Cannon Shooter (Cannoneer / Cannon Master) is one of MapleStory Special Adventurer who uses Cannon aided with by a Monkey companion. Cannoneer primary stat is STR (strength). Cannoneer skills is a mix breed of Mechanic and Pirate, therefore you can see some skills are alike disguise in vivid animations.

You are cruising on a ship until a balrog suddenly invades the ship and thrown you off-board which results in you being unconscious. When you regain consciousness, you find a monkey in front of you. Soon, you realised that the monkey saved your life. You thanked him and ask if there is anyone else on the island and he points over to Cutter who then asks you to retrieve some items for him so that you can escape from the island. Once you’re done, you bid goodbyes to the monkey, but when you arrive at the Nautilus, you realize that the monkey had came along with you! He then becomes your partner and you set off for a new journey.

Master of Organization
Automatically increases equip, use, etc, and set-up slots.
Slot expansion occurs in 1st job and 2nd job advancement by +24 slots.
Master of Swimming
Swim and jump faster while in water.
Permanently increases all stats and Max HP and Max MP. Upon reaching level 70, you can bless a selected character in same world on same account with permanent stats.

Cannon Blast will be your primary 1st job training skill. Max Cannon Boost to have a better base damage before proceeding with maxing Cannon Blast. Once these 2 skills are at their full potential, max Blast Back (which can be used as a teleporting skill while traveling) and dump the other remaining Skill Points (SP) into Cannon Strike. Cannon Strike is not effective against cluster of weak monsters, better go with Cannon Blast from the start.

Level 1 Scatter Shot overpowers Cannon Blast (1st job skill) and you can use this to take down weak enemies as you strengthen your mobbing knocking barrel skill. Barrel Bomb has longer range and knockback enemies away from you before they could retaliate. However, there is a slight delay with it. You can either switch Barrel Bomb with Scatter Shot, but don’t max Scatter Shot since Barrel Bomb base damage will be further improved in 3rd job. If you are a player who uses 2 types of skill for training, you can bump those 2 skill’s level simultaneously, but not recommended since your damage is distributed.
Cannoneer 3rd Job Skills
Attack 6 enemies 4 times with a flame drilling cannonball.
LV1: MP -28, 180% Damage.
LV20: MP -36, 220% Damage.
Attacks 10 nearby enemies 5 times with mini explosions. The explosion has a chance to stun them for a short period. Also passively increases Barrel Bomb damage.
LV1: MP -30, 223% Damage, 45% chance to stun for 2 sec. Cooldown 5 sec. +3% Barrel Bomb Damage
LV20: MP -46, 280% Damage, 95% chance to stun for 5 sec. Cooldown 5 sec. +30% Barrel Bomb Damage
Attacks all enemies within path and has a chance to stun them. If hit enemy with critical, there is a chance enemy receives max damage! Permanently increases Critical Rate.
LV1: MP -35, 620% Max Damage, 45% Stun Rate, 2% chance to deal max damage. +1 Critical Rate.
LV20: MP -55, 1000% Max Damage, 95% Stun Rate, 50% chance to deal max damage. +20 Critical Rate.
Attack 6 enemies nearby the launching area where you shoot the ground with cannon to propel yourself up to a platform above you instead of climbing ladder/rope.
Level 1: MP -55, 174% Damage.
Level 5: MP -35, 210% Damage.
Enchant your attacks to inflict random abnormal status. These abnormal statuses are darkness / stun / freeze / slow. Abnormal status will lasts for some period on enemies. Also permanently increases overall damage.
LV1: MP -35, 3% chance to inflict abnormal status lasting 3 sec. Enchant buff lasts 186 sec and cooldown in 57 sec. +1% Damage.
LV10: MP -60, 30% chance to inflict abnormal status lasting 5 sec. Enchant buff lasts 186 sec and cooldown in 30 sec. +10% Damage.
Luck of the Dice
Roll dice to get a random buff. Roll a 1 and you will not get buff.
LV1: MP -40, Buff lasts 66 sec and cooldown in 500 sec.
LV20: MP -60, Buff lasts 180 sec and cooldown in 200 sec.

Cannon Spike and Monkey Madness will be your primary attacking skill for training and bossing. However, remember to cap Cannon Spike to 19/20 skill points so you have sufficient skill point to max both Monkey Wave and Cannon Jump. There are some debates going over with Monkey Wave vs Cannon Jump. Both are actually useful for damage and mobility. Monkey Wave grants bonus Critical Rate which allows you to have higher chance of dealing critical damage against your enemies whereas higher skill level of Cannon Jump increases your jump height, making it easier to reach high level platform with ease and to navigate/cycle hard-to-travel maps for training or can be used to travel long distance maps should you not have any access to VIP Teleport Rock.
Cannoneer 4th Job Skills
Attack 6 enemies 4 times with blazing laser cannon.
LV1: MP -50, 313% Damage.
LV30: MP -75, 545% Damage.
Attack 1 enemy 5 times with high chance to deal critical damage.
The bonus critical rate only applies for this skill.
LV1: MP -45, 218% Damage, +1% Critical Rate.

Summon Nautilus Battleship to attack 15 enemies 3 times with airstrike.
LV1: MP -350, 404% Damage, Cooldown: 60 sec

Anchors Away (Supportive)
Summons an anchor that pulls nearby enemies toward it.
Also deals damage to enemies while being pulled at fixed interval.
Upon expiring, it will explode and deal additional damage.
Level 1: MP -62, Lasts 6 sec. 220% Pull Damage. 508% Explode Damage.
Level 15: MP -86, Lasts 20 sec. 500% Pull Damage. 620% Explode Damage.
Monkey Militia (Supportive)
Summons stationary twin artillery monkey to attack an enemy at a fixed interval.
Has a fixed cooldown of 10 seconds.
LV1: MP -40, Lasts 32 sec, 280% Damage.
LV15: MP -70, Lasts 60 sec, 280% Damage.
Double Down (Supportive)
Rolls two dice, and if both has same number, +10% buff effect to the original.
Example: Both dice rolls on 6, you gain 40% EXP Rate (30% + 10%)
However second dice only appears based on a occurring rate.
Has a fixed cooldown of 200 seconds.
LV1: MP -60, 10% chance to roll 2 dice. Buff lasts 184 sec.
LV5: MP -60, 70% chance to roll 2 dice. Buff lasts 208 sec.
Mega Monkey Magic (Supportive)
A successor of Monkey Magic boost stat skill. The buff can be stack with others and lasts at fixed period of 300 sec.

Cannon Overload (Passive)
Increase damage and ignore some enemy defense.
LV1: +11% Damage. Ignores 5% Enemy DEF.
LV30: +40% Damage. ignores 20% Enemy DEF.
Pirate’s Spirit (Passive/Supportive)
Temporarily increase chance to resist knock back by enemies.
Also passively increases counterattack chance.
LV1: MP -50, 22% knockback resist, +1% Counterattack Rate. Lasts 10 sec.

The skills mentioned in skill build should be maxed in sequence for effective leveling speed. Cannon Bazooka is a great mobbing attack while Cannon Barrage is used for single target high damage attack. Before maxing these 2 primary skills for 4th job, boost your damage with Cannon Overload and get extra buff from Double Down. The rest of the skills can be any order though. Nautilus Strike is maxed last since you spamming it is kinda costly and has a huge cooldown.

Rolling Rainbow (Level 170)
Summon your crewmates to join forces and shoot three flashes of rainbow light at up to 10 enemies in front of you for 400% two times continuously, for a maximum of 12 seconds. There is a cooldown of 90 seconds. The maximum damage for this skill is 9,999,999. (Key-down skill, MP Cost: 30, max Enemies Hit: 10, Damage: 400%, Duration: 12 sec, Cooldown: 90 sec, Max Damage: 9999999)
Epic Adventure (Level 200)
A buff that gives the legendary Adventurers of the Maple World 10% increased damage and the ability to pass the damage cap by 50,000 for 60 seconds. There is a cooldown of 120 seconds. (MP Cost: 100, Duration: 60 sec, Damage: +10%, Max Damage: +50000, Cooldown: 120 sec. Only applies to Explorer class within the party.)
