus forged a deep bond, earning them admiration and fear. The prince, strengthened by his loyalty to the lion, became a respected figure in his land, a symbol of strength and unity.
By the time the war erupted, Androc had established himself as a capable leader and warrior, with Kitherus always by his side. Their bond was tested in battle, particularly during the crucial Battle of Pharsine Pass. Androc led a charge against the Demonspawn army, with Kitherus keeping pace and saving his master from numerous foes. Together, they claimed victory, with Kitherus famously slaying the enemy leader, Taaresh. This victory cemented Androc’s reputation as a devoted leader and a symbol of hope, loved by allies of all races, including Orcs, Elves, and Ogryns.
One of Androc’s most notable but tragic victories came at the Saltmire Portal. As Telerian forces struggled to close a demonic gateway, Androc and Kitherus fought valiantly at the front lines. The battle was fierce, with warriors drowning in swamps and monsters attacking from all sides. Exhausted and bloodied, Androc was unaware that Kitherus had been overrun by Undead horrors. The lion’s death left Androc devastated, driving him into a berserk fury that ultimately helped turn the tide of battle. Covered in blood and standing amid piles of enemy corpses, Androc grieved for his fallen companion.
After the battle, the Arbiter, a powerful figure, approached Androc and honored his courage. She merged Kitherus’ spirit with Androc’s armor and weapons, allowing him to channel the lion’s strength. With his new abilities, Androc became an even greater force on the battlefield, rallying troops and striking fear into his enemies with the powerful roars that now echoed through his lion-themed armor. His elite soldiers, the Knights of the Wild, followed his example, their armor bearing motifs of fierce animals, inspiring those around them and securing victories for Teleria.
Despite his many triumphs, Androc’s life ended in tragedy. A Demonspawn’s venomous strike nearly killed him, but the Arbiter saved his soul by placing it in a Shard. However, Androc’s legacy was tarnished by his descendants, who resented him for neglecting his family. Their bitterness, combined with political turmoil, led to the fall of Werinbur’s glory. Today, Androc’s memory is only preserved in fading statues and tattered banners, his once-mighty reign reduced to a distant legend.
They added “occurs once per skill” to the description of his 1st form’s passive so multi-hit attacks will only give your team +5% turn meter even if you land more than one hit. Also only +5% if the attack is AOE and hits multiple enemies. It does trigger on ally attacks though. Overall I think he’s decent but generally not a game changer like some of the other S-tier mythicals.
