Support heroes who can provide AoE heal and Defense Increase buff helps your team withstand significant damage dealt by Aldri in the prolonged battle. DOT effects deal damage based on the enemy’s maximum HP and include effects like Burn, Chill, Bleed, Shock, Poison, Scorch, and Lightning Strike. Otherwise, if you have strong damage dealers who has Piercing ability (ignore enemy defense), then you can opt for this strategy to quickly deal instant damage rather than waiting for enemy to take their turn for the DoT to deal damage.

How to defeat Aldri?
- Recovery Disruption: Aldri’s hibernation ends with a powerful self-heal, making him a formidable foe if left unchecked. To counter this, bring a debuffer like Accolon to apply a Recovery Disruption effect. Ensure your hero’s Effect Accuracy is high enough to overcome Aldri’s Effect Resistance and effectively prevent his healing.
- Ignore Defense: Aldri’s ability to boost his Defense, coupled with his unique passive skill that scales Defense with incoming damage, makes him increasingly difficult to defeat as his health dwindles. To cut through this fortified defense, deploy a damage dealer with Piercing abilities like Bedivere. Pairing them with Piercing banners further amplifies their ability to ignore Aldri’s defense, enabling massive damage output.
- DoT Damage: If you lack heroes with Piercing abilities, lean on debuffers who excel in dealing Damage Over Time (DoT). Heroes like Rosier, Anguish, and Lancelot are exceptional choices for applying DoT effects that scale with Enemy Max HP. DoT bypasses Aldri’s defense entirely, making it a strategic way to whittle him down, especially in higher difficulty battles.

- Hibernate: Charge Attack must be charged for 2 turns. Recovery Rate Proportional to Lost HP. Gain [Defense Increase II] for 3 turns.
