Vught Bio
Born to a peasant family, Vught joined the Imperial soldiery as soon as he was old enough to lift an imperial blade. Yet Vught grew to hate the Imperial regiment to which he was attached, his commanders, and the rigid social hierarchy within the Hirschbuck military that he soon suspected was more geared towards pacifying the Empire’s own citizens than contending with any outside force. Quick to disobey what he saw as pointless rules, Vught soon found himself facing an increasingly strict set of military punishments, culminating in the loss of his left hand and a desertion into a life of piracy. He managed to secure the services of a hacksaw surgeon who attached a rather useful hook in its place. The legend of the hook pirate was thus born.
