Karena Review
Karena is an Epic Offense Wood affinity hero from the Dragonscale Marsh faction in Awaken Chaos Era. She has the ability to inflict Increased Damage Taken to the enemy, which allows her allies to do more damage to the target! Apart from that, she offers Unhealable Debuff to prevent enemies from healing themselves, which is useful for tackling Wrathful Flood on Stage 10~11. Karena has a cleansing ability, which is beneficial in removing Stun debuff placed by the Queen of Tides boss. She has a unique trait that allows her to perform bonus attacks on all of her abilities, which allows her to remove positive effects from enemies especially for Queen of Tides to prevent her from triggering those Water Bombs that can strip away all of the buffs placed on your hero! Overall, she is a decent Epic hero to support early-mid game players in PvE dungeons but not much for Arena.

Dragon’s Heritage (Trait → Ascension 5)
On active attacks, if the target’s Attack is the highest on both teams, gains a 30% bonus Attack and launches a bonus attack with the Basic ability. (Ascension → When attacked. If the attacker’s Attack is the highest on both teams, reduces damage received by 30% and launches a bonus attack with the Basic ability.)
Winged Bolt (Basic)
Deals 120% damage to 1 enemy, with a 100% chance to remove 1 positive effect on them. If the enemy has no positive effects, applies Random Stats Down to them for 2 turns.
Level 2: Damage +10%.
Level 3: +25% chance to trigger.
Level 4: Damage +10%.
Level 5: +25% chance to trigger.
Random Stats Down: Applies a random negative effect to reduce one of the following stats: Defense, Attack, Critical Rate, Critical Damage, Accuracy, Focus, and Resistance.
Triple Shot (Special, Cooldown: 3 turns)
Deals 195% damage to 1 enemy and removes 1 negative effect on this hero. If this hero has no negative effects, randomly removes 1 negative effect from 1 ally.
Level 2: Damage +15%.
Level 3: Damage +15%.
Level 4: Ability cooldown is reduced by 1 turn.
Level 5: Damage +15%.
Shadow Projectile (Ultimate, Cooldown: 3 turns)
Deals 260% damage to an enemy and applies Unhealable and Increased Damage Taken for 2 turns.

Karena’s path in life was shaped by her remarkable abilities and her unyielding determination. She was an exceptional archer, wielding a curvy bow with unparalleled skill. Her arrows always found their mark, guided by an otherworldly intuition that seemed to flow through her veins. To protect herself, she donned a bluish-purple-themed dress and a cloak, adorned with intricate patterns reminiscent of dragon scales. Her attire was crafted with a combination of cloth and supple leather armor, providing both flexibility and protection.
However, it was Karena’s necklace that held the true source of her power. The necklace, a cherished heirloom passed down through generations, contained a fragment of an ancient dragon’s scale. This precious artifact enhanced her innate abilities and bestowed upon her a deep connection to her draconic heritage.
Karena’s skills showcased her prowess on the battlefield. With her trait, Dragon’s Heritage, she could tap into the latent power within her when she engaged in combat. If her opponent possessed the highest attack on both teams, she would gain a 30% attack boost and launch a devastating bonus attack. Conversely, when under attack from an opponent with the highest attack, Karena would reduce the damage received by 30% and retaliate with a bonus attack of her own.
Her signature ability, Winged Bolt, allowed her to unleash a powerful shot from her bow. This shot not only dealt considerable damage to her target but also had a chance to strip away any positive effects they had. If the enemy was already devoid of positive effects, Karena’s arrows would inflict Random Stats Down, imposing various negative effects on her foes, such as reduced defense, attack, critical rate, critical damage, accuracy, focus, or resistance.
Triple Shot was Karena’s special ability, enabling her to rain down three precise arrows upon a single enemy. In addition to dealing significant damage, this attack had the added benefit of removing negative effects from Karena herself. If she was unburdened by such ailments, she would selflessly use her skill to cleanse a negative effect from one of her allies, offering support and aid in times of need.
When the situation called for her most potent attack, Karena would unleash her ultimate ability, Shadow Projectile. With a single shot, she would strike an enemy with tremendous force, inflicting devastating damage. Moreover, the unfortunate target would be afflicted with Unhealable, rendering them unable to benefit from any form of healing, and Increased Damage Taken, making them susceptible to additional harm from subsequent attacks.
Karena’s journey was one of self-discovery and the constant struggle to balance her dual nature. She strove to bring harmony between the dragons and humanoids, acting as a beacon of hope and unity in a world plagued by discord.
