Star Planet

Requirement: Lv. 33 or above

  • Star Planet is a new area where you can play a variety of mini-games such as Star Monsteropoly or Star Game of Yut to earn Star Points that improve your Star Grade.
  • The higher your Star Grade the more rewards you can get!
  • In Star Planet, you can also get your fortune told, receive daily buffs, and earn Reward Points.
  • Earn enough Star Points and you can even be chosen as one of the weekly Shining Stars!
  • You become a Shining Star if you are in the Top 100 of the Star Planet Rankings or if you’re in the Top 5 of any of the Star Planet game ranking leaderboards when the Shining Stars are selected. When you become a Shining Star you can earn rewards such as a pet and title.

Entering and Travelling Through Star Planet

  • You must be Lv. 33 or above to access Star Planet.
  • Star Planet is a shared server so any player from any world can play together in Star Planet!
  • You can select the ‘Go to Star Planet’ button from the character selection screen to enter Star Planet.
  • You can select the Star Planet button, next to the Cash Shop button, from in-game interface to enter Star Planet.
  • While in Star Planet, certain features, skills, and inventory menus (USE and ETC tab) may not be available.
  • You can use the Star Planet Limousine to travel between the Central Plaza and the Star Arena Street.
  • You can use the Elevators to travel between the Central Plaza and the Star Arena Street.
  • For more information about Star Planet, you can access the Star Planet Guidebook from the Bobble in the Star Planet Lobby.

Star Grade

  • As you earn Star Points from mini-games and events in Star Planet, your Star Grade increases.
  • There are 12 different Star Grades to attain:
    • Beginner Nebula
    • Rising Nebula
    • Prime Nebula
    • New Star
    • Fresh Star
    • Junior Star
    • Senior Star
    • Master Star
    • Prime Star
    • Beginner Supernova
    • Rising Supernova
    • Soaring Supernova
  • Once you reach the Star Grade “New Star” you will begin to earn benefits with each new Star Grade you reach.
    • To receive your benefits from attaining new Star Grades, you must talk to Pom Pom in the Star Planet Lobby.
    • Any benefits you attain for reaching a new Star Grade cannot be used if your Star Grade goes below the grade the benefits were awarded at.

Shining Star

  • Shining Stars will be selected every Thursday at 12 AM Pacific based on the following criteria:
    • All players in the top 100 of the Star Planet Popularity Ranking Boards.
    • All players in top 5 of any of mini-games on the Game Ranking Boards.
  • Once selected as a Shining Star you can enjoy all of the benefits until the next Shining Star selection process the following week on Thursday at 12 AM Pacific.
  • Shining Stars can talk to Hop Hop in the Central Plaza to:
    • Post a message to the big screen in the Central Plaza.
      • You can only post a message once ever 10 minutes.
      • Only 10 Shining Stars per channel at a time can post a message
    • Enter the exclusive stage area to the left or right on the Central Plaza screen.
  • You can check to see if you are on track to become a Shining Star by checking out the the Popularity Ranking Board.
    • This leaderboard shows the Star Points status for the top 100 players.
    • You can also search character names to check the points of any player.
    • There is a Popularity Ranking Board both in the Central Plaza and Star Arena.
    • The leaderboard will refresh on every Thursday at 12AM and the top 100 will become Shining Stars.

Star Arena Mini-games

  • Six mini games have been added for Star Planet Arena.
    • Attack! Typing Defense
      • Single Player
      • Type the words that appear above the enemies to prevent them from overwhelming the area.
    • Mayhem! Typing Defense
      • 3 Players
      • Similar to the single player version, in this one, you compete against other players for more points.
    • Win Streak! Rock-Paper-Scissors
      • Single Player
      • In this twist on the normal rock-paper-scissors formula, this game tests your quickness and judgment ability by facing Zakum and forcing the outcome that Zakum wants.
    • Star One Card
      • 4 Players
      • This is a tactical card game.
      • Four players are required to start a game.
      • Upon entering, each player is given a hand of cards.
      • When it’s your turn, you can play cards with the same color or number as the previous card.
      • If you have no cards you can place, you must draw a card from the deck.
      • The goal is to get rid of all of your cards.
      • If you reach 17 cards in your hand, you will lose the game.
      • There are four types of cards: Colored Numbers, Magic, Attack, and Knight.
        • Colored Number: Numbers from 1-6 in each color.
        • Magic: Various effects such as skipping player’s turns, changing the color to one of your choice, etc.
        • Attack: Cause the next player to have to take a specified amount of cards. These can be defended by a card that has the same or higher attack power.
        • Knight: Based on the Cygnus Knights, these powerful cards have various special effects.
  • Star Monsteropoly
    • 3 Players
    • A dice-driven strategy board game.
    • Monsteropoly is a game that is played against two other players.
    • The time limit for one round is 10 minutes.
    • The Heart icon represents the player’s resources, used to tame monsters.
    • The Maple Leaf icon represents the player’s points, determined by the amount of Hearts and monsters owned.
    • Players will lose the game if their Hearts reach 0.
    • Press the “Roll” button to throw the dice and advance your piece.
    • Rolling doubles will allow the player to roll again.
    • Players can tame the monster on the location they land on with their hearts to make it their area.
    • If players land on their own monster, they may choose to enhance it to increase the monster’s attack.
    • When other players land on your area, you will obtain hearts from them based on the monster’s attack.
    • Players can also seduce and enhance monsters from other players when they land on the area at the cost of additional hearts.
    • A fully enhanced monster (+3) cannot be seduced by other players.
    • Landing on one of the random zones, located on the corners of the board, will give players one ability:
      • Defend an attack once: If you enter a monster area owned by an opponent, your Hearts will not get deducted. (Lasts 1 turn.)
      • Move anywhere: Allows the player to move anywhere on the board.
      • Enhance a monster: Enhances a monster you own for free.
      • Seduce a monster: Allows the player to select any monster owned by an opponent to seduce.
    • There are also special zones located on the game board:
      • Start: Landing on or passing the starting space will give the player 100 hearts.
      • Potion: Gives the player 100 hearts.
      • Bomb: Decreases the player’s hearts by 200.
      • Moon Bunny: This monster starts fully enhanced when tamed.
  • Star Game of Yut
    • 2 Players
    • A Korean traditional strategy board game.
    • Compete against another player in the traditional game of Yut.
    • Press the “Cast Yut” button to throw the Yut Sticks.
    • Players can move from 0 to 5 spaces or 1 space back at a time depending on their cast(s).
    • Getting a 4 or 5 will result in an additional cast.
    • Moving onto a space with the player’s own piece will combine all pieces on the space, allowing them to move together.
    • Moving onto a space with an opponent’s piece will result in it getting captured and sent back to the starting area.
    • If a game piece moves to an ‘arrow’ space, the character will take a shortcut, bypassing a section of the board.
    • The first player to move all four of their game pieces from the start to the goal wins.
  • For any mini-game that requires more than one player, you can either match to a random player by selecting “Request Game” or play the game with your own party by choosing “Party Play” in the mini-game main menu.
    • Matching to a random player will earn you Star Points and Reward Points and allow your best times to be recorded in the Game Ranking Board.
    • Playing with your own party will not allow you to earn any points or be on the Game Ranking Board for that session.
  • You can check the leaderboard for each mini-game on the Game Ranking Board inside the Star Arena.
    • The leaderboard displays the top 100 for each mini-game, but you can also search character names to rank of any player.
    • The Game Ranking Board will refresh Thursday at 12 AM Pacific and all players in top 5 for each game will be selected as Shining Star.
  • You can customize certain elements of each mini-game in the main menu for each game.
  • For more information about Star Arena mini-games, you can talk to Furball in the Star Arena areas, or the click the question mark icon on the top right of each mini-game main menu.
  • You can also play classic games such as Go Go! Mesoranger (requires 5 people) and Star Omok (requires 2 people) when visiting the Star Game Center in the East Avenue.
    • These games are not ranked and you do not receive any Star Points or Reward Points from these games.

Star Plaza World Events

  • Star Bingo
    • While in Star Planet, at the hour mark every hour between 12 PM and 10 PM Pacific you will get an invitation to play Star Bingo.
    • Up to 100 people can participate and prizes are awarded to the first 30 people to get a bingo before 50 numbers are called.
    • The top player also receives a special prize for winning the tournament.
    • You must talk to Floppy to receive your prize.
    • If you have a prize to waiting to be picked up from Floppy, you cannot participate in the any Star Planet world events until you pick up your prize.
    • You get Star points depending on your ranking and the first place winner gets a Master-o-Bingo Hat: Untradeable, 7 day duration.
  • 1 vs 100 Rock-Paper-Scissors
    • While in Star Planet, at the :20 mark every hour between 12 PM and 10 PM Pacific you will get an invitation to play 1 vs 100 Rock-Paper-Scissors.
    • Up to 100 people can participate
    • This is a survival game where winning or drawing allows you to continue to the next round.
    • Your prize depends on what what round you are able to reach.
    • You must talk to Floppy to receive your prize.
    • If you have a prize to waiting to be picked up from Floppy, you cannot participate in the any Star Planet world events until you pick up your prize.
    • You get Star points depending on your ranking and the first place winner gets a Kemdi Mask: Untradeable, 7 day duration.
  • Celebrity Photo Op
    • While in Star Planet, at the :40 mark every hour between 12 PM and 10 PM Pacific you will get an invitation to participate in the celebrity photo op session.
    • Click on Ryan D. and Sierra Grace who will appear in the Shining Star stage to take pictures and get Star Points.
    • The amount of Star Points given will be based on the celebrity’s pose.
  • Lucky Ticket
    • While in Star Planet, at the :30 mark every hour between 12 PM and 10 PM Pacific you will get an invitation to participate in the Lucky Ticket event.
    • If you have 3 Lucky marks on your ticket, you get 1st place. 2 for 2nd place, 1 for 3rd place, and none gets you 4th place.
    • If you get disconnected during the drawing or cancel it, it will count the ticket as being used.
    • You get Star points depending on your ranking and the first place winner gets a Lucky Lucky Hat: Untradeable, 7 day duration.

Star Fortune Teller

  • You can talk to the Star Fortune Teller in the Central Plaza to have your fortune read once per day.
  • The fortune teller will grant you 1 of the random Daily buffs below or a chance to get all four buffs!:
    • Oh So Popular: Bonus Star Points earned from mini-games
    • Pig Dreamer: Bonus Reward Points earned from mini-games
    • Ancestor’s Blessing: 1st and 2nd place winning chance goes up significantly for the Lucky Ticket event.
    • Trial and Error: You can receive a second chance at the Lucky Ticket event.
    • Life Time of Luck in One Shot: All four buffs listed above!
  • The buff received from the Fortune Teller are persistent when moving maps or after reconnecting to the game.

Star Planet Experience Coupons

  • You can earn Star Planet EXP coupons in Star Planet by accumulating Star Points and filling your EXP buff gauge.
  • When you access your Character Info, you can check the progress of your EXP buff gauge.
  • You can redeem the EXP gauge once per day and once the gauge is at least 25%.
  • You can select which EXP coupon you receive depending on how much of the gauge is filled when it is redeemed.
    • Star Planet EXP Coupon: Untradeable, 1 day duration, Buff last for 15 minutes.
    • Fine Star Planet EXP Coupon: Untradeable, 1 day duration, Buff last for 30 minutes.
    • Dazzling Star Planet EXP Coupon: Untradeable, 1 day duration, Buff last for 45 minutes.
    • Stupendous Star Planet EXP Coupon: Untradeable, 1 day duration, Buff last for 60 minutes.
  • All coupons have a different duration and grant 2x EXP when in Maple World.
    • The coupons do not stack with other EXP coupons.

Maple Rewards

Maple Rewards System

  • The new Maple Rewards system allows you access to items normally sold in the Cash Shop, by using Reward Points that you can earn in the game.
  • You can earn Reward Points in the game by participating in events, playing mini-games in Star Planet, defeating bosses, clearing dungeons, and even leveling up.
  • You can also get a small amount of Reward Points by purchasing items from the Cash Shop with NX Prepaid or NX Credit.
  • Reward Points are used to purchase items in the Maple Rewards Shop or to apply a 30% discount on certain Cash Shop purchases. The items in the Maple Rewards Shop will be updated frequently, so don’t forget to check it regularly!

Earning Reward Points

  • You will receive 5% of the total amount of NX Prepaid or NX Credit spent as Reward Points for making purchases in the Cash Shop.
  • Reward Points cannot be earned through purchasing gifts and gift related items such as Friendship Rings, permanent items, and additional inventory and storage slots.
  • You can earn Reward Points through gameplay in the following ways:
    • When your character reaches certain levels. These rewards are restricted to one time per level per account.
      • Lv. 70 – 20 Reward Points
      • Lv. 100 – 50 Reward Points
      • Lv. 150 – 80 Reward Points
      • Lv. 200 – 150 Reward Points
      • Lv. 210 – 300 Reward Points
      • Lv. 220 – 500 Reward Points
      • Lv. 230 – 600 Reward Points
      • Lv. 240 – 700 Reward Points
      • Lv. 250 – 1,000 Reward Points
    • When completing one of the Star Planet mini-games, you will get Reward Points based on your performance in the mini-game.

    • When defeating bosses, you will get Reward Points. You can only get Reward Points once per day per boss.
      • 50 Reward Points when you beat Zakum, Chaos Zakum, Hilla, Hard Hilla, Horntail, Chaos Horntail, Von Leon, Arkarium, Pink Bean, Chaos Pink Bean, Cygnus, Magnus, Hard Magnus, Von Bon, Chaos Von Bon, Pierre, Chaos Pierre, Crimson Queen, Chaos Crimson Queen, Vellum, Chaos Vellum, Ranmaru, Hard Ranmaru, Princess No, or Gollux.
      • 20 Reward Points when you beat Easy Magnus or Krexel.
    • When defeating monsters in certain Party Quests, Theme Dungeons, and the Merchant Union Trade, you will earn Reward Points.
      • 40 Reward Points when defeating Tarantulus.
      • 30 Reward Points when defeating Demolishizer, Prison Guard Ani, Ephenia, Ravana, Angry Targa, Furious Scarboss, Emperor Toad, Grosso Polpo, Livyatan, Black Viking, or King Castle Golem.
      • 20 Reward Points when defeating Mole King, Captain Darkgoo, Dragon Rider, Perfect Visitor, or Rex.
      • 10 Reward Points when defeating Furious Targa, Furious Scarlion, or The Boss.
      • 5 Reward Points when defeating Galacto-Drill.
    • When entering Monster Park multiple times, you will receive Reward Points.
      • Play Monster Park 5 times to receive 50 Reward Points.
      • Play Monster Park 10 times to receive 150 Reward Points.
    • Certain Maple Rewards quests can be found under the “In Progress” tab of the Quest Log in the “Cash” section.
    • To earn Reward Points from the Maple Rewards quests, you must click the “Finish Quest” button after selecting the quest from either the Maple Rewards notifier or the Quest Log.

Storing Reward Points

  • Whenever you earn Reward Points through gameplay, you must enter the Cash Shop within 7 days of earning the points to store the points in your account for use. Otherwise, those Reward Points you earned will expire and be deleted.
  • All Reward Points that are stored are usable until the end of the next month at 11:59 PM Pacific from the date they are stored in the Cash Shop, after which the points will be deleted from your account. For example, Maple Rewards earned in May can be used until 11:59 PM Pacific of June 30.
  • When earning Reward Points through gameplay, you may earn points up to 10 times per account before you stop earning points through gameplay.
  • Once you stop earning points, you must enter the Cash Shop and store your points before you can begin earning points through gameplay again.

Using Reward Points

  • You can use Reward Points as payment for 30% of certain Cash Shop purchases. You must have 30% or more Reward Points of the purchase price in order to apply Reward Points.
  • Reward Points cannot be used for Cash Shop purchases of the following items: Pet and Equipment Cover Packages, Royal Hair and Face Coupons, All Stars Hair Coupons, Beauty Album Hair and Face Slot Coupons, 2x EXP Coupons, 2x Drop Coupons, Quest Boosters, Nebulites and Nebulite Diffusers, Premium Fusion Ticket Exchange Coupons, Androids and any Android-related items such as Hearts and Naming Coupons, Scissors of Karma and Platinum Scissors of Karma, Sharing Tags, Monster Life Gems Coupons, All Surprise Boxes, Philosopher’s Books, Gachapon Tickets, Nebula Conductors, Red Leaf High Entry Keys, Maple Leaf High Special Class Key, Sengoku Class Supplementary Pass, Meso Sacks, Premium Pet Food, Shadow Style, Return of Angel Wing, All Inventory and Storage Slots.
  • The list of Cash Shop items restricted from Reward Points may be updated in the future.
  • You can also purchase items with Reward Points from the Maple Rewards Shop. To enter the Rewards Shop, first enter the Cash Shop, and then click on the “Maple Rewards Shop” button.
  • Items in the Maple Rewards Shop can only be purchased with Reward Points.
  • All items in the Maple Rewards Shop have a purchase limit per account. These purchase limits are reset at the 1st of every month.

Reward Points Limits

  • You may only earn up to 2,000 Reward Points per world per day from Party Quests, Theme Dungeons, Bosses, and Leveling Up.
  • You may only earn up to 1,000 Reward Points per world per day from Star Planet mini-games.
  • You may only earn up to 3,000 Reward Points per account per day from Party Quests, Theme Dungeons, Bosses, and Leveling Up, and Star Planet mini-games.
  • You may only earn up to 30,000 Reward Points per account per month from Party Quests, Theme Dungeons, Bosses, and Leveling Up, and Star Planet mini-games.
  • You may only earn up to 150,000 Reward Points per account per month.
  • Additional Reward Points cannot be earned if the total sum will exceed any of the limits.

New Dungeon Event

Mr. Lee World Tour Dungeon

January 7 – February 3

Requirement: Lv. 30 or above

  • Accept the [Vintage Arcade] quest from the star notifier on the left side of the game window, or from the Game Machine NPC in the Event Hall.
  • After completing the [Vintage Arcade] quest, you will receive a game coin that you can use to play the game.
  • Travel to popular tourist spots around the world.
  • As you progress through each location defeat the monsters and bosses you encounter and collect reward coins.
  • Exchange the reward coins for World Tour items from the Reward Machine in the Event Hall.
  • This is a daily quest.

New Events

Maple Rewards Event

December 17 – December 24

Requirement: Any character may participate

  • During the event period, you can accept the quest “Saving Up to 1 Reward Point at a Time” from the Event Notifier on the left side of the screen. You will receive a Wrapped Reward Bundle.
  • Keep the item in your inventory and stay in game for 30 minutes, and the Wrapped Reward Bundle will become an Open Reward Bundle. You will then receive 100 Reward Points.
  • Please note that if you log out before the time requirement, the Wrapped Reward Bundle will disappear.
  • The quest can be completed only once per day, per account

Cash Inventory Movement Event

December 17 – January 7

Requirement: Any character may participate

  • For a limited time, you will be able to transfer most Cash items between your characters within the same world!
  • Some of the amazing things you can do in this event include:
    • Sharing a Hyper Teleport Rock.
    • Easily move Cash cover items between characters.
    • Move your old beloved pets to a new character.
  • Trading the Cash items between your characters is easy! All you will need to do is follow these simple steps:
    • Enter the Cash Shop.
    • Move an eligible item you would like to move into your Cash Inventory.
    • Right click the item.
    • Click the TRANSFER button.
    • Select the recipient of the item from the drop down.
    • Click the OK button.
  • That’s all! The selected item will now appear on the other characters Cash Inventory the next time you login to that character.
  • All jobs will be able to transfer between each other but please note that Explorers will not have the option to transfer to another Explorer because they already share their Cash Inventory.
  • There will be a few restrictions on the type of items that can be transferred: EXP Coupons, Potion Pot, Shop Permits and Hired Merchants, Friendship and Couple items

Star Planet Attendance Check

December 21 – January 6

Requirement: Lv. 33 or above

  • Click the event notifier on the left side of the game window, and select the quest ‘[Attendance] Star Planet Attendance Check’.
  • Visit Star Planet and speak to NPC Pom Pom at the Star Planet Lobby.
  • Obtain 35 Star Points each day to receive an attendance stamp.
  • You can check the participation and progress by speaking to NPC Pom Pom in Star Planet, or by clicking the attendance notifier on the left side of the game window. The attendance notifier is only available in Star Planet.
  • Click “Complete” on the attendance UI to receive the day’s reward.
  • This event can only be completed once per account.

Rewards:

  • Day 1 – 2x EXP Time Ticket: Use to exchange an EXP coupon that you obtained on Star Planet for a coupon with doubled duration. Untradeable, 7 day duration.
  • Day 2 – Star Planet Atmospheric Effect 1 x3 Coupon: Every character in the map receives ATT/M. ATT +30 for 30 minutes, untradeable, 7 day duration
  • Day 3 – 2x EXP Time Ticket (5): Untradeable, 7 day duration.
  • Day 4 – Star Planet Atmospheric Effect 2 x3 Coupon: Every character in the map receives ATT/M. ATT +40 for 30 minutes, Speed +10 for 30 minutes, untradeable, 7 day duration
  • Day 5 – Star Planet Word Bubble Ring Coupon: Untradeable, coupon has 60 day duration. Use to receive a 60 day Star Planet Word Bubble Ring.
  • Day 6 – Double Box: Untradeable, 7 day duration
    • Select between 2x EXP Time Ticket and Star Planet Atmospheric Effect 2. This box will give you double the amount.
  • Day 7 – Spell Trace (100)

Gameplay

  • Accept the quest ‘[Star World] Doorway to the Night Sky’ from the star notifier on the left side of the game window.
  • You will be transported to the Event Hall where you can travel through the Star World Gate.
  • Star World is made up of four nations–Springtean, Summeron, Autumist, and Winterisia.
  • Complete constellation quests and daily quests for the king and queen of each nation to receive Star World Coins!
  • As you complete the constellation quests, items become available for purchase with Star World Coins in Stellar’s Star Light Shop.
  • Complete daily quests and the monsters in those areas can drop a Star World Gift Box.

Cosmos Knockout

Overview

  • During his interstellar travel, a Grey has unfortunately lost his way home and got trapped in the Maple World. What’s worse, his Cosmos Laboratory has been swarmed by countless Mad Cosmos Destroyers, who have turned the facility into a giant pinball machine! Defeat these monsters and help the Grey find the way home!
  • A mixture of jump quests, high-speed movement, and intense fighting, Cosmos Knockout offers an exciting and unique event dungeon – The whole map is a huge pinball table, and you are the pinball.

Gameplay

  • Talk to NPC “The Lost Grey” in the Event Hall to learn about the event, or select the quest from the star event notifier on the left side of the game window. Select “Can I start Cosmos Knockout” to start the event dungeon.
  • Once inside the event dungeon, you need to jump around as a pinball, collect various item rewards as you see them, and kill monsters along the way. If you fall to the bottom, the event dungeon will end.
  • You start the dungeon on the Universal Cannon. You can press the sit key next to the cannon to launch again.
  • Press the arrow keys to adjust the angle of your shot.
  • Press the space bar to adjust the power of the shot, and press it again to fire.
  • Stepping on certain areas will launch you across the map.
  • Defeat all the mobs inside the map and a boss will spawn; defeat the boss to complete the event dungeon.
  • Use the Giant Potions found on the map to assist in defeating the mobs.

Cosmos Knockout Attendance

  • Entering the event dungeon on a daily basis will accumulate your Cosmos Knockout attendance, and will ultimately reward you with a special chair and medal.
  • Attendance status can be checked by talking to the Lost Grey.

  • Once you enter Happyville you will be able to help Torr finds his antlers, knit socks with Mrs. Claus, and decorate Christmas trees for some awesome screen shots and so much more!

  • Talk to Cliff in Happyville to begin this quest.
  • Collect Rascal Snowpieces from monsters and return them to Cliff.
  • Reward: Cliff’s Special Potion (3): Transforms a player into a completely different state for one hour when consumed. Once transformed, you can enter the fireplace of the house behind Cliff to visit Santa’s Shop!
