Birth of a New Hero

In a small forest south of Dawnveil called Arboren, there lived a young girl by the name of Chase, who grew up idolizing the Heroes of Maple World. One day Chase saved a cat named Arby, but this was no ordinary cat. Arby is a founding member of the Critter Champs, a band of mighty animals. By befriending Arby and forming a pact with the Critter Champs, Chase just might have the potential to be the hero she always wanted to be.

  • Beast Tamers start with a tail and animal ears.
  • The Beast Tamer tail and ears can be hidden with transparent Cash items.
  • Beast Tamer’s Character Card will increase Monster Defense Ignored: 2% on 30, 4% on 60, 6% on 100, and 8% on 200.

Obtain gifts from your critter pals for each level gained between Lv. 11-150. Rewards include Animal SP Potion, Animal Reset Scroll, Revolution Kitty Soul Scepter, Red Cube, and more!

  • Possible gifts are split up between different level ranges. 11-30, 31-60, 61-100, and 101-150.
  • An envelop will appear over your head whenever you level between 11-150 to quickly take you to the reward window.
  • Gifts can be reviewed and obtained by clicking on the available quests button on the left and selecting the quest “[Beast Tamer] A Guardian’s Blessings”.
  • Each gift listed can only be obtained once.
  • All gifts listed in each level range will be obtainable when leveling to the end of the level range.

Skills

Fort the Bear will allow you to stand your ground and pulverize your enemies.
Lai the Snow Leopard will allow you to quickly blaze through the battlefield to bring the hurt.
Eka the Hawk will give you unparalleled mobility to traverse any terrain and offer support skills.

Last but not least, Arby the Cat will make you the most popular person around thanks to the numerous party buffs and healing abilities.

  • Beast Tamers are able to expand the skill inventory window to view the skills of all their animals at the same time by pressing the green button on the bottom right of the skill inventory window.
  • Passive skills from each animal are not shared between all animal modes.
  • SP is shared between all animals.
  • Skills must be learned in order to obtain the next skill.
  • All of the SP for an individual animal can be reset with the Cash item Beast Tamer Animal SP Reset Scroll.
  • Beast Tamers don’t use Mastery Books.
  • Shared skills will be learned and increase in mastery automatically from leveling.

Requirement: Characters level 160 or higher that have completed the ‘Cherry Moon Samurai’ quest in Sakura Castle.
Overview

  • The Ninja Castle is back by popular demand. Sakura Castle has been overrun by the Emperor Toad and his Ninjas, and it’s up to you to stop him!
  • To reach the Ninja Castle, you must travel to the Mushroom Shrime in Zipangu. From there, you may speak to Palanquin and be transported to the Ninja Castle. Speak to Hoshi to begin the quest ‘Playing Around in Ninja Town’ and investigate the Ninja Castle!
  • Monsters and quests have been changed to be more challenging, and drop better rewards, for characters level 160+
  • A new daily repeatable quest, ‘A Vigilant Eye’, has been added for players who complete ‘The Emperor Toad Strikes Back’ quest chain.
  • Prior completion of Ninja Castle quests have been reset so that players who completed them previously can obtain the new rewards.

  • Upon completing ‘The Emperor Toad Strikes Back’ quest chain, players are rewarded the following:

Malaysia Quest Update

  • Requirement: Lv. 120 and above
  • Players will now receive potions or food items when they complete several of the quests that they were not given before.
  • These items include Power Elixirs, Ginger Ale, All cure potion, etc.
  • Prior completion of Malaysia quests have been reset so that players who completed them previously can obtain the new rewards.

Singapore Quest Update

  • Requirement: Lv. 135 and above
  • Changes have been made to the experience, mesos, and items awarded for some of the Singapore area quests.
  • Prior completion of Singapore quests have been reset so that players who completed them previously can obtain the new rewards.

Collect Golden Horse Points!

January 22 – February 18

  • Requirement: Lv. 13 and above
  • Talk to NPC Cassandra to start the event.
  • Hunt monsters in your level range to collect Golden Horses.
  • Each one you pick up gives you a random number of Golden Horse points from 10 – 50.
  • Once you reach 1000 points, talk to Cassandra again, and she will give you one of a number of rewards such as:
    • Advanced Equip Enhancement
    • Potential Scroll
    • Golden Hammer
  • The event can be completed once a day per character.
  • The player cannot collect more than 1000 points a day.
  • The player is told how many points they have in total each time they collect another Golden Horse.

January 22 – February 18

  • Requirement: Lv. 13 and above
  • Accept [New Year’s 2014] Complete 2.0.1.4.! from the left event notifier.
  • Hunt monsters in level range to collect numbers.

Dawn of the New Year

  • Accept [New Year’s 2014] Dawn of the New Year from the star event notifier.
  • Collect 100 Young Suns from monsters in level range then turn the quest in from the star event notifier.
  • Can be done every 10 minutes

Reward:

  • Mini-Sun Box (cannot be traded, and must be opened during the event period)
    • Open Mini-Sun Box to get a Mini-Sun Badge (30 day duration)
    • Mini-Sun Badge rank and stats are randomized

Fortune Telling

January 22 – February 18

  • Requirement: Lv. 13 and above
  • Talk to NPC Cassandra to start the event.
  • She will read your fortune and give you one of two blessings.
  • Each blessing will last for 30 minutes.

  • Speak with Clara, Irena, and Lilin or Neinheart, Jules, and Paolo in the Event Hall to accept their respective “Gettin’ Cozy” quests.
  • Complete their quests every 10 minutes to gain Likability from each of the characters.
  • On February 14, Valentine’s Cards can be received from the characters.
  • Give the cards to Cassandra to obtain rewards based on Likability.

Reward:
Each time Likability is raised, you will receive:

Candy Score Achievement

February 7 – February 20

  • Requirement: Lv. 13 and above
  • Quest first appears after the player collects their first 5,000 Candy Points.
  • Players get Candy Points by picking up Valentine’s Day Candy from defeated monsters.
  • Accept [Valentine’s Day] Candy Score Achievement from the Chocolate Heart notifier, or by talking to Cassandra.
  • Players will get a reward after collecting 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 30,000, 40,000 and 50,000 candy points.
  • The player can use up to 100,000 points a day; this means they can collect each prize twice a day.
  • Candy Points that are collected are only applied towards the next achievement prize after the achievement is collected from Cassandra.
  • Candy Points are not removed when accepting each Achievement reward.
  • Candy Points used in the Valentine’s Day Gift Shop do not affect the numbers for the Candy Score Achievement.

    How to Participate

    • During the event dates, an envelope notifier will appear over character’s heads every 20 minutes from 6am to 12am Pacific each day.
    • After accepting the invitation, players will be sent to a waiting room. From here, players can learn the rules of the game, exit the map if they choose not to participate, or enter the game after the timer reaches 0.
    • When the timer reaches 0, players in the waiting room are split into groups of 3 – 5 to play the game.

    How to Play

    • The object of the game is for the group of players to defeat the giant monster.
    • First, players select a difficulty: Easy, Normal, or Hard.
    • Arrow keys will appear on-screen as the music is playing. Players must hit the corresponding key when it reaches the circle on-screen. Completing a group of notes will launch an attack at the monster.
    • If all players in a group complete their row of notes, a special attack will be launched at the monster.
    • The group has a ‘special meter’ that fills as notes are completed. When this is completely filled, all players must rapidly tap the ‘Space Bar’ to launch a barrage of missiles at the monster.
    • The group wins by defeating the monster before the music stops or before they have taken too many hits.
    • Players are given a grade based on their note completion; earn a grade ‘S’ or higher to unlock the next difficulty level.
