Alesia Bio

The newborn Alesia was blissfully unaware that her birth parents had abandoned her in the heart of Bloodbeast Jungle, yet the crisp laughter bubbling out of her delicate lips soon drew the attention of Sophia, one of the Leopard Clan’s female chiefs. Having just suffered the tragic loss of her child, the chief made the extremely bold decision to take the Alesia back to her den as her own offspring, saving the human girl from her kin’s hungry mouths. News that Sophia had taken in an unwanted human and given her Leopard milk intended for her late child caused an immediate uproar in Leopard Clan circles, particularly among the traditional ilk. To them, humans were dangerous and deceitful, fit only for hunting. But Alesia survived this stain on the Leopard Clan’s honor. In a rare display of tolerance, the Chieftain granted Alesia honorary membership thanks to Sophia’s many contributions and in recognition of her heartfelt loss. The pair were henceforth entitled to live alone, but safely, near Clan territory.

Of course, Alesia’s formal status meant little in the eyes of Clan’s peers, and she endured a childhood bereft of friends except a young Leopard named Bachelard whose circumstances much resembled her own. Unlike Alesia, the cause of Bachelard’s exclusion came from his mother, a sickly Leopard plagued by ill health in a Clan that valued strength above all else. It was a friendship forged from Bachelard and Alesia’s shared ostracism. But the pain went deeper for Alesia. She knew from a very young age she would never possess the strong claws, protective fur, or beautiful tails of her “kinspeople.” A fragile human as she was, Alesia had always struck a ridiculous sight among Leopard children, who could easily best her in any of their frequent games of swiftness and strength.
She had at least learned to put up a brave face, but much as she might want to hide her pain or guilt at Sophia’s disappointment, there was no denying an impending breaking point.

Hope came in the form of a conversation overheard between Sophia and the Clan’s Witch Master shortly after her 15th birthday. It turned out there might be a way to improve Alesia’s fragile human physique, but a dangerous one. The Witch Master described the fate of the Sorcerer Fox who, for his dalliances with the Dark, had been imprisoned somewhere within Leopard Clan territory. The powerful creature still lived and, moreover, possessed mighty spells of transformation that could strengthen even Alesia. Knowing the price of failure that would fall upon her mother’s head if the attempt was unsuccessful, Alesia decided that she must carry out the plan on her own.

Alesia revealed her mad plan to her closest and only friend, Bachelard, and the two brave souls embarked upon their most daring adventure yet—an intrusion into a forbidden zone of Bloodbeast Jungle to release the bloodthirsty Fox Sorcerer. It was a most unlikely plan. The fact it succeeded so well was a little short of a miracle. Alesia’s natural human cunning and Bachelard’s physical prowess worked perfectly to cajole even the Fox Sorcerer into granting Alesia’s wish. The transformation was quickly completed. Alesia surveyed her new body—voluptuous, beautiful, and blessed with a wonderful tail and Fox Clan ears. She soon realized another truth: Bachelard was looking at her not only with the eyes of friendship but something more.

Alesia hurried back home to her mother’s den, eager to share the good news. But she had underestimated the severity of her infraction against Jungle Law and the response. The release of the Dark-aligned sorcerer had enraged not only her Clan Chieftain but also others within Bloodbeast Jungle allied with the Leopard Clan. The Clan’s finest had already arrested her mother and were waiting to escort Alesia to a central tribunal for judgment.

Alesia immediately realized anything short of an extremely powerful forgetfulness spell would implicate Sophia in her decision. Drawing deeply upon her new powers, Alesia worked a charm upon all present. As painful as living in Bloodbeast Jungle had been, it was still Alesia’s only home and the site of all her memories, happy or sad. But logic dictated she must disappear from mind as well as sight—even from her mother’s memory. Alesia knew the spell was complete when she felt all her power drained out of her. Afterward, only Bachelard, whose emotional connection to Alesia had been reinforced with romantic intent, recalled her as anything more than a vague outline—a figure he had to meet again one day, but with a face, he could not recall.

Alesia wandered Aurelica for years before finally re-establishing herself in another place she could call home: Pirate Island. Here she could develop plenty of friends and acquaintances who, like her, were also running from something. That included the lady who would become her closest friend, fellow voluptuous dancer Flarence, who took Alesia in under her wing. In turn, Alesia came to work for Flarence as one of her main lieutenants with the island’s large intelligence-gathering network.
