MapleStory Lara (메이플스토리 라라) is one of MapleStory’s Anima Magicians who specializes in using a Wand as her primary weapon and an Ornament as her secondary weapon. Lara’s journey begins when she stumbles upon a mysterious bell, discovering that she is destined to make it ring and fulfill her village’s calling. During her quest, Lara visits a village on the moon of Narin, where she meets a ‘street wolf’ named Gri. Gri initially aims to steal the bell from her but is soon captivated by her innocent happiness and becomes her friend. Together, they uncover the bell’s mysteries and help the villagers drive away a greedy Magistrate. Their adventure leads them to confront a woman named Hannah, who uses a cursed object to steal happy memories from the town. After defeating Hannah, Lara sets out for Maple World to learn more about the bell and its creators, known as the Sinners. - Consistent Damage Output: Despite needing to dodge boss mechanics, Lara can maintain decent damage due to her placed skills continuing to attack even while she moves. This is particularly useful in boss fights with frequent attacks or full-map attacks (FMAs).
- Survivability Tools: Lara possesses various survival skills, including a damage reduction iframe, the normal mage node iframe, a teleport skill, and Anima Lotus, which provides an extra life in late-game bosses.
- Quick Burst Setup: Her burst damage is easy and fast to set up, making it less likely to miss out on damage during boss invulnerability phases or movement-heavy fights.
- Teleport Utility: Lara can use unconstrained veins as a teleport point, which is useful for dodging specific mechanics in boss fights, such as crossing lasers in Lotus phase 1.

- Visual Obstruction: The visual effects of Lara’s skills can sometimes obscure boss mechanics or cues, making it harder to avoid attacks, especially in complex fights like Lotus phase 3 or Verus Hilla.

Dragon Veins are strongly imbued with one of the natural elements, and will hold the power of either the river, wind, or sun. Use Dragon Vein skills to harness the power of those Dragon Veins. Dragon Veins cannot be found in towns. Can be toggled On/Off.
Level 1: Discover Dragon Veins in Lara’s surroundings. A max of 10 dragon vein(s) can be found on the map. When moving away from the Dragon Veins, they will disappear, starting with those farthest away. Cooldown: 5 sec.
Dragon Vein Eruption
Consumes the surrounding Dragon Veins to cause the power dormant in the Dragon Veins to erupt. Land spirits that match the Dragon Veins’ attributes will remain and frolic in the area of eruption. If an Eruption or Absorption skill of the same attribute is activated during an Eruption skill, the previously activated Eruption skill will end. Eruption skills prioritize unconstrained Dragon Veins. If there are no unconstrained Dragon Veins, the nearest Dragon Vein will be consumed first. Mountain Seeds
Plant seeds that grow a Mountain Spirits, who then attack nearby enemies and, if there is an active Eruption skill of any attribute within a certain range, will push enemies towards the Eruption skill. You will not take damage while using Mountain Seeds, even when attacking enemies with attack reflection. Use Mountain Seeds while casting Dragon Vein Eruption to plant seeds without the casting motion, or use with the down arrow key to plant all the seeds at once. Big Stretch prioritizes normal Dragon Veins for consumption over unconstrained Dragon Veins, and is unaffected by attack reflection. Applies 100% Knockback Resistance during casting motion.
Level (1 → 25 → 30): MP Cost: 500. Awaken 5 Dragon Vein(s) within a certain range around another Dragon Vein. Each awakened Dragon Vein creates 7 intangible force(s). Intangible Force Damage: (624% → 1200% → 1320%), Number of Attacks: 5. If several intangible forces hit a single enemy, Final Damage for the second force and onwards: -30%. Cooldown: 60 sec. Winding Mountain Ridge
[Active Skill] Calls forth quirky Mountain Spirits who love to run. They’ll then run amok throughout the area, attacking everything they bump into. If there are any boss monsters nearby, the Mountain Spirits will go after them first. The Mountain Spirits are unaffected by attack reflection. If there is no platform in the area for them to spring forth from, they can’t be summoned in that area.
Level (1 → 25 → 30): MP Cost: 500. Summons 3 group(s) of Mountain Spirits within a certain range. Once summoned, they periodically run at enemies to attack. Group Summon Duration: 30 sec. Max Enemies Hit: 6, Damage: (312% → 600% → 660%), Number of Attacks: 4. Running into enemies decreases running speed. Max Number of Attacks: 20 per group. Cooldown: 60 sec.
