BTD5 Tower Pros and Cons

1) Spike Factory (3/2) easily destroy a Blue Blimp.
2) Spike Factory (4/2) easily destroy a Red Blimp and Rush of Regen Ceramic Bloon.
3) Boomerang Thrower (2/3) easily pops Ceramic Bloon.
4) Boomerang Thrower (3/2) efficiently pops long queue of weak Bloon.
5) Use Tack Shooter to eliminate Bloon rush in early game while farming cash for other tower.
6) Use Glue Gunner and Ice Tower to slow enemies down while hurting them in the process.
7) Best combo with Ice Tower is Boomerang Thrower (4/2) or Monkey Apprentice (2/3).
8) Sell of Spike Factory (4/2) for a Super Monkey (3/2) when you have sufficient cash.
9) Aid Sun God with Village (3/2), Ice Tower (4/2) and Glue Gunner (4/2) to easily wipe out Camo Ceramic Regenerating Bloons.

BTD5 Best Strategies

How to make the most powerful Monkey Temple?
Below is the the required towers to easily take down multiple Z.O.M.G.
1 x Super Monkey (To be transform into Monkey Temple)
3 x Mortar Tower (4/2) aka The Big Ones – Shoots 6 Golden MOAB Mauler Missiles.
1 x Glue Monkey (2/3) aka Glue Liquefier – Slow down and pop bloons with corrosive acid.
1 x Monkey Apprentice (4/2) aka Master of Air – Teleport Bloons to the entrance.
1 x Ice Tower (4/2) aka Viral Frost – Freezes bloons in a large ice explosion.
1 x Sniper (3/2) aka Deadly Precission – Max out 360 degrees blade damage.
There is some bug with Glue Monkey (4/2) where its green glue shot by Monkey Temple does not pop bloons with its corrosive acid. Cannon Tower can substitute Mortar Tower, however the damage would be much less than it. For less lag, just go for 1 Super Monkey + 3 Mortar Tower and assist the Monkey Temple with 20 Sniper (4/2) to pin down those Z.O.M.G at the entrance.

How to beat rush waves in early levels with short amount of cash?
There are 2 methods: quality vs quantity. It depends on the situation as well. For instance, if you lack of cash, its best to go with mass building cheap towers such as Dart Monkeys. If you have sufficient cash, go for a Boomerang Thrower (0/3) as it has more bloon-popping power when position straight ahead against incoming bloons. Or you can have a balance of both if you have sufficient cash like Bomb Tower (3/0) + a dart-type monkey that can pop black Bloons. Example of these tricks seen to be use in BTD5 Daily Challenge Nov 11 2012 starting with a Boomerang Thrower (0/3).

What towers are best suited against early invasion of Blimps?
You can opt for Bomb Tower (2/3) aka Mauler M.O.A.B as they deal 10x damage against a pack of Blimps, M.O.A.B and Z.O.M.G (Zeppelin). Otherwise, go for at least 5 Tack Shooters (3/0) position best at corners or round-about. You can also defeat them with a mere 3 Ninja Monkeys (4/2) or 1 Super Monkey (3/0) or at least 8 Dart Monkeys (2/3).

What is the best method to break mass ceramic Bloons?
Use 1 Ice Tower (3/2) + 1 Boomerang Thrower (2/3). The Ice Tower slows all Bloons to a crawl, allowing your Boomerang Thrower to slice each and every single frozen Bloon without having its Boomerang miss its target. Second method is to slow them down with Glue Gunner (2/2) and use 2 Boomerang Thrower (2/3) and some Road Spikes to prevent escaping Bloons if you lack the sufficient funds.

How to defeat Camo Leads?
Get Monkey Village with Radar Scanner (0/2) and have a Bomb Tower OR Boomerang Thrower (4/2) nearby the village. You can also use Ninja Monkey (2/3) OR Dart Monkey (4/2) or Spike Factory (2/0) OR Monkey Sniper (2/2) OR SPECIAL AGENTS: Super Monkey Storm (SMS).

How to farm cash quickly in early game?
Hire 2 glue gunner (2/1) and position them at the entrance and have a Spike Factory at the bloon exit. Also have a tower such as Ninja Monkey between them and target strong. The middle tower will pop the strong bloon, making them reach slower to the exit and giving time for the glue acid to take its effectiveness. If the glued Bloon make it with at least 1 Red/Blue Bloon, the spikes laid by the Spike Factory will pop those escapees. From there, you can start farming cash and invest in 2 Monkey Farms (2/0)

How to farm cash quickly in late game?
Start by building 4 Monkey Farm (2/0) and have a Monkey Village in the center of them. Having a Monkey Village to a tower will reduce upgrade cost by 10%. This is especially useful when you are upgrading costly towers. Then upgrade each existing farm to a Banana Farm (3/0) and later as (4/2). Re-invest the cash to build up to 8 Monkey Farm (4/2). Banana Farms are effective till up to wave 120 because they only produce a maximum set of banana per round. Use this opportunity to upgrade Monkey Village (4/2) so that offensive towers can earn +50% more cash per bloon pop. Also, mass build Monkey Sniper (2/4) as this will give you a constant supply of money crates worth $1000-$1500 per charge. Have a Monkey Village (4/2) nearby these Snipers to reduce their skill cooldown by 20%. Take care to build up your defenses as you are building your economy as paying too much attention to banana farming might lead to bloon leaks.

How to easily pop massive bloon rush such as mass ceramic rush at Round 63 or mass regenerating camo bloons at Round 75?
You need 4 ingredients to be successful in these rounds. You need a Glue Gunner (2/3) + Ice Tower (3/2) + Bomb Tower (4/2) + Ninja Monkey (4/2) + Monkey Village (2/3) + some offensive towers such as 2 Boomerang Thrower (3/2) or 1 Super Monkey (3/0). Glue Gunner slows down and damages bloons overtime with its corrosive acid. Ice Tower freezes bloons (more like stunning them for few seconds) and also slows them after they come out from its frozen state. Bomb Tower will stun them for 0.5 seconds (500 miliseconds). Ice Tower stun delay is higher than Bomb Tower, so having the Bomb Tower assisting Ice Tower to slow the Fast Bloons increases the effectiveness of Ice Tower. Ninja Monkey is used to teleport Bloons back to square 1 (the entrance). You can use Monkey Apprentice with Summon Whirlwind ability but this removes the Glue and Ice effects on Bloons. Take note that Ninja Monkey throwing stars can’t affect Frozen Bloons but with the help of Monkey VIllage (2/3) aka Monkey Intelligence Bureau, it allows all attacks affect any type of bloons. This benefits the Pineapple Bomb, Bomb Tower and Mortar Tower as it can now attack Black Bloons which are immune to explosives, and allowing Ice Tower to freeze and pop bloons that are immune to ice!

MapleStory Demon Avenger Skill Build Guide

MapleStory Resistance Demon Avenger

Demon Avenger is one of MapleStory Resistance Warrior born with special abilities and traits. Similarly to Demon Slayer, Demon Avenger wields two weapons: a Blue Lightsaber sword (aka Desperado) and Force Shield. This shield does not increases Force as this job uses a different system, EXCEED SYSTEM which consumes HP (Health Points based by Max HP percentage) to activate skills. His damage is based by current HP. In short, this character only requires HP stats to perform better. If you use one of Exceed Skills frequently, it will become more powerful but tires your body faster due to Overload State. There are male and female version of this to choose from (no gender lock) with white wavy hair as their signature trait as opposed to Demon Slayer black hair.

The creation of Demon is back and it just got more interesting. Demon Avenger has arrived in MapleSEA. You can now choose to be a Demon Slayer or Demon Avenger upon completion of the Demon tutorial. Unlike Demon Slayer, Demon Avenger does not utilize Demon Force for his skills. Instead it uses its HP to execute his skills, bringing the gameplay to a whole new level. Do note that for existing Demon Slayer, players are unable to convert Demon Slayer to Demon Avenger.

Demon Avenger Overview

CLASS: Resistance
EQUIPMENT TYPE: Warrior
MAIN WEAPON: Desperado (unique weapon type)
SUB EQUIP: Force Shield

MOBILITY: Normal

Demon Avenger Storyline

The Demon’s story begins at the Temple of Time, approximately a hundred years ago. The Demon had served under the Black Mage for many years, and suddenly realizes he had became an absolute ruler and could no longer serve him. He encounters his henchman, Mastema, and demands her who she serves. After she admits her loyalty to the Demon, he tells her to deliver a letter to the Heroes. Despite the concern, she agrees. Earlier that day, there was a meeting between the Demon and the three other Black Wing commanders: Orchid, Von Leon and Arkarium. During the meeting, they mentioned that the Black Mage demanded everything destroyed. This alarms the Demon, as his family was located near Leafre, one of the burning sites. He quickly leaves to that destination. However, all he could find was a locket of his deceased mother and brother. Back in the current time, the vengeful Demon attacks Arkarium as he tries to enter the Black Mage’s throne, but to no avail. Arkarium summons a few Lykas, but are quickly defeated by the Demon . As Arkarium is about to make an all out attack on the Demon, the Black Mage opens up his doors, granting the Demon permission to enter. The Demon engages the Black Mage in a fierce fight. However, the Demon is no match for his master and ends up being sealed in a large egg. Fortunately, the Demon severely crushes the Black Mage’s defenses which would soon allow victory for the Heroes.

Demon Avenger Notes

  • The Demon Avenger is a new job within the Resistance Class. Though sporting many similarities to the Demon Slayer, the Demon Avenger uses a different weapon. Its source for attack is also different.
  • The Demon Avenger uses a new weapon called a Desperado as his main weapon, while the Force Shield becomes his secondary weapon.
  • As a HP based character, all his skills utilises his HP and his level of damage will also depend on his current HP.
  • The Demon Avenger also uses a new skill system called the Exceed Skill System. How this works is that when the Demon Avenger uses special Exceed skills, and the more he unleashes them consecutively, he will become faster and stronger. However, with this system, he will also recover less HP per attack and HP consumption will increase as well.

[NOTE] 5 SP provided at Level 10.
0. 1 SP automatically added into Double Slash, Release Overload, Absorb Life.
1. Max Demonic Sharpness, Absorb Life, Release Overload, Double Slash.

Explanation:
Demon Avenger’s primary attacking skill will be Double Slash. Double Slash is maxed last since most enemies can be killed within 1-2 hits at this stage. Max Demonic Sharpness first to increase movement speed and jumping height. You can always use Demon’s Wing to glide through the air to reach enemies quickly but for nearby enemies, preferably jump and attack with Double Slash. Next, max Absorb Life to maintain current HP as high as possible. The lower your HP goes, the lower your base damage is. Then, max Release Overload to replenish lost health instantly!

Demon Avenger 2nd Job Skills

Exceed Demon Strike Exceed – Demon Strike (Active)
Attack 10 enemies 4 times by rushing forward and slashing any obstacles. During Exceed Mode, Attack Speed increases as time passes, but this also increases HP consumption. The charging range increases for the final strike.
LV1: 87% Damage, -1% HP.
LV20: 125% Damage, -1% HP.

Bat Swarm Bat Swarm (Active)
Attack 8 enemies with a swarm of bats. The summoned bats expire after attacking 40 times or 10 seconds past or travelling more than 1800 pixels or whichever limit reaches first. Change the summoned bat direction (left or right) by pressing the skill again.
LV1: 143% Damage, -305 HP.
LV20: 200% Damage, -400 HP.

Demon Booster Demon Booster (Supportive)
Temporarily increases attack speed by 2.
LV1: -380 HP. Lasts 28 seconds.

Abyssal Rage Official Rage (Supportive)
Temporarily increases weapon attack.
LV1: +2 Attack, – 305HP, Lasts 28 seconds.
LV20: +40 Attack, – 400HP, Lasts 180 seconds.

Solid Will Solid Wall (Passive)

Inner Strength Inner Strength (Passive)
Permanently increases Strength and Physical+Magical Defense.
LV1: +6% Strength, +100 Defense.
LV5: +30% Strength, +500 Defense.

Demon Avenger 2nd Job Skill Build: Everything maxed except Demon Strike (19/20)
1. Add 1 SP into Demon Strike, Bat Swarm.
2. Max Official Rage, Desperado Mastery, Inner Strength, Solid Wall.
3. Cap Demon Strike at Level 19.
4. Max Bat Swarm, Demon Booster.

Explanation:
Demon Avenger’s primary attack will be both Demon Strike and Bat Swarm. Therefore, add 1 SP (Skill Point) into both skills. When you are training in a map that has 2 platform/level, casts Bat Swarm on the first platform, and use Demon Strike to clear the second platform. Level 1 Bat Swarm easily one hit kills (OHKO) or 2HKO enemies enemies that are within your level range. Since Demon Strike isn’t required or dependent by 3rd Job Skill, you can channel 1 SP from Demon Strike into Bat Swarm. You can use Bat Swarm as a secondary attacking skill along with your primary offensive 3rd Job and 4th Job Skills. Also Bat Swarm is useful to clear 2 close by platforms where Demon Strike could not reach.

Before you start maxing your offensive skills, max Official Rage first to boost your damage significantly to allow 1 hit kill with Demon Strike. Since Demon Strike deals multiple attacks per enemy, it offers some damage stability, therefore Desperado Mastery is the second on the list to be maxed. Next, max Inner Strength to boost your physical and magical defense followed by Solid Wall. This reduces damage received from enemy to 1. Don’t max Solid Wall before maxing Inner Strength since its percentage type. You will need high base defense for Solid Wall’s percentage defense boost to work its magic. Cap Demon Strike at Level 19 so you have 1 SP extra to max Bat Swarm. A more efficient method would be adding few SP into Demon Strike to get into OHKO sweet spot and then add the rest to Bat Swarm. Finally, max Desperado Booster last since it only affects the activation delay of Demon Slash and Bat Swarm at this point but will be useful for 3rd and 4th Job Skills.

Demon Avenger 3rd Job Skills

Exceed Moonlight Slash Exceed – Moonlight Slash (Active)
Attack 10 enemies 2 times around you in a wide circle.
LV1: 355% Damage. -3% HP.
LV20: 450% Damage. -3% HP.

Ease Exceed Pain Ides Exceed Pain (Passive)
Permanently improves Exceed Skill damage during Exceed mode and reduces Overload penalty when Absorb Life is triggered.
LV1: +1% Exceed Damage. Reduce Overload Penalty by +1% HP.
LV20: +20% Exceed Damage. Reduce Overload Penalty by +2% HP.

Shield Charge Shield Charge (Active)
Attack 12 enemies 2 times while pushing them against your raised shield and deal additional final damage at the end of rush point.
LV1: -205 HP, 205% Rush Damage. 105% Final Damage.
LV20: -300 HP, 300% Rush Damage. 200% Final Damage.

Refract Evil Refract Evil (Supportive)
Temporarily increase elemental resistance and immunity to negative buff while decrease damage received from enemy attacks.
LV1: – 220 HP. +12% Resistance and Immunity. -1% Damage. Lasts 28 sec.
LV20: – 600 HP. +50% Resistance and Immunity. -30% Damage. Lasts 180 sec.

Diabolic Recovery Diabolic Recovery (Supportive + Passive)
Temporarily replenish HP quickly for a period of time. Also improves idle HP recovery and reduces interval delay for recovery. Idle means being stationary (hanging on rope, standing or sitting)
LV1: [Active] -220 HP, +2% HP over 72 sec. [Passive] +1% HP every 23 sec.
LV20: [Active] -600 HP, +40% HP over 300 sec. [Passive] +5% HP every 4 sec.

Inhale Vitality Inhale Vitality (Active)
Attack 12 enemies within a large green mist by holding skill key down which consumes 100 HP per second. Release key to deal an additional damage and recover some health.
LV1: [KEY-DOWN] 210% Damage. [RELEASE] 620% damage, +1% HP, Cooldown 39 sec.
LV20: [KEY-DOWN] 400% Damage. [RELEASE] 1000% damage, +10% HP, Cooldown 20 sec.

Advanced Absorb Life Advanced Absorb Life (Passive)
Permanently increases Absorb Life’s HP Recovered.
LV1: +6 HP%.
LV5: +10% HP.

Demon Avenger 3rd Job Skill Build: Everything maxed except Shield Charge (19/20)
1. Add 1 SP into Moonlight Slash, Shield Charge, Inhale Vitality, Ides Exceed Pain.
2. Max Diabolic Recovery.
3. Add 11 SP into Ides Exceed Pain.
4. Max Advanced Absorb Life, Moonlight Slash, Ides Exceed Pain.
5. Max Refract Evil, Inhale Vitality.
6. Dump remaining SP into Shield Charge.

Explanation:
Demon Avenger’s 3rd Job primary attacking skill will be Moonlight Slash. If you are fighting against enemies which could not be killed in 1-2 hits, cluster those enemies with Shield Charge and eliminate all of them in one-go with Moonlight Slash or Inhale Vitality. Level 1 Inhale Vitality is useful for this purpose by dealing high DPS (Damage Per Second) while siphoning health from enemies in exchange of high cooldown. Diabolic Recovery is maxed first to constantly replenish your health every few seconds while you drain enemy health with Absorb Life. This allows to you to maintain max damage without having your health diminish to 70% and below. Add 11 SP into Ides Exceed Pain to reduce the Overload Effect. Why 11 SP? The reduction effect stays the same from Level 1-10 and Level 11-20. Then pump up your damage by maxing Moonlight Slash followed by Advanced Absorb Life to minimize the HP Consumption from primary attacking skill.

Demon Avenger 4th Job Skills

Exceed Execution Exceed – Execution (Active)
Attack 4 enemies 3 times while ignoring a percentage of their defenses.
Hits an additional 1 time during Exceed Mode.
LV1: 510% Damage, -4% HP, Ignores 1% Defense.
LV30: 800% Damage, -4% HP, Ignores 30% Defense.

Shield Chasing Shield Chasing (Active)

MAPLESTORY DEMON AVENGER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

How to skip Demon Avenger lengthy introduction video?
[ANSWER] You can rename the Demon.avi to SkipDemon.avi (rename to something different) in your MapleStory installation folder (Default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Wizet\MapleStorySEA) to hide the file from MapleStory client. If the game could not find the Demon.avi video, it will skip that scene. Second method is to delete the avi which is not recommended. Third method is to move that avi video to another location, perhaps you can create a backup folder and move the video there.

[SOLUTION] WordPress Jetpack Issue Stats.php Line 219 (version 2.2.5)

Hi guys, sorry that my site (http://ayumilove.net/) was down. I’m not sure how long it was but fortunately, I’m able to bring it up back by disabling and re-enabling the jetpack plugin which was causing the issue PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_editable_roles() in /wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/stats.php on line 219

I found out that it was not only my site that was hit by this issue, but many others (thousands of wordpress users) who had this plugin updated from version 2.2 to version 2.2.5 around May 1st 2nd 2013.

To those wordpress users who are facing this similar JetPack issue, you must log out and login to your wordpress admin panel first before proceeding with disable the plugin and re-enabled it.

The jetpack plugin developer (Andy Skelton – automattic engineer) has commented on this issue 10 hours ago (approximately May 2nd 10pm) here is the quote from him : “I must apologize for the bug. I didn’t realize that get_editable_roles function is only loaded in admin, making it potentially unsafe to call from stats_upgrade_options when the next page load after upgrade is a non-admin page. The fix has been committed to the Jetpack plugin. The next bugfix release will include this.

Meanwhile, you should be able to work around the issue by loading just one wp-admin page after upgrading the plugin. This should trigger stats_upgrade_options.” Source: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/updating-jetpack-breaks-wordpress

MapleStory Thief Skill Build Guide (Assassin + Bandit)

MapleStory Thief Assassin Bandit Job Selection

Thief is one of the five MapleStory Adventurer/Explorer jobs that has 2 subclasses which are Assassin and Bandit. Bandit uses dagger (close-combat) while Assassin uses Claw and Throwing Stars (range-combat). Both Assassin and Bandit will share some common skills while having their own unique skills in each job advancement. Thief has the highest dodge rate among all MapleStory Classes, avoiding enemy attacks while dealing massive damage especially against single enemies but fairly strong with mobs of enemies. Thieves are a perfect blend of luck, dexterity, and power that are adept at surprise attacks against helpless enemies. A high LV of avoidability and speed allows Thieves to attack enemies from various angles.

3. Dump remaining SP into Double Stab or Self Haste.

Explanation:
It is faster to train with Lucky Seven (claw and throwing-star) instead of Double Stab (dagger) since you can reach far-end monsters without walking much but the drawback is you will need to refill throwing-stars at potion/equip shop. Purchase a few set of throwing-stars (approximately 3-4 sets of throwing-stars) to get started. For those who are funded, get high-end throwing stars such as Tobi, Steely, Ilbi or Balanced Fury. Otherwise, start with Subi and save meso to purchase these throwing-stars from FreeMarket or hunt from monsters.

Assassin Skill Build: Everything maxed except Gust Charm
1. Add 1 SP into Shuriken Burst and Gust Charm.
2. Add 5 SP into Claw Mastery followed by 6 SP into Claw Booster.
3. Max Flash Jump, Claw Mastery and Shuriken Burst.
4. Max Physical Training, Critical Throw and Claw Booster.
5. Max Meso Guard and Shield Mastery.
6. Dump remaining SP into Gust Charm.

Explanation:
Assassin primary skill will be Shuriken Burst (orange spinning tornado) cast from your claw. It attacks multiple monsters instead of 1 like Lucky Seven. However, this skill damage is highly dependent on Claw Mastery, so max Claw Mastery. Speed is the key to leveling fast, so Flash Jump is maxed early. Otherwise, train in a fairly tight spot where you can snipe tons of mobs spawning around you without moving from your safe strategic position. Hidden-streets are best place for these kind of training. Next, boost your damage with Physical Training and Critical Throw. Finally, max Claw Booster to lengthen the buff duration. Use Gust Charm to make some personal space between you and monsters. Assassins should be attacking monsters from far without getting bumped and losing health in the process.

LV1: 12% Mastery, +6 Accuracy.

LV20: -22 MP, +30 Weapon ATT, Lasts 180 sec

Bandit Skill Build: Everything maxed except Savage Blow.
1. Add 1 SP into Steal.
2. Add 5 SP into Dagger Mastery followed by 6 SP into Dagger Booster.
3. Max Flash Jump, Dagger Mastery and Steal.
4. Max Channel Karma, Physical Training and Dagger Booster.
5. Dump remaining SP into Savage Blow.

Explanation:
Bandit primary attacking skill will be Steal instead of Savage Blow because it can attack several mobs at once. It will allow you to level up quickly while training on mobs of monsters. Before maxing this skill, speed up your movement with Flash Jump to reach monsters quickly and stabilize your damage with Dagger Mastery. Add some SP into Dagger Booster to reduce delay of slashing enemies. Savage Blow will be replaced by Midnight Carnival (Thief 3rd Job Skill) that deals more damage and more hits on a single enemy. Therefore, save your SP for other skills. Once Steal is maxed, rocket up your damage with Channel Karma and Physical Training. Lastly, max Dagger Booster to lengthen the buff duration.

MapleStory Dawn Warrior Skill Build Guide 2013

MapleStory Dawn Warrior (Soul Master) Cygnus Knights is third in line to receive skills revamp from KMS (Korea MapleStory) on 10th April 2013 with this [kMSt] v.1.2.475 – Dawn Warrior Reborn! patch. Dawn Warrior can now level up as high as the rest of the classes and able to utilize 4th Job Skills and Hyper Skills. They do not require any Mastery Book to unlock their skills.

The new Soul Master uses two modes: Falling Moon and Rising Sun. You can activate a certain skill when you are in either Falling Moon or Rising Sun mode. As you notice below, there are several pair of skills that shares the same skill icon which means they are combined together, therefore you do not have to level them separately. There is also the Solunar Time state in fourth job that lets you have the benefits of both! It is similar to Luminous System where you can switch between Light and Dark Mode.
