Visit the town of Mushroom Shrine and help out the yokai NPCs in Mushroom Shrine Tales, MapleStory’s newest theme dungeon! Form relationships with the spirited NPCs, and take on the unflappable new boss, Tengu! Then enjoy the last of summer with worldwide Water Wars! Join up with the Cygnus Knights or the Resistance and soak your opponents. Celebrate music with the Maple Music Festival. Join in limbo rhythm mini-games, enjoy BBQ and fireworks, and collect some new chairs. The Futuroid event and other events will also be arriving. All this and more, in Mushroom Shrine Tales!

Mushroom Shrine

Requirement: Lv. 100 and above

  • Participate in the all new interactive story: Mushroom Shrine Strange Tales!
  • Work with the Shrine Maiden, Kino Konoko, to find the 5 Elements and restore her sister’s health!
  • Along the way, earn various items such as brand-new titles, equips, and even new skills!
  • Converse with, and increase your closeness with, the various characters you meet along your journey to earn new skills and boosted stats!
  • Battle an all-new boss, Tengu, in a new, unique style! Tengu is strong, so normal attacks won’t work against him. Perform various button combinations at the right time in order to damage and defeat him. Make sure you listen to the NPC hints to gain an edge in the battle! Do you have what it takes to defeat Tengu and restore the Shrine Maiden’s health?

Reboot Link Event

September 7 – October 18
Requirements:

  • Available for all levels
  • One Warrior, Mage, Bowman, Thief, and Pirate job per account

Reach Lv. 100 with one of each of the character class types (Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief, Pirate) by October 18 to receive rewards for your characters in non-Reboot worlds. The event will open up for one class type each week until all 5 class types are open.

  • Warrior – September 7
  • Magician – September 14
  • Bowman – September 21
  • Thief – September 28 (Xenon characters will be considered a Thief)
  • Pirate – October 5

Rewards: Rewards will be distributed after the maintenance on October 19

Reboot New Character Event

September 7 – October 18
Requirement: New Reboot world character created during the event period (excludes Zero characters).

  • Level up a new character on Reboot world and receive huge meso rewards for reaching the following leveling milestones: Lv. 15, 30, 60, and 100.
  • This can be completed once per account.

OTHER NEW EVENTS

Water Wars

September 7 – October 4
Requirement: Lv. 33 and above

  • Take part in the Water Wars event! Empress Cygnus will designate you to a team and, after training at your camp, you will be ready to head out to the battlefield.
  • Raise your personal score enough to obtain a reward from the empress herself for participating in this event.
  • The real fight between the Resistance and the Cygnus Knights begins each day from 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM Pacific time. Make sure you participate and help your team! You can see the score at the top of your screen.
  • Each time the enemy hits you with their Water skills, you don’t get hurt. You actually benefit from being hit! You gain buffs that you can stack by being hit. Just make sure it’s worth it in the long run.
  • As you progress in levels, earn titles to show off to your teammates. As you progress you will also unlock special missions to go after the enemy’s high ranking characters.
  • As you defeat monsters, there’s a chance they will drop Aqua Bucks. You can use these to purchase Water Wars skills and other items such as:
    • Quackmaster Sr. Coupon
    • Hydro-drone Blitz Coupon
    • Triple Bubble Blaster Coupon
    • Whirling Balloon Bomb Coupon
    • Cygnus Water Warrior Chair

Futuroid Event

September 7 – October 11
Requirement: Lv. 13 and above

  • Collect all of the parts needed to assemble your Futuroid, and bring them to NPC Gaga in the Event Hall. Some parts can be obtained from the cash shop.
  • Gaga will help you assemble, and you will be able to select a gender for your Futuroid.
  • Purchase one of the variations of Electronic Hearts from NPC Nack’s shop in Crafting Town to give your life to your Futuroid.

New & Returning Players Event

New Player Event:
Requirement: Be a new MapleStory player.

  • New players will be able to take advantage of an event that helps them on their adventures in Maple World!
  • Upon starting this quest, you will receive some items to help you get started.
  • Upon reaching Lv. 30, 60, 100 and 140 you will receive an Achievement Gift with progressively better items to help you in your journey.

Returning Player Event:
Requirement: Be a player that has not logged into MapleStory since 8/7/2016.

  • As a returning player, accept the attendance check that appears on the star quest notifier on the left side of the screen.
  • After accepting the quest, hunt down the necessary monsters and complete that day’s attendance check.
  • Upon completing your attendance checks, you will receive different rewards based on how many attendance checks you were able to complete.

Mystic Gate

September 10 – October 10 (Only on weekends during the event period)
Requirement: Lv. 75 and above

  • The Mystic Gate has returned! Defeat the Mystic Bosses that the gate summons and win boss-specific gachapon boxes.
  • During the event period, Mystic Gate can be found in Henesys, Pantheon and Leafre. Enter it to teleport to the Mystic Field.
  • One of the 5 Mystic Bosses – Von Leon, Akarium, Hilla, Zakum and Horntail – will be randomly summoned in the Mystic Field and will stay for 15 minutes. A warning message will pop up 10 and 5 minutes before the boss appears. You need to defeat the bosses before they disappear in order to receive EXP bonuses and rewards.
  • If you deal damage to the Mystic Bosses, you will receive a random gift box after defeating the boss. If you cannot deal any damage, or if you leave the Mystic Field during the fight, you will not receive a gift box.
  • The map of Mystic Field has a special UI that displays the top 5 players that deal the most damage for each Mystic Boss fight. These players will receive additional random gift boxes depending on their ranks.

Homecoming: Sports Day

September 14 – September 27
Requirement: Lv. 33 and above

  • Come take part in MapleStory’s Sports Day event!
  • This event runs for two weeks and contains special events each week.
  • Move to the Event Hall to begin some quests by speaking to Cassandra or Wonky.
  • From September 14 – September 20, the Extreme Tug-of-War event will begin at the 5 and 35 minute of every hour. You can participate by clicking the icon above your head. Accepting will move you to a waiting area before the event begins. Bring your friends!
  • From September 21 – September 27, the G-G-G-Gourd Breaker event will begin on every hour, then again 30 minutes later. You can participate by clicking the icon above your head. Accepting will move you to a waiting area before the event begins. Bring MORE of your friends!
  • Collect Sports Day coins you can use to purchase the following:
    • Underneath the Maple Tree… (Chair)
    • Pink Coin Purse
    • Sports Day Equips and Scrolls

Homecoming: Queen Bee

September 14 – October 4
Requirement: Lv. 33 and above

  • The Queen Bee has invaded Henesys! Defeat her to get a queen’s ransom’s worth of treasure, including 30-day or 90-day items!
  • Travel through Henesys to destroy the Queen’s beehives to obtain 1-day costume covers!

Spell Trace Fever Time

September 17 – September 18October 8 – October 9
Requirement: Available for all levels, in non-Reboot worlds only.

  • Enjoy higher success rates when upgrading your equipment during our Spell Trace Fever Time Event!

Times:

  • 12:00 AM – 3:00 AM Pacific (3:00 AM – 6:00 AM Eastern)
  • 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM Pacific (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Eastern)

Maple Music Festival

September 21 – October 18
Requirement: Lv. 33 and above

  • Take part in the Maple Music Festival, a multi-tiered event which will allow you to earn new items such as chairs, cubes, equips, and more!
  • From September 21 – September 27, help DJ JM rebuild his DJ Booth via daily quests to earn tickets for additional daily entries into the Maple Music Festival! Help DJ JM every day during this timeframe and receive a chair that will drop sick beats and drop jaws!

  • From September 28 – October 18, hunt monsters to receive drops to build up the BBQ Pit in the Campgrounds. Once it’s complete, it will start a BBQ Party where various items rain from the sky!
  • Every Saturday from September 28 – October 18 at 3:00 PM Pacific time and 8:00 PM Pacific time, travel to the Campgrounds to see the Fireworks Festival! Watching this will earn you items and buffs such as:
    • Dragon Fireworks Damage Skin
    • Heart Sunglasses
    • Floral Fireworks Hat
    • Maple Music Groove (Buff)
    • Maple Music Boogie (Buff)
    • Maple Music Strut (Buff)
  • From September 28 – October 18, check the Concert Schedule in order to enter the Maple Music Festival! You can enter 6 times a day, and there are 5 available stages. Survive the killer beats from the DJ as long as possible to earn rewards such as:

Maple Bonfire

September 21 – October 18
Requirement: Lv. 100 and above

  • Go camping to the woods and help defeat monsters that are trying to ruin your trip. Trips begin every hour on the hour to the Campgrounds.
  • After defeating a mob of monsters, receive a Bonfire Random Box with special items inside to help you. Complete this enough times and earn a level-specific medal and a special damage skin.

Absolute Belt

September 21 – October 18
Requirement: Lv. 13 and above

  • Complete daily quests in order to earn and level up your own Absolute Belt!
  • Each Absolute Belt will last 7 days before expiring, requiring you to start over from the beginning.
  • Upgrade the belt 10 times to receive a fully upgraded, permanent Perfect Absolute Belt!

Rainbow Festival

September 21 – October 18
Requirement: Lv. 13 and above

  • Complete various unique daily quests throughout the week to receive crayons in order to color Cassandra’s rainbow drawing!
  • Completion of each daily quest can award the player a buff, a crayon, and/or a Rainbow Box! The Rainbow Box holds various rewards, including scrolls, elixirs, and a damage skin!
  • Collect 7 different crayons and complete the rainbow drawing to receive the Rainbow Festival Set, which includes a badge, earrings, and an outfit!

2x EXP & Drop Weekends

September 24 – September 25October 1 – October 2
Requirement: Available for all levels
We will be running 2x EXP & Drop events during select weekends in September and October! Be sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss out on these chances to power through your level-ups!
Times:

  • 12:00 AM – 4:00 AM Pacific (3:00 AM – 7:00 AM Eastern)
  • 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM Pacific (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Eastern)
