Master of Apocalypse is a crucial dungeon in King Arthur Legends Rise where players farm relic skill tomes to enhance their heroes’ relic abilities. Unlocked after completing Hard Storyline Chapter 5-7, this dungeon is located within the Sealed Temple under the Restricted Area. It offers relic skill tomes of varying element (Flame, Frost, and Storm) and rarities (Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary) based on the difficulty level cleared, with higher rarities linked to corresponding hero types (e.g., Rare relic skill tomes for Rare heroes). Players receive 5 keys daily to raid either the Master of Death (Hero Skill Level Up) or the Master of Apocalypse (Relic Skill Level Up). The formidable boss, Crom Cruach, who first appears in Main Story Chapter 10-7, guards this dungeon, adding to its challenge and reward.

How to defeat Crom Cruach?

  • Crom Cruach is the boss that guards the Master of Apocalypse dungeon. Unlike other mini bosses, it has 2 phases where the first phase you encounter is the main body where it is capable of summoning 2 Worm Larva to assist him in battle, while the second phase you encounter is the main body along with his 2 other body parts.
  • Boss Wave 1 Part 1 (Freeing your heroes): In the first phase, the boss acts first, regardless of your heroes’ speed, by instantly applying a negative effect that removes three random heroes from the battle. To counter this crowd control, it’s ideal to bring either Guinevere or Baudwin, as they can negate this effect. If you don’t have these heroes, your remaining hero will need to deal enough damage to reach the first HP milestone of the boss’s health bar, which will free one of the captured heroes. It’s crucial that your last standing hero is a strong damage dealer, capable of consistently hitting each HP milestone to free the others. There are four milestones in total, and clearing each one will bring back one of the three removed heroes, while the last milestone activates the boss charge attack which will be discussed in Part 2.
  • Boss Wave 1 Part 2 (Charge Attack): Upon reaching the final HP milestone of the boss’s health bar, Crom Cruach will enter a two-turn Charge Attack after taking its next turn. If you fail to defeat the boss within these two turns, it will unleash a devastating attack that wipes out your entire team, regardless of their defensive stats. To counter this, it’s highly recommended to bring debuff-focused heroes like Morgan, who can apply effects such as Defense Decrease and Damage Taken Increase. These debuffs will significantly amplify your damage dealers’ output, allowing them to eliminate the boss before it has a chance to retaliate.
  • Boss Wave 2 – Part 1 (Main Body vs. Body Parts): If your damage dealer is powerful enough to reduce the boss’s health to 50% within two turns, there’s no need to focus on the body parts (Crom Cruach’s Jaw and Eyes). However, if your team lacks the firepower to achieve this, prioritize defeating the body parts first. Leaving them alive can result in permanent [Abnormal Status] effects being inflicted on your heroes for the remainder of the battle, making it significantly harder to endure the lengthy fight. Recommended damage dealers are Bedivere and Iweret.
  • Boss Wave 2 – Part 2 (Charge Attack): When the boss’s HP drops below the 50% threshold and it takes its turn, it will enter Charge Attack mode. To prevent this devastating attack, you must land at least 10 hits on the boss during this phase. Heroes capable of performing multi-hit attacks, such as Rosier or Tristan, are highly recommended for this task. Failing to cancel the Charge Attack will result in the boss wiping out your entire team!

  • Punitive Tail: Attacks 1 enemy. Damage: 120% ATK. 50% chance to reduce the target’s Attack Gauge by 30%.
  • Death by Cracked Shell: Attacks all enemies. Damage: 30% ATK. 50% chance to inflict [Fear] for 2 turns. Summon: Worm Larva x2]. Up to [Attack Gauge Recharge: 30%] in proportion to number of enemies: 3 enemies or more: [Attack Gauge Recharge: 30%], 2 enemies: [Attack Gauge Recharge: 20%], 1 enemy [Attack Gauge Recharge: 10%].
  • Searing Breath: Attacks all enemies 2 times. Total Damage: 200% ATK + 40% DEF. Trigger [Burn Explosion]. Attack all allies except yourself. Total Damage: 30% of target’s Max HP.
  • Sting of Destruction: Attacks 2 random enemies. Total Damage: 200% ATK. Trigger [Poison Explosion]
  • Concentrated Death: Charge Attack (must be charged for 2 turns). Attacks all enemies. Damage: 1000% ATK.
  • Indigestion: Inflicts [Return to Battle] on 1 random enemy.
  • Toughest Molt (Passive): At the start of battle: Gain [Abnormal Status Immunity] and [DoT Immunity].
  • Royal Wrath (Passive): After an aly dies: Gain [Attack Increase II] for 7 turns. 100% chance to inflict [Effect Resistance Decrease II] on all enemies for 2 turns.
  • Endless Ordeals (Passive): When attacking: 70% chance to increase the duration of [DoT] by 1 turn.

Crom Cruach (Main Body – Wave 2)

  • Barbed Tail: Attacks all enemies. Damage: 55% ATK. 70% chance to inflict [Effect Resistance Decrease] for 2 turns.
  • Engulfing Flames: Attacks all enemies. Damage: 45% ATK. 70% chance to inflict [Burn] for 2 turns. Change weather to Day & Heat.
  • Invading Poison Fog: Attacks all enemies. Damage: 50% ATK. 70% chance to inflict [Poison] for 2 turns. Change the weather to Night & Rain.
  • Hellstar in the Night: Attacks all enemies. Damage: 55% ATK. 70% chance to inflict [Effect Resistance Decrease] for 2 turns. Change the weather to Night.
  • Dragonhead Hammer: Attacks all enemies 2 times. Total Damage: 105% ATK. 20% chance to inflict [Confusion] for 1 turn.
  • Accumulated Anger: Charges Attack Gauge by 100%. Remove all [Abnormal Status Immunity].
  • Lump of Flames: Charge Attack (must be charged for 2 turns). Attacks 1 enemy. Damage: 60% ATK. 90% chance to inflict [Burn] for 2 turns. Gain [Foreseen Doom] for 0 turns.
  • Lump of Darkness: Charge Attack (must be charged for 2 turns). Attacks 1 enemy. Damage: 60% ATK. 90% chance to inflict [Poison] for 2 turns. Gain [Abnormal Status Immunity]. Gain [Foreseen Doom] for 0 turns.
  • Evil Shudder: Attacks all enemies. Damage: 120% ATK. Trigger [DoT Explosion].
  • Toughest Molt (Passive): At the start of battle: Gain [Abnormal Status Immunity].
  • The Source of Vanishing Strength (Passive): After an ally dies: Attack yourself. Total Damage: 5% of Max HP.
  • Terrifying Ancient Dragon (Passive): When attacking: 60% chance to inflict [Fear] on 1 random enemy for 2 turns.

Left Eye

  • Engulfing Flames: Attacks all enemies. Damage: 50% ATK. trigger [Buff Explosion]. Gain [Attack Increase] for 2 turns.
  • Alluring Gaze: 30% chance to inflict [Brainwash] on all enemies for the rest of the battle. Remove all [Abnormal Status] from [Single Enemy].
  • Scattering Dark Clouds (Passive): After dying: Change the weather to Day. Removes all [Abnormal Status] from all enemies.
