Conquering the final stage of the Nightmare Campaign in Raid Shadow Legends is no small feat, but it’s the ultimate test of strategy and patience. Facing off against Mortu Macaab, with his terrifying secret skill Peril, can feel like fighting a ticking time bomb. The clock is ticking (10 minutes or less to win!), and you’re only allowed two champions, but Mortu’s Fiery Rage passive is the real threat. If you trigger it, his Peril skill will annihilate one of your champions, bypassing all defenses and even blocking revives. But don’t panic—there’s a method to the madness. The key? Don’t give Mortu a reason to unleash that devastating skill. Let’s dive into how to dance around that danger and walk away with 3 stars!
3 Star Nightmare Campaign Strategy
Poison Strategy
- The smartest way to avoid triggering Mortu’s Fiery Rage is by using champions that deal poison damage without directly hitting him. Poison debuffs are your best friends here, slowly whittling down his health without triggering his passive ability. Enter Scyl of the Drakes and Dark Kael — an unbeatable duo for this strategy. Scyl is everyone’s go-to for her strong stun crowd control, healing, and reviving capabilities. Pair her with Dark Kael, who can safely place three Poison debuffs and Poison Sensitivity on Mortu without even touching him. It’s like disarming a bomb from a safe distance while Scyl makes sure your team stays in one piece!
- If you don’t have Dark Kael or a champion that places Poison, don’t worry – there’s still hope with champions who apply poison on hit. This route is riskier since every strike has a 20% chance of triggering Mortu’s wrath, but it’s worth a try. Venomage, for example, applies two Poison debuffs per hit, and her passive reduces incoming damage when enemies are under a Heal Reduction debuff, giving you a fighting chance. Plus, Venomage’s Magic affinity offers some protection, making her a viable alternative even if the odds aren’t always in your favor.
- But wait, there’s more! Some Poison champions bring extra flair to the fight. Take Tomb Lord from the Knights Revenant faction — he places four Poison debuffs on all enemies with a critical hit, then reduces Turn Meters and applies Decrease Attack and Defense. Or consider Urogrim from the Ogryn Tribes, who not only floods the field with Poison debuffs but also heals your allies and provides a universal speed aura to keep things moving fast. Both champs can help you breeze through the waves and keep Mortu’s Peril at bay.
- And for the grand finale, champions like Kalvalax and Teodor the Savant can turn the tide with their powerful Poison combos. Kalvalax automatically places four Poisons at the start of each round, while Teodor’s ability to extend and instantly detonate Poisons can take down even the toughest enemies in no time. Sure, there’s a bit of luck involved in avoiding Peril, but with the right strategy and champions, Mortu Macaab will fall before he even gets a chance to blink. Follow these tips, and that final reward will be yours in no time!
Paragon Strategy
- The Paragon strategy is all about turning the tables on Mortu Macaab and making sure your team walks away unscathed. The magic happens with Paragon’s Unkillable buff, which you’ll slap on him for two turns with a perfect cooldown. This keeps him alive and absorbing all the hits like a pro. But there’s a catch – Paragon needs to be the weakest of your duo, gear-wise, so Mortu and his crew are sure to target him. If your other champion has a negative affinity to Mortu, that’s even better! Paragon’s speed should be dialed up to over 200 to keep the buff cycling, and don’t forget to pump up his Resistance (above 105) so Cruetraxa doesn’t strip away his precious Unkillable or get hit by Mortu’s Block Buffs.
- Now, choosing the right buddy for Paragon is crucial! A champ like Miscreated Monster fits the bill perfectly, with self-healing, crowd control, and a favorable affinity to keep the pressure on Mortu. If Miscreated isn’t available, consider Lifesteal gear on your ally to help them heal up while dishing out damage. Time is your enemy here, so skip the minions and go straight for Mortu’s throat. Equip your ally with the Warmaster mastery for that extra punch and watch as you take down the boss faster than Mortu can say Peril!
Late Game Dominance Strategy
- If you’ve reached the late game and are packing some serious firepower, it’s time to dominate the final stage and claim that Sacred Shard you might’ve overlooked! Champions like Sun Wukong will melt the boss with their immense damage, while Harima steps in to reduce that pesky ignore Defense effect. If you’re worried about tanking hits, Duchess Lilitu has your back, soaking up damage like a champ.
- The key here is balancing damage output with survivability — if you’re rolling with two damage dealers, make sure they can survive the waves, or throw in a strong support to keep them alive and kicking! Time is still a factor — kill the boss before Peril gets triggered! Make sure your champions have the right affinities to exploit the boss’s weaknesses, and you’ll breeze through the final stage. Keep your Nukers protected, or go full throttle with a support unit covering your back, and victory will be yours in no time!
