MapleStory Kain (메이플스토리 카인) is a Nova Bowman who has replaced Beast Tamer in the Nova category. He wields a Whispershot as his primary weapon and a Weapon Belt as his secondary weapon. As a top hitman for the Drakas, a mercenary group in Toolen City, Kain strives to repay his debts and recover memories stolen from him. The Drakas, led by Luska and supported by the psychiatrist Dr. Y, use powerful Malice Stones to enhance their powers and maintain control. During his missions, Kain encounters the Chameleon Siblings, Romina and Royce, and learns of internal conflicts within the Drakas. He discovers Luska’s true role and the dark reality behind the Drakas’ operations. The revelation of Luska’s betrayal and the truth about Kain’s past, including his connection to the Black Nova cult, forces him to confront his own identity and the nature of Malice. Kain eventually uncovers the full extent of Luska’s manipulation and the role of Malice Stones, leading him to Maple World to seek answers and a new path forward. Despite facing numerous challenges, Kain’s journey involves reconciling his past with his present and dealing with the remnants of his former life and Dr. Y’s schemes.
