Cannon Shooter 1st Job Skills

Cannon Blaster
Attack 6 enemies 1 time with fireball.
LV1: MP Cost: 7, Damage: 208%, Max Enemies Hit: 6
LV20: MP Cost: 11, Damage: 265%, Max Enemies Hit: 6

Cannon Strike
Attack 1 enemy 4 times.
LV1: MP Cost: 7, Damage; 76%, Number of Hits: 4
LV20: MP Cost: 9, Damage; 95%, Number of Hits: 4

Blast Back
An emergency escape measure using cannonfire that can reduce enemy movement speeds.
LV1: MP Cost: 45, Damage: 180%, Max Enemies Hit: 3, Slow Chance: 28%, Slow Duration: 2, Enemy Speed: -18
LV10: MP Cost: 30, Damage: 225%, Max Enemies Hit: 3, Slow Chance: 55%, Slow Duration: 4, Enemy Speed: -45

Monkey Push
Jump once more in the same direction. The higher the skill level, the further you jump. Push the Jump Key to activate.
LV1: MP Cost: 18, jumps a certain distance
LV5: MP Cost: 10, jumps a certain distance

Cannon Boost
An improvement to the Cannon that permanently increases Weapon Attack and Defense.
LV1: Weapon ATT: +2, Weapon DEF: +25, Magic DEF: +25
LV10: Weapon ATT: +20, Weapon DEF: +250, Magic DEF: +250

Cannon Shooter 2nd Job Skills

. Scatter Shot
Shoot many small shells forward
LV1: MP Cost: 16, Damage: 128%, Number of Hits: 3, Max Enemies Hit: 4
LV20: MP Cost: 24, Damage: 185%, Number of Hits: 3, Max Enemies Hit: 4

Barrel Bomb
Throw forward an oak barrel filled with explosives. The barrel will roll a certain distance, pushing enemies with it before exploding.
Note: The barrel is restricted by physical rules, causing it to go up hills slower, go off edges at angles depending on its launch speed, and requires a certain amount of ground in front of you before being able to be used.
LV1: MP Cost: 20, Damage; 32%, Number of Hits: 3, Max Enemies Hit: 8, Knock-back Rate: 50%, Explosion Damage: 275%

Cannon Booster
Pre-requisite: Level 5 Cannon Mastery
Increases the attack speed of your weapon. Must have a Cannon equipped.

Monkey Magic
Monkey magic that temporarily improves party member’s HP, MP, All Stats, Speed, Jump, Accuracy, and Avoidability. This buff can stack with any other buff.
LV1: MP Cost: 30, Duration: 15 sec, Max HP: +20, Max MP: +20, All Stats: +3, Speed: +1%, Jump: +1%, Accuracy: +8, Avoidability: +8

Cannon Mastery
Increases the weapon mastery and accuracy of Cannons.

Passively improve your critical hit rate and minimum critical damage.

Pirate Rush
Permanently improve your stamina, defense, and resistance to status effects.
LV1: Max HP: +2%, Weapon DEF: +14%, Status Effect Resistance: +2%
LV10: Max HP: +20%, Weapon DEF: +50%, Status Effect Resistance: +20%

Luck of the Dice
Test your luck! Roll a dice to get a random Buff. Roll a 1 and you get nothing. Note: 1: Nothing, 2: +30%, Defense 3: +20% HP & MP, 4: +15% Critical Hit Rate, 5: +20% Damage, 6: +30% EXP
LV1: MP Cost: 40, Duration: 66 sec, Cooldown Time: 480 sec
LV20: MP Cost: 60, Duration: 180 sec, Cooldown Time: 180 sec

Barrel Roulette
Explode an oak barrel to receive a random buff from inside. This buff will give you the chance to inflict status effects on enemies. Note: Oak Roulette does not affect bosses.
LV1: MP Cost: 35, Duration: 186, Randomly acquire 3% chance to inflict Darkness, Stun, Freeze, or Slow on each attack – Passive Effect – Damage +1% – Cooldown Time: 57 sec
LV10: MP Cost: 60, Duration: 240, Randomly acquire 30% chance to inflict Darkness, Stun, Freeze, or Slow on each attack – Passive Effect – Damage +10% – Cooldown Time: 30 sec

Monkey Furious
Pre-requisite: Level 20 Barrel Bomb
Launch a cannon ball at up to 10 enemies in front of you, dealing XX% damage 3 times. The cannon ball will go through them without exploding but will mark them with a ‘Gunpowder’ debuff. Debuffed monsters will take XX% damage every second for XX seconds and will take XX% increased damage from all of Cannon Shooter’s skills. There is a cooldown of 10 seconds.
LV1: MP 38 consumption, 142% damage to 10 enemies attacked three times, and 100% chance of 105% damage per second, 10 seconds, the Canon shooter all of the damage to the enemy by 20%, Cooldown: 10 seconds
LV20: MP 62 consumption, 180% damage to 10 enemies attacked three times, and 100% chance of 200% damage per second, 20 seconds, the Canon shooter all of the damage to the enemy by 20%, Cooldown: 10 seconds

Counter Crush
When attacked, you have a chance to Counter, receiving no damage and dealing back some of your own. Note: If you are not attacking when Cannon Counter activates, you will enter the Cannon Counter animation, and execute counter Cannon delay. If you are attacking when Cannon Counter activates, you will deal damage without entering any delays or animations.
LV1: Activation Rate: 8%, Damage: 110%
LV10: Activation Rate: 20%, Damage: 200%

Cannon Spike
Fire a high powered shell from a summoned cannon that can pierce through several enemies.
LV1: MP Cost: 28, Damage: 202%, Number of Hits: 4, Max Enemies Hit: 6
LV20: MP Cost: 36, Damage: 240%, Number of Hits: 4, Max Enemies Hit: 6

Cannon Jump
Aim your cannon at the ground to use the recoil to jump into the air. Nearby enemies will take damage from the explosion. Press Up and Jump while in midair to activate. Note: The height jumped does improve with more points.
LV1: MP Cost: 55, Damage: 174%, Max Enemies Hit: 6
LV5: MP Cost: 35, Damage: 210%, Max Enemies Hit: 6

Monkey Wave
Unleash a sound wave to attack enemies. Charging this attack will let you do full damage. Whenever you hit a critical, there is a chance to bypass the charge requirement to do full damage.
Note: Monkey Wave will display a buff over your head indicating it can be used without charging. This buff is activated at the displayed rate when you hit a critical.
LV1: MP Cost: 35, Damage: 480%, Stun Rate: 45%, Activation Rate: 5% – Passive Effect – Critical Hit Rate: +1%
LV20: MP Cost: 55, Damage: 860%, Stun Rate: 95%, Activation Rate: 50% – Passive Effect – Critical Hit Rate: +20%

Pirate’s Spirit
Permanently increases the rate at which Counter activates, and has a chance to enable a stance effect when struck.
LV1: Active Effect – MP Cost: 50, Duration: 10 sec, Knock-back Resistance: +22%, Passive Effect – Cannon Counter Rate: +1%
LV30: Active Effect – MP Cost: 80, Duration: 300 sec, Knock-back Resistance: +80%, Passive Effect – Cannon Counter Rate: +15%

Cannon Barrage
Load up several shells at once and unload them consecutively in concentrated fire. Increased critical hit rate and defense ignore.
LV1: MP Cost: 45, Damage: 455%, Number of Hits: 4, Critical Hit Rate: +1%, Defense Ignored: 5%
LV30: MP Cost: 63, Damage: 600%, Number of Hits: 4, Critical Hit Rate: +15%, Defense Ignored: 20%

Double Down
Pre-requisite: Level 20 Luck of the Dice
Chance to roll two dice to test your luck. If the dice are matching, you get a strengthened buff. Note: 1/1: Nothing, 2/2: +40% Defense, 3/3: +30% HP & MP, 4/4: Critical Hit Rate: +25%, 5/5: Damage: +30%, 6/6: EXP: +40%
LV1: MP Cost: 60, Chance to roll two dice: 10%, Duration: 184 sec, Cooldown Time: 200 sec
LV5: MP Cost: 60, Chance to roll two dice: 50%, Duration: 200 sec, Cooldown Time: 200 sec

Cannon Overload
Pre-requisite: Level 10 Cannon Mastery
Raise your cannon’s performance to its highest, permanently improving damage done, and allowing for attacks to ignore some defense.
LV1: Mastery: 56%, Damage: +21%, Defense Ignored: +5%
LV30: Mastery: 70%, Damage: +50%, Defense Ignored: +20%

Mega Monkey Magic
Pre-requisite: Level 20 Monkey Magic
Improves the effectiveness of Monkey Magic. Temporarily improves party member’s HP, MP, All Stats, Speed, Jump, Accuracy, and Avoidability. This buff can stack with any other buff.
LV1: MP Cost: 60, Duration: 300 sec, Max HP: +420, Max MP: +420, All Stats: +31, Speed: +11%, Jump: +6%, Accuracy: +163, Avoidability: +163
LV30: MP Cost: 80, Duration: 300 sec, Max HP: +1000, Max MP: +1000, All Stats: +60, Speed: +15%, Jump: +10%, Accuracy: +250, Avoidability: +250

Hero’s Will
Cures you from being Seduced. The cooldown decreases as the skill level increases.
LV1: MP Cost: 30, Cooldown Time: 600 sec
LV5: MP Cost: 30, Cooldown Time: 360 sec

Monkey Militia
Summon a pair of elite monkey gunners to assist you in battle.
LV1: MP Cost: 40, Duration: 32 sec, Damage: 283%, Cooldown Time: 10 sec
LV15: MP Cost: 70, Duration: 60 sec, Damage: 395%, Cooldown Time: 10 sec

Maple Warrior
Increases the stats of all party members.
LV1: MP Cost: 10, Duration: 30 sec, All Stats: +1%
LV30: MP Cost: 70, Duration: 900 sec, All Stats: +15%

Anchors Away
Summons forth a powerful magnetic anchor. The anchor pulls enemies towards itself, causing damage, and self-destructs when it expires, dealing more damage. Note: Immediately upon being used, Magnetic Anchor will perform one hit, and pull all monsters. Attacks at a rate of 1530ms.
LV1: MP Cost: 62, Duration: 6 sec, Damage: 264%, Self-destruct Damage: 415%
LV15: MP Cost: 86, Duration: 20 sec, Damage: 460%, Self-destruct Damage: 625%

Cannon Bazooka
Fire a shell that’s been loaded with the maximum amount of gun powder, scorching through enemies in front of you.
LV1: MP Cost: 50, Damage: 313%, Number of Hits: 4, Max Enemies Hit: 8
LV30: MP Cost: 75, Damage: 545%, Number of Hits: 4, Max Enemies Hit: 8

Nautilus Strike
Sortie the Battleship Nautilus to rain ordnance on your foes.
LV1: MP Cost: 350, Damage: 404%, Number of Hits: 3, Max Enemies Hit: 15, Cooldown Time: 60 sec
LV30: MP Cost: 350, Damage: 520%, Number of Hits: 3, Max Enemies Hit: 15, Cooldown Time: 30 sec

Required Level: 170
Summon a rainbow flash from three cannons with the help of your allies. This skill has been changed from a keydown to an installation, meaning Cannon Shooter can now move around and attack after placing it, it will not activate Damage Reflect. MP Cost: 30, Duration: 12 sec, Damage: 400%, Number of Hits: 2, Max Enemies Hit: 10, Attack Rate: 240 ms – Cooldown Time: 90 sec

Epic Adventure
Required Level: 200
A power only available to Adventurers who have explored the Maple World that increases your damage and maximum damage. MP Cost: 100, Duration: 60 sec, Damage: +10%, Max Damage: +5,000,000 – Cooldown Time: 120 sec

    Hi, ayumilove,Ur guide was great!!!But 2 things to point out:
    1.The image of cannon spike(3rd job) was wrong.
    2.The image of cannon bazooka(4th job) was also wrong.
    Hope that u would correct it soon.:D

    Hey Ayumi, love the site and I really appreciate the time and effort you have put into these guides. However, I noticed that this guide is incorrect now that the revamp has come to GMS. In second job, you need to leave Scatter Shot at level 15 in order to max Barrel Bomb. I haven’t found anything else, but I’m only level 70 on my cannoneer, lol. Thanks again!

    Some of the new skills are in the RED revamp. Sadly, in GMS, the RED update left out the DB/cannoneer revamps for some reason; probably because of the beast tamer. Just wait for them to get revamps.

    Hi Ayumi, I made a Cannoneer about 2 days ago, and I noticed after leveling for a bit that I didn’t have the skill Monkey Push. This made my character very slow and difficult to train. So I hoped that I would get the skill in 2nd job advancement, but unfortunately, after leveling myself to 30, I still don’t have the skill. I’m pretty sure I completed all the quests, and I’m quite certain that I didn’t skip any steps of the tutorial. Any ideas?

    Why would you max cannon spike (which immediately gets replaced 4th job) instead of cannon jump (which can be linked with monkey push for more mobility) in 3rd job? Cannon spike only gets 2% dmg boost with that one extra point. I know you don’t get that much more of a jumping boost with the 1 point into cannon jump, but it makes more sense to put it into that than a move that almost immediately gets replace in 4th job.

    Thanks hjx for updating me. I have checked out KMS and it seems they have released the final patch of the RED update containing Dual Blade and Cannon Shooter skill revamp. I’ll update the skill build guide here soon with the new and removed skills.
