NightWalker is one of MapleStory Cygnus Knights Thief/Rogue who wields claws to throw deadly razor sharp stars. NightWalker primary stat is LUK and secondary stat is DEX.

Night Walker 1st Job Skills

Lucky Seven Lucky Seven (Active)
Attacks an enemy twice with throwing-star based on LUK and uses its mastery.
LV1: -8 MP, 94% Damage.
LV20: -14 MP, 170% Damage.

Nimble Body Nimble Body (Passive)
Permanently increases Accuracy and Avoidability
LV1: +22 Accuracy, +22 Avoidability.
LV10: +220 Accuracy, +220 Avoidability.

Haste Haste (Support)
Temporarily improve party member’s Speed, and Jump.
LV1: -10 MP, +2% Speed, +1% Jump, Lasts 10 sec.
LV20: -25 MP, +40% Speed, +20% Jump, Lasts 200 sec.

Dark Sight Dark Sight (Supportive)
Temporarily hide yourself from enemy, therefore won’t receive damage if you walk pass them. However, you will be vulnerable against enemy magic attack! Higher skill level allows you to move in Dark Sight faster. You can’t attack enemy while in Dark Sight and you can deactivate Dark Sight by pressing ATTACK skill.
LV1: -23 MP, Lasts 20 sec.
LV10: -5 MP, Lasts 200 sec.

Darkness Darkness
Summons Darkness to attack enemies you are attacking.
LV1: -11 MP, 66% Damage, Lasts 10 sec.
LV10: -20 MP, 120% Damage, Lasts 200 sec.

Night Walker 1st Job Skill Build: Everything maxed except Darkness!
1. Add 1 SP into Lucky Seven.
2. Max Haste, Lucky Seven, Nimble Body and Dark Sight.
3. Dump remaining SP into Darkness.

Explanation:
Lucky Seven is a powerful 1v1 attacking skill in 1st Job, but killing monsters that way is pretty slow. Therefore, max Haste first to boost your movement and jump speed to acquire new target quickly for your next kill. Lucky Seven is a very special skill compared to other skill as it has its own independent mastery skill. If you buff yourself with Attack Potions or wear with massive LUK equipment, you can kill higher level monsters for better EXP rate.

Permanently increases critical hit rate and minimum critical damage.

Claw Booster Claw Booster (Supportive)
[REQUIRE] LV5 Claw Mastery.
Temporarily doubles attack speed of your claw.

Flash Jump Flash Jump (Active)
Allows you to perform double jump. The higher the skill level, the further you jump. Push the Jump Key to activate.
LV1: -40 MP, jumps a certain distance.
LV10: -22 MP, jumps a certain distance.

Vampire Vampire (Active)
Attacks multiple enemies 4 times and replenish your HP by absorbing some damage dealt against enemies. The most you can absorb is monster’s MaxHP or half of your MaxHP.
LV1: -12 MP, 71% Damage, Hits 3 Enemies, Recovers 1% damage as HP.
LV20: -24 MP, 90% Damage, Hits 6 Enemies, Recovers 5% damage as HP.

Physical Training Physical Training (Passive)
Permanently increases Luck and Dexterity.
LV1: +3 LUK, +3 DEX.
LV10: +30 LUK, +30 DEX.

Shuriken Burst Shuriken Burst (Supportive)
Attack 4 enemies by throwing an explosive star that cost 2 throwing-stars.
LV1: -12 MP, 206% Damage.
LV20: -18 MP, 320% Damage.

Wind Talisman Gust Charm (Active)
Knock-back 4 enemies 350 pixels away with a powerful wind that costs 2 throwing-stars.
LV1: -15, 205% Damage.
LV20: -21, 281% Damage.

1. Add 1 SP into Shuriken Burst and Flash Jump.

Night Walker 3rd Job Skills

Shadow Partner Shadow Partner (Supportive)
Temporarily summons a doppelganger who mimics every attack you do but this costs you double as well in terms of throwing-stars and MP and it deals a portion of original skill’s damage.
LV1: -40 MP, 13% Shadow Damage, Lasts 60 sec.
LV20: -64 MP, 70% Shadow Damage, Lasts 180 sec.

Shadow Web Shadow Web (Active)
Has a chance to bind 6 enemies in a sticky web which can only be released if timer is up or upon hit. The web immobilizes enemies and also deals damage overtime every second similarly to Poison skill.
LV1: -10 MP, 114% Damage, 44% Bind Chance, 64% Damage Over Time, Lasts 5 sec.
LV10: -25 MP, 158% Damage, 80% Bind Chance, 100% Damage Over Time, Lasts 8 sec.

Venom Venom (Passive)
[NOTE] Complete Level 100 Night Walker Quest to unlock this skill.
Has a chance to temporarily poisoned enemies when you hit them. Poison deals damage over time every second, does not stack with one another and only brings their health to 1 HP at most.
LV1: 11% Poison Chance, 52% Damage Over Time, Lasts 3 sec.
LV20: 30% Poison Chance, 90% Damage Over Time, Lasts 6 sec.

Quad Star Quad Star (Active)
[NOTE] Complete Level 90 Night Walker Quest to unlock this skill.
Attack enemies 4 times with 4 throwing-stars.
LV1: -11 MP, 177% Damage.
LV20: -21 MP, 253% Damage.

Poison Bomb Poison Bomb (Active)
Throw a bomb that temporarily fill an area with poisonous cloud whereby any monsters within it will continuously take damage. The poison damage is dealt every second once infected by poison cloud.
LV1: -21 MP, 83% Explosion Damage. 62% Poison Damage.
LV1: Poison Cloud lasts 4 sec. Poison Effect lasts 4 sec.
LV30: -50 MP, 170% Explosion Damage. 120% Poison Damage.
LV30: Poison Cloud lasts 40 sec. Poison Effect lasts 10 sec.

Shadow Stars Shadow Stars (Active)
Temporarily consume no throwing-stars by sacrificing a set of stars.
LV1: -6 MP, Consume 190 stars. Lasts 108 sec.

Shade Split Shade Splitter (Active)
Attack 6 enemies twice with shadow clones but costs 3 throwing-stars.
LV1: -16 MP, 165% Damage.

Radical Darkness Enveloping Darkness (Passive)
Permanently increase maximum HP, status effect and elemental resistance.
LV1: +1% Max HP, +5% Resistance.
LV20: +20% Max HP, +30% Resistance.

Dark Flare Dark Flare (Supportive)
[NOTE] Complete Level 110 Night Walker Quest to unlock this skill.
Temporarily summons Dark Lord to reflect enemy damage if you and/or party member are within area of Dark Flare Star. Not more than half of target’s HP can be reflected.
LV1: -100 MP, Reflects 1300% Damage, Lasts 60 sec. 60 sec cooldown.

Adrenaline Alchemic Adrenaline (Passive)
Permanently improves effectiveness of potions and healing items but does not apply to percent-based items like Elixirs. Example: A HP Potion that used to replenish 100 HP will now replenish 170 HP (additional 70 HP at max level). This also applies to time-based buff potions such as Onyx Apple (Temporary Boosting Weapon Attack)
LV1: +16% Potion Effectiveness.
LV10: +70% Recovery Effectiveness.

Night Walker 3rd Job Skill Build: Everything maxed except Shadow Web.
1. Add 1 SP into Shadow Partner.
2. Max Shadow Stars, Shadow Partner.
3. Cap Shadow Splitter at Level 11.
4. Save SP until Level 90 to Max Quad Star (Level 90 Skill Quest)
5. Max Shadow Splitter and add 1 SP into Enveloping Darkness.
6. Save SP until Level 100 to Max Venom (Level 100 Skill Quest)
7. Max Enveloping Darkness, Alchemic Adrenaline, Dark Flare (Level 110 Skill Quest)
8. Max Poison Bomb. No SP added into Shadow Web.

Explanation:
Shadow Web is kinda useless against enemies that can be killed in 1-2 hits. It’s usually use to bind many tough enemies at their position but this web will be instantly broken upon attacked by you or party members which makes it not so useful unless you are just spamming Quad Star against 1 enemy at a time. Therefore, no SP added into Shadow Web.

NIGHT WALKER QUESTS

[SKILL QUEST] Quad Star
Talk to Nienheart (Nineheart) after reaching Level 90. He instructs you to learn a new skill from Icarut Eckhart (Night Walker Job Instructor). He asks you to defeat a boss in 3rd Drill Hall and retrieve the item to prove your worthiness. Upon returning the item to her, he teaches you Quad Star skill. This skill is superb against bosses or one-to-one enemy.

[SKILL QUEST] Venom
Talk to Nienheart (Nineheart) at Ereve after reaching Level 100. He instructs you to learn a new skill from Icarut Eckhart (Night Walker Job Instructor). He asks you to defeat a boss Pianus in 4th Drill Hall and retrieve an item to prove you worthiness. Upon returning the item to him, he teaches you Venom skill.

[SKILL QUEST] Dark Flare
Talk to Nienheart (Nineheart) at Ereve after reaching Level 110. He will instruct you to kill Thanatos at Ludibrium Clocktower. After completing this, you will be taught Dark Flare skill.

MapleStory Wind Archer Skill Build Guide (Revamp 2013)

MapleStory Wind Archer (Wind Breaker) Cygnus Knights is second in line to receive skills revamp from KMS (Korea MapleStory) on 7th February 2013 with this [kMSt] v.1.2.471 – Wind Archer Reborn! patch. Wind Archer can now level up as high as the rest of the classes and able to utilize 4th Job Skills and Hyper Skills. They do not require any Mastery Book to unlock their skills.

Wind Archer Beginner Skills

Elemental Slash (Active)
Attack 3 enemies 1 time with 190% damage.

Journey Home (Active)
Return to Empress using Shinsoo’s power. Cooldown 30 minutes.

Elemental Harmony
Gain 1 DEX (Dexterity) every 2 character level. (Example: Level 50 gains +25 DEX).

Elemental Expert (Toggle)
Allows you to toggle on/off element attribute from attack so you can deal full damage against strong/weak element enemies. This is unlock after 4th Job Advancement.

Elemental Shift (Active)
Allows you to leap forward while in mid-air by pressing Jump Key.

Cygnus Blessing (Link Skill)
Increase abnormal status and elemental resistance by 5% (10% for level 2). If other Cygnus jobs exist within your account, you can stack this Link Skill up to 5 times, but the extra ones will have a reduced effect.

Arrow Breeze (Active)
Attack 5 enemies 3 times in front of you.
LV20: 120% Damage.

Wind Walk (Active + Passive)
Activate Wind Walk to walk into monster without collision. Elemental Shift can be use during Wind Walk. Also passively increase your movement speed and jump.
LV15: +35 speed, +15 jump, +20 maximum speed.

Wind Elemental (Supportive)
Summons a green wind elemental to temporarily increase damage.
LV10: +10% Damage for 180 seconds.

Wind Whisperer (Passive)
Temporarily increase weapon attack, accuracy, avoid and and range.
LV20: +20 Weapon Attack, +40 Accuracy Avoid, +160 Attack Range.

Bow Booster (Supportive)
[REQUIRE] LV5 Bow Mastery.
Temporarily reduce regular and skill attack delay.
LV10: Lasts 200 sec.

Sylph’s Aid (Supportive)
Temporarily increases weapon attack and critical rate. While this buff is active, your attacks does not consume any arrows.

Fairy Turn (Active)
Attack 6 enemies 2 times while pushing them away with your fairy cloak.

Wind Archer 3rd Job Skills

Arrow Shower (Active)
Attack 6 enemies 2 times within the shower area as long as the skill key is held down. You can move the shower area using arrow keys within 350 range. This skill cannot activate Trifling Wind nor Storm Bringer.
LV20: 165% Damage.

Pinpoint Pierce (Active)
Attack 1 enemy 2 times and debuff them so they will receive 20% extra damage.
LV20: 340% Damage.

Albatross (Supportive)
Temporarily increases weapon attack, Max HP, Critical Rate and attack speed.
LV20: +20 Weapon Attack, +1500 Max HP, +10% Critical Rate for 200 sec.

Emerald Flower (Supportive)
Summons a green gemstone flower that temporarily reduces nearby enemy’s movement speed and seduce them with its fragrance. Seduce causes an enemy to lose control by ordering them to move randomly.
LV10: Summon has 20000 HP and lasts 200 sec.

Trifling Wind II (Passive)
[REQUIRE] Max Trifling Wind I.
Enhances Trifling Wind.
LV20: 30% chance to shoot 4 spirit arrows that deals 215% Damage AND 10% chance to enhance those spirit arrows damage up to 270%.

Featheriness (Passive)
Has a chance to ignore enemy damage when they hit you. Also increases resistance against elements and states.
LV20: 20% chance to ignore enemy damage, +10% Resistance.

Wind Evasion (Passive)
Permanently increases evasion rate and weapon magic defense. If you successfully evade an enemy attack, you will temporarily gain additional weapon attack.
LV20: +30% Evasion, +1000 Defense. +15 Weapon Attack for 5 seconds.

Attack 15 enemies 15 times with 400% damage and each enemy will gain a debuff that deals 200% damage continuously. There is a cooldown of 90 seconds.

Guardians Glory (Level 200)
Temporarily increase damage by 10% and maximum damage by 5,000,000 for 60 seconds. This effect only applies to Knights of Cygnus in the party. Cooldown 120 seconds.

Blaze Wizard (Flame Wizard) is a MapleStory Cygnus Knight Magician Class who wields wand or staff to cast magic spells. Primary Stat is INT and Secondary Stat is LUK. [NOTE] MapleSEA refer this class as Flame Wizard whereas GMS (Global MapleStory) refers this as Blaze Wizard.

Explanation:
Magic Claw will be your primary attacking skill as a 1st Job Blaze Wizard. Use it to claw multiple enemies who are in front of you or between obstacles. Next, max MP Boost, Magic Armor (for more defense) and Magic Guard (protect your health by displacing damage from HP to MP). Flame is not required to unlock any skills nor useful for training, therefore will not be max.

Talk to Nienheart at Ereve after reaching Level 110. He will instruct you to kill Thanatos at Ludibrium Clocktower. After completing this, you will be taught Teleport Mastery skill.

After that, get Double Jump to speed up travel further and increase the supportive skill duration for Bow Booster and Soul Arrow. Next, max Final Attack and Wind Walk for secondary additional damage.

Max Eagle Eye first so you can enjoy high damage with Wind Piercing which helps replenish your health at the same time. Some training ground have multiple platforms, and Arrow Rain skill excels in dealing with this situation.

MapleStory Striker Skill Build Guide (Revamp 2013)

MapleStory Thunder Breaker (Striker) is one of Cygnus Knights Pirate to be the first to receive skills revamp from KMS (Korea MapleStory) with Level 120 cap removed. Strikers can now level up to Level 250 and able to utilize 4th Job Skills and Hyper Skills. They do not require any Mastery Book to unlock and most active skills can be chained/combo with another to execute them without any skill delay.

Game-Related Information:
1. Maximum level of Striker is now 200 and job advancements are as follows:
1st – 10 / 2nd – 30 / 3rd – 60 / 4th – 100
2. Changes regarding SP and AP will be made to existing Strikers
3. Strikers wont be able to do some Cygnus-only quests
4. Ultimate Adventurers creation has been restricted

Striker Chain Restrictions
1. All active attacking skills cannot chain to itself.
2. Lightning Assaulter can only be chained with Ascend.
3. Lightning Anchor cannot chain with Flash.

Striker Beginner Skills

Elemental Slash (Active)
Attack 3 enemies 1 time with 190% damage.

Journey Home (Active)
Return to Empress using Shinsoo’s power. Cooldown 30 minutes.

Elemental Harmony
Gain 1 STR (Strength) every 2 character level. (Example: Level 50 gains +25 STR).

Elemental Expert (Toggle)
Allows you to toggle on/off lightning attribute from attack so you can deal full damage against strong/weak lightning enemies. This is unlock after 4th Job Advancement.

Elemental Shift (Active)
Allows you to leap forward while in mid-air by pressing Jump Key.

Cygnus Blessing (Link Skill)
Increase abnormal status and elemental resistance by 5% (10% for level 2). If other Cygnus jobs exist within your account, you can stack this Link Skill up to 5 times, but the extra ones will have a reduced effect.

Summons a blue lightning elemental to temporarily enable you to gain a lightning buff at a certain activation/success rate. This buff lasts for 30 seconds. Each buff allows your attack to ignore a portion of enemy defense. You will need Lightning Mastery to stack buffs multiple times and improve its activation rate. Assuming this skill is maxed and have 3 buff stacked, you ignore 30% enemy defense (3 buffs x 10% defense ignored = 30% total defense ignored).
LV1: 47 MP, Summon lasts 90 sec. 1% Activation Rate, Ignores 1% Defense per buff.
LV10: 20 MP, Summon lasts 180 sec. 10% Activation Rate, Ignores 10% Defense per buff.

Explanation:
Somersault Kick will be your primary attacking skill as a 1st Job Thunder Breaker. Add 1 SP (Skill Point) to unlock the skill. Max Dash (speed up travelling between towns and hunting grounds) followed by Lightning (spirit to aid you in battle) and Quick Motion (increases your accuracy to hit monsters above your level with more success). Shadow Heart and HP Boost can be maxed later on since most monsters at this stage are manageable with 1-2 hit KO. HP Boost raises your Max Health Points so you will have less risk of dying in 1 hit when inflicted with powerful damage by high level monsters especially boss. Shadow Heart increases your Critical Rate so you can deal extra damage but this works best with skills that hit monsters multiple times instead of 1. The reason Lightning is maxed instead of Somersault Kick is because of 3 reasons. First, there is a skill known as Spark (3rd Job Skill) which enhances the spirit to attack more enemies. Secondly, most monsters in 1st Job can be killed in a maximum of 2 hits from Somersault Kick. Third, Lightning is kinda handy during 2nd Job since it will help you kill the remaining monsters should they have a few HP (Health) left after you execute your 2nd Job Offensive skill.

Explanation:
Tornado Uppercut is maxed instead of Corkscrew Blow is because it has lower attack delay and it can hit monsters who are located far away from you. With that convenience, it allows a more efficient training especially monsters located on different platform levels. Therefore, add 1 SP into Tornado Uppercut as it will be Thunder Breaker 2nd Job primary skill for leveling. Also add 1 SP into Energy Charge (to take advantage of the passive effects during transformation) and Energy Blast (deals high damage against monsters with lots of health). Max your damage boosting skills (Knuckle Mastery, Dark Clarity, Physical Training) and add 12 SP into Knuckle Booster to speed up your attacks. Without early Knuckle Booster, most Thunder Breaker attack feels sluggish and usually getting bump into agitated monsters if you couldn’t kill them in the first attack. Finally, max Tornado Uppercut to boost its damage and Knuckle Booster to reduce the hassle to recast it so often. Dump the remaining skill points into Energy Blast. Even if the Energy Blast isn’t max, it still does pretty awesome damage for a 2 hit kill monster whereas Tornado Uppercut would probably take twice the time compared to Energy Blast at max level.

Explanation:
Thunder Breaker 3rd Job Primary Attacking Skill will be Buccaneer Blast. However, this skill requires recharge. Therefore, add 1 SP into Shark Wave and Landlubber Blast to help with the recharging. Both of these skills have their pros and cons. Use Shark Wave when enemies are far away from you whereas Landlubber to dish out massive damage at close range. Most of the time, I would use Landlubber Blast on higher level monsters (takes 2 to 3 hits to kill) in a tightly pack area. Landlubber attacking range is 2 times shorter compared to Shark Wave and it could not affect enemies who are on a platform separated even if they are on the same level/height as you.

MapleStory Dawn Warrior Skill Build Guide

MapleStory Dawn Warrior (Soul Master) is a Cygnus Knight Warrior Class who specializes in both 1 handed and 2 handed swords. They are still able to wield other warrior weapons such as Polearm, Spear, Axe, Blunt Weapons but will deal unstable damage due to lack of Weapon Mastery in those fields. Primary Stat is STR (Strength), therefore, channel all of your AP (Ability Points) into STR using the Auto AP Distribution. DEX (Dexterity) isn’t required for accuracy since if you are same or higher level than the monster, you will be able to hit it them frequently with success. They reach 1st job at level 10, 2nd job at level 30 and 3rd job at level 70. [NOTE] MapleSEA refer this class as Soul Master whereas GMS (Global MapleStory) refers this as Dawn Warrior.

Explanation:
Add 1 SP (Skill Point) into Power Strike to unlock Slash Blast. Slash Blast will be your primary attacking skill as a 1st Job Dawn Warrior. Use it against mobs of monsters populated in tight corner or platform to maximize the leveling effectiveness. Power Strike will not be required to be maxed since it will be replaced with a better offensive skill in 2nd job advancement. After maxing Slash Blast, continue with maxing Soul to help you in 1 hit kill weaker enemies or dealing extra damage to higher level monsters. Iron Body and HP Boost does not help much in training at this job but would be helpful when you reach higher levels. HP Boost decreases the risk of dying easily when dealing with boss powerful attacks whereas Iron Body save some HP (Health Points) when you bump into monsters.

Explanation:
Soul Blade is much more flexible compared to Brandish since it can hit multiple enemies located on different platform close and far away from you. Therefore, add 1 SP into Soul Blade instead of Brandish. You could add 1 SP into Brandish to try it out but you will need to remove 1 SP from another supportive skill (e.g. Sword Booster). Max Sword Mastery to raise your minimum damage so you will hit a more stable damage. This is followed by Physical Training which will raise your STR and DEX. With some dexterity, you will be able to have some accuracy to accurately hit monsters above your level and finally max Rage to temporarily boost your min and max damage while training. This guide does not max any offensive skills since it will soon to be replaced with 3rd job advancement skills. Most monsters below level 60 can be 1 hit KO using Level 1 Soul Blade with all 3 damage boosting skills (Rage, Sword Mastery and Physical Training) maxed. Since we have offensive skills covered in 3rd job, it would be wise to channel those unused SP (Skill Points) into 2nd job supportive skills.

6. Save remaining SP until you reach level 100 and max Advanced Combo.
7. Max Intrepid Slash, Coma, Panic and Magic Crash.

Explanation:
Intrepid Slash will be your primary attacking skill for 3rd job until you unlock Soul Driver at level 90. Soul Driver is a much efficient skill in eliminating multiple mobs and best with 1 hit KO. Currently, you will only need to add 1 SP into Intrepid Slash first to use for leveling. Max out Radiant Charge and Combo Attack. Add 10 SP into Self Recovery and save remaining SP for Soul Driver. Self Recovery is very helpful especially when it comes to replenishing your MP after you use Soul Rush for travelling wide large maps.
After reaching level 90, max Soul Driver followed by Self Recovery and save SP again for Advanced Combo Attack which will be unlocked at level 100. Max Advanced Combo Attack and the rest of the skills in your preference. I don’t use Panic or Coma much during training, mostly spamming Soul Driver against bosses and mobs.
