Jizoh Champion Lore

Jizoh was born in the sewers of the Free City of Arnoc. The Lizardmen in that so-called Free City were in a miserable state after the Gaellen War, forced to work hard labor, shoved away into ghettos or sewers out of sight of the human overlords. They were little better than slaves.

Jizoh himself grew into one of the biggest and strongest members of his clan, but, much to their dismay, he didn’t use his natural gifts to their advantage. While they clawed to secure a better position in Arnoc’s brutal underclass, Jizoh was fascinated with the discarded trinkets and accessories he found as he went about his petty labors. He became obsessed with the Human world, constantly sneaking away from his sewer home to spy on the busy uptown marketplace. On one such trip, he saw a street vendor selling art — paintings and sculptures that the man had created.

Jizoh, in that moment, fell in love with art. It was as though a muse had visited him and tapped him on the shoulder. He was changed forever. Jizoh went home immediately and began crafting with whatever tools he had on hand.

Jizoh locked himself away for days at a time. He melted down silverware, and mixed up homemade dyes and paint. He began sneaking out of the ghettos at night to find more materials. Once he was almost caught, dropping one of his sculptures — a simple wood carving — as he escaped. A little girl found it and was taken with it. Seeing the admiration in her face was another turning point for Jizoh. He began carving small pieces and leaving them for her to find, and she giggled at each new treasure, sometimes leaving him some food in return. They even spoke, on occasion, exchanging a few words, though Jizoh was careful to keep himself hidden. He learned she was often sad, despite her fine clothes and the rich quality of the treats she left him. Her companionship became a great boon to him, and helped him find his creative muse.

One day, she found him as he was leaving her his latest creation. He quickly retreated to the shadows, terrified that his new friend would see him, and know him for a monster. She found no monster at all. The little girl cared not for Jizoh’s appearance; she only cared for how his art had enriched her life. In that moment, the world became so strange it was as if Jizoh had slipped into a dream — one where he was a proud protector of an innocent child, and an artist, free and respected.

Jizoh allowed himself to succumb to his fantasy a little too long. Inevitably, Jizoh was caught speaking to her. It was then that he learned who she was: the niece of a Banner Lord. Upon the discovery of a Lizardman fraternizing with a member of the superior classes, wrath came down quickly. Jizoh was tortured for his crimes by the city militia, but when he had no evil crimes to confess, they decided that he was a thief, and punished him as one: they cut off his arm at the elbow and threw him in a cell.

Even in captivity, Jizoh pursued his craft. His tools were crude, and his subjects bleak, but he painted, still. His muse changed while he was imprisoned: though he could not explain, he no longer dreamed of a world where he was free, but a mysterious figure – one clad in golden armor, calling out for help…

@L0nestar: I have removed the redundant Sand Devil rating. Thanks for highlighting it!

  2. L0nestar

You have Sand Devil listed twice in the ratings. FYI

  3. TheGar

but is a well worth arena fighter, since he has the counter attack, instead of auto u can throw that on another toon who could use the counterattack unless jizoh needs it

  4. TheGar

Not guna lie @Morzoth, I have mine built for cb and campaign, I had +650ish attack
+1650ish def, with alot of speed and accuracy. Fully ascended, NO cold hearts, my jizoh would be last standing in arena head to head with UDKs with 1 or 2 cold hearts for a good 8 min or so, theyre almost dead even fighting each other even though jizoh as a spirit should defeat a force but I think I lacked acc. I just changed mine up with gear removal this weekend.

  5. Morzoth

i had blessing of 6* for him. I sold it, alonside other souls to buy a new soulstone shard and i recieved an additional 6* of him! Now i thinking to make him to 6* ( probably this is my destiny) and i am gonna use him for Shogun boss. Is it working there, anyone? Overall, how he performs in all areas if i equiped him very welll ?

  6. Slayer1833

@Boi Yeah, I kind of feel like Counterattack should work off the slowest enemy champion’s turn instead the target, so you actually get two full turns of paying them back for attacking.

  7. Boi

Seems kind of bad that 3 star ascension grants an extra turn for a2 so that it consumes one turn of Counter attack… So I guess always buff someone else. My problem is right now he’s my only champ for lizardmen faction wars worth using.

  8. Aquadorian

Also there’s a secret room in Hard, rotation 1 SR4, which needs Epic Lizardmen: he’s useful in there even if only at 50, unmastered etc. I managed to beat that room with Broadmaw, Broodlord, Jareg, Jizoh (didn’t have a fifth epic lizard).

  9. tictric

Did just revisit Jizoh’s kit. I think he can be valuable for a budget team on early/mid-game accounts against Force Affinity Magma Dragon (put the ca buff on a champ with a1 provoke and use a3 as back-up if provoke didn’t land).

  10. Mx_50_pro

My 5 * jizoh 1v5 kills the full 5 * team in a minotaur labrinty

  11. Pir

@ La Vino — Jizoh’s AI puts the CA & Shield on the champ with the highest HP. Unfortunately even with the new saved team setups you cannot give the AI specifics such as on whom to place a single-target buff; if you can’t manipulate who has the highest HP on your team, you will have to manual it through the selection point.

  12. Sapiens

    Hello Forum,

Have an idea on this champ that someone might have tried.
Will retaliation set stack with his A2 hitting 2 times?

  13. Kaleb

Is it just me or is it kind of confusing that you have the recommended Artifacts Sets and Stats for…
Arena, Doom Tower, Faction Wars .vs. Campaign, Clan Boss, Dungeons

but then the masteries set up for…

Arena, Campaign, Factions wars .vs. Clan boss, Dungeons, Doom tower

It may just be the case, I find it visually misleading. lol
The masteries benefit the specific scenarios but the gear sets and suggested stats line up?

  14. Shawn C Merrill

How do you setup a champ rec’d from the caledar login such as Jizoh w/2 different mastery setups?

  15. La Vino

I have absolutely no idea how they code the AI. My Jizoh in FW always cast the counter attack buff on Broadmaw which is the worst choice besides Metalshaper (the rest are Basilisk, Rhazin which I would do either)

  16. Izzy

    hi

  17. Izzy

This Champ works well with the Scarab King.

  18. Travis Boyd

Can u play on my account for me I just started Nd I’m trash dm me if u can help on instagram yofavtrav

  19. Charles

Why not giant slater if he hits twice?

  20. Dargentina

    @Brian Bonner

There are several reasons why Grayberd can be end game (imho):

-The ability to max them out.
Graybeard can quickly and easily have his skills maxed by farming.
His skills improve a LOT, increasing mostly his percentages. For example, his A1 escalates to 70%, which is a lot for a normal attack (and doesn’t has a cooldown as Jizoh).
    So
    Jizoh = 12 Epic Books.
    Graybeard= 15 rare Books
While GB needs 3 more “books”, he can be farmed, or obtained at good rates on blue and green shards.

    -Versatility.
You can actually have 2 (or 3) Graybeards, and focus him on several ways (again, since he can be farmed).
His attacks are ATK or DEF (with DEF giving more benefits overall), so depending what you need, you can go with a more offensive or defensive strategy.
While none og his skills have an actual team benefit (like buffs or healings/shields), he has crowd control abilities , making him useful in lots of places (but not so much for Boss-like battles)
Jizoh it’s almost the opposite: he works almost exclusively for the team, and seems more useful on bosses. He has no crowd control or AoE, and his equipment will be almost the same even if you have multiples Jizohs.

(note: noting prevents you from having both on a team, with GB and Jizoh diverting attacks everywhere, and having counterattacks lol)

So I guess, in the long run, GB wins the end-game tag because you can always find a spot for a maxed hero that can have different roles, vs a focused, specific hero that needs hard-to-get valuables (like books and certain equipments)

  21. Brian Bonner

Why is jizoh not end game but graybeard is??
graybeards 70% isnt 100%, but jizoh is 80% without any books, and his freeze with books is only a 40% chance, not something you can count on.
Jizoh places a shield buff, on an ALLY, or himself if manual, for 3 turns, graybeard 2 turns and Jizoh places a shield buff 80% on an ALLY, or himself if you manual it, 2 turns, like graybeard, BUT Jizoh also grants an extra turn! jizoh also has the taunt.

  22. babagloo

Please read the section USABILITY. Jizoh will be food.Or’ll be a FW slow sniper. If you plan to use it anyelse where, you’ll regret it.

  23. SaucyLobes

@Ayumilove might be worth changing Shaman and Jizoh obtain to “7 day login” and “14 day login” reward rather than N/A like you have done with High Khatun and the other free login champs. Could be confusing for newer players.

  24. Caio Castelluber

I have Jizoh Maxed out with LifeSteal and Offense Set(Not Ideal) I keep it that way until I get better stats on Speed or Defense.

As is my Jizoh Can Solo: Arcane Keep lvl 15, Force Keep Lvl 15, Dragon 12, Ice golem 12.

He is also one of the best on my arena, the Counter Attack buff makes him impossible to kill on a 1×1 fight.

He is my last man on CB in any difficulty.

I believe he should be 5* on Force, 4* Dragon and Golem. Also he should be 4* on CB, specially if paired with Frozen Banshee(Highest HP on team).

  25. Begone!

I have Jizoh for a very long time now – one of the first epics I got – and I am very pleased with him. Often he is the last one standing, whether in clan boss or arena. I don’t have him booked, he is 6*, fully ascended, and has all masteries. He has a shield set and a speed set. Not optimal, but the shield set helps my team to survive a lot.

  26. Ayumilove Post author

@Chris: Spider AI will not attack champions that has Counter Attack buff. Jizoh applies Counterattack buff to the highest HP champion in the team. If Jizoh has the highest HP, then he will be buff himself with Counterattack buff, which makes him not a target for Spiderlings. Therefore, the tank bait strategy will not work for Jizoh. Jizoh is not a good candidate for Spider’s Den dungeon based on my experiences interacting with hundreds of champions in-game.

  27. Chris

Thoughts on using very fast jizoh to cast his counteract and a very slow high defense, high hp champ with a1 aoe life steal with giant slayer as a Spider tank?
If jizoh is 2.5x faster than the tank then he should be about to keep the counterattack up on the tank champ. The rest of the team focus on damage and turn meter manipulations.

    Issues ?

  28. Ayumilove Post author

@Yman: I have added the stage that Jizoh is viable in this page.

  29. Yman

Btw there is no indication of what stage he is good at using, such as early, mid, or late stage.

  30. Adam

I prefer wrath of slain as there is a 90% chance he will be the last alive.

  31. Castelluber

Would you please review the Foce keep Rate.
My Jizoh Can solo the highest stage since level 50.

  32. Punzil

@JimmyFLASH: I use him in Fire Knight with Aethel and Coffin Smasher. They are faster than him, so Aethel will already have used her extra turn, so it won’t wipe out a round of boosting, and the extra turn gives Jizoh a chance to A1 the FK with two hits. The Counterattack also gives either Aethel or CS an extra 3 hits to Jizoh’s two to help bring down that shield. I use a similar strategy in Clan Boss, because it’s better to give someone else the buff than Jizoh himself once he is ascended and has that extra turn.

  33. JimmyFLASH

Uaaa! I am so angry, that I ascended this champion!!! He was so awesome for single farming, but now is his huge advantage gone 🙁 I think this should be fixed by add 1 more turn of counter attack.

  34. JimmyFLASH

I am very disappointed with his Ascended Fierce Protector skill when Grants an extra turn. Now he has just 1 counter attack turn when applied on himself and he lost big amount of damage.

  35. jungeMann

    @Daakon:
There are many sources of DEF. So a def set will give you an imporvement but no game changer.
Lifesteal IS a game changer on itself though. It scales with all your armor because your gained life will be harder to take away.

  36. Adam

I don’t auto with him sorry mainly because I run with Zavia, thenasil, jizoh, vizier and aothar at the moment. Zavia is pretty awesome for poisons but can’t use her on auto due to her A3 :(.

  37. Daakon

Im still new so please can you elaborate why you prefer Lifesteal equip over Defense?

  38. Tobi

I don´t think he performs very well in Arena Gold 4/ Platinum. There are a lot better pulls. But in Lower ranks he is pretty nice 🙂

  39. DJ

Why is he listed as Bad?

  40. Ayumilove Post author

@Adam: Thanks for sharing your experiences with us on how you utilize Jizoh in Clan Boss! Did you manual your Jizoh in Clan Boss to apply Counterattack buff on Vizier Ovelis because Jizoh applies his Counterattack buff on the highest HP champion in the team if there is one unless he has the most HP on himself. I have bumped up Jizoh rating from 1 Star to 3 Star in Clan Boss for his solo utility skill.

  41. Ayumilove Post author

@Obeliske: Defiant provides additional resist to prevent debuff from being applied on Jizoh. Debuff in this game reduces champion’s capabilities and survivability in battle significantly. Example, if Jizoh has 3000 Defense in total stats and received a Decrease Defense Debuff 60%, its total Defense stats is reduced instantly but temporarily for X number of turns to 1200 (3000 x 40% remaining defense = 1200). This makes him as squishy and easily defeated in few hits in battle. Stacking as much of Resist will prevent this from occurring and increases his odds of surviving against champions that specializes in debuff.

  42. Obeliske

Why Defiant over Tough Skin? Sorry if it’s a dumb question I’m learning the game still and he’s my current favorite champion.

  43. Adam

1 Star for clan boss but for me on nightmare is brilliant. He is pumped with defence and I use his counter attack on vizier which helps increase the debuffs up to 10+. Once everyone is dead, he is still there defending himself and letting the poisons run out. I think he lasts a good 2-4 turns after everyone dead and with maxed poisons, it’s a lot of damage.

  44. rob gaerlan (roblan1968@Raid)

right now, Jizoh is my strongest (i think) champ.
He is now at rank 5 stars, ascended 4

He can clear campaigns all by himself.
He is armed with the 4 epic regeneration artifacts (on weapon, helmet, gauntlet, chestplate)
the epic offense artifacts on shield and boots
all the artifacts are level 12

the farthest he can defeat them all by himself is godfrey’s crossing, stage 1, on normal and hard difficulty

  45. Nhut

Why the star of this champion in grinding is almost 5* but he is bad in the champion list?

  46. Ricky Renaldo

    Thanks bro
